It is definitely is not. Always having to be on the move, risk being questioned by the police in the middle of the night, not having the ability to cook properly, so you can't eat properly. Not having a bathroom when the need arises or the ability to wash yourself or your clothes. Then there is the issue of being at the mercy of the weather. Not much fun to be inside a small tent in stormy weather. Even a mundane issue like getting rid off garbage can be difficult. On top of that not having a fixed income either so you might worry how you pay for your next meal doesn't sound very appealing either. All of these things are people with homes never give a second thought. There is nothing enviable about being homeless and whilst your comment might be an attempt at being humurous, it is a bit callous actually. I'd say try walking in this guy's shoes for a few days and see again if you think it is something to joke about.
Your English is fantastic! My wife and I enjoy watching your videos and hearing your stories with our family. We are too poor to travel the world but we get to see Japan through your eyes. Thank you! Best wishes and luck to you!
I'm kind of in the same boat as you, but I made a promise to myself that someday before I die, I _will_ go to Japan, even if I have to work overtime and save up for 10 or 15 years. I cut back a lot of things in my daily life and saving every penny I can. But someday it's gonna happen. If it means enough to you, do whatever you need to make it happen at least once. You owe it to yourself. ✊
I like the map in the video showing where you were. That makes it so much easier to understand for outsiders like me (I am in Canada). That food looks SO good. You have so many good people around you. I like this. The fish were amazing. Slow motion was a great effect. I know nothing about Saipan this is all new information to me. I loved learning why you know English. You are going to get told this a lot in the comment section but your English is fine. We use slang here too. Sometimes a word in another language just explains something better than in English. You can also teach us Japanese words!!! We can learn from you in that way as well!!! I love how much people are excited to see you Robin. That is really good. You are a good person who finds good people. Life is good Robin.
I agree.. Plus those kei vans/campers r awsome & cheap n great on gas. And just 2 have a semi home base n not have to set up n take down tent all the time n way better 4 rain or snow than a tent. Plus im sure if u set up a go fund me n a patreon ur viewers would donate n help get u set up.
@@pv2639 I'm pretty sure that's when psychic spies from China try to steal your mind's elation, and little girls in Sweden dream of silver screen quotations.
Hello From Sweden . My family and I are going to Tokyo next month for the first time. I’m leaning a little Japanese by myself from internet. I like to watch your RU-vid channel sometimes and you speak good English 😃
Im starting to learn a lot about Japan from your videos. Ive always liked the normal everyday Japanese people, I hope to go one day, I know its cheap at the moment but thats not so important, its probably very busy as well.
To be honest , Akita is my favourite place in Japan . The people there are so much more down to earth and polite than those that I have encountered elsewhere in Japan. Would like to visit there again in the future :) Your command of English is really good , so don't feel bad about not being good in it.
61.5k! You are doing great! And your English is a lot better than you give yourself credit for! I hope you come to travel the states someday. You'll love it! You and loved and blessings are coming your way for your life, and it will pave the way for you to in turn bless others lives! 💓💗❤️ Those koi fish sure love being fed 😂 that was so awesome! The perfect spot to go feed the koi! There are SO MANY!!! Japan is so beautiful and it's somewhere I have always wanted to travel to! And Saipan (did I spell that correct?) Sounds awesome too with all the different cultures around! Was it a beautiful place to grow up? No matter what I am doing, when I ret your notification, I stop a watch your video! Ps: an idea for you! Post your thoughts and feelings more often in your community section. When you are struggling, when you are grateful, when something crazy happens. It will connect you to you ever growing audience more, especially to those following more closely. We care about you! ❤
DBC..Daily BLESSINGs Coming! .. Thank You ALL for Everything, Everyday!! That’s so COOL Skateboarding across Japan, I still gotta go back and watch some of those Videos, but looks like so much fun chilling having some drinks and making relationships… I have Never been able to do that Good keeping friends so I just keep to myself. KEEP PUSHING FORWARD!
Thank you for teaching me something new today, after you mentioned Saipan I went and did research on it. What an interesting Island that is a melting pot of multiple different cultures.
I've been teaching middle and high school in Taiwan for twenty years at international schools with both native English speakers and non-native English speakers. Your English is great! Also, your videos are exactly what I needed right now at this point in my life. I'm considering moving into van life on Taiwan, and though Japan is obviously different, it's just inspiring to see how you handle the various situations you face. Of course, you can't portray every little detail of your current life in your videos, but they provide a unique insight that I haven't seen elsewhere. Keep it up!
Greetings from Hachioji! I can relate to your language stuff. I'm originally from Miami and I spoke mainly Spanish until I started school as a little kid. From then, it was almost 100 percent English and only spoke Spanish at home and with immigrant friends. I'm "fluent" in Spanish but I wouldn't feel confident using it in a professional environment without some heavy preparation. Now I'm trying to learn Nihongo as an adult. Wish me luck. BTW, tell your friend with the Minor Threat shirt that he has great taste in music!
I am just a gaijin but maybe the kind of jobs you can get where you need the 英会話 kind of suck...like really really sucks...work culture in Japan for "salary man" type stuff notoriously has terrible "work life balance". If he can make enough on YT good for all of us. Just check out the wood joinery in the those building!!! Awesome.
がんばって。 I understand the pain and frustration you go through with knowing more than one language and being homeless. You would think that things would be better. There doesn't seem to be many good people in the world
Hi I keep watching your episode every weeks and happy to journey with you Your English is perfect , so keep going and don’t give up You are such a wonderful person and you had a great friends around you that also fortunate and always be positive 🙏🏼
Notification squad what up I'm still blown away in every video by how fresh and nice the food looks there, pretty much wherever you go. Even if it's not healthy sometimes, it always looks _AMAZING._ And those fish are borderline terrifying when they go into a feeding frenzy like that 😂
Your English is as good as or better than some Americans I know! Keep up your practice and you will continue to develop your skills. I think your content is very accessible to any native English speaker!
You are right, life is more about happiness and our experiences than it is about money. Some people like yourself are lucky to realize that while others never do and only chase money, never accomplishing anything else but that. Surely when we die money will not matter, but the friendships we made, the adventures we chased and our own happiness will matter forever in our being.
Man your English is very good by my standards. Don’t worry or be afraid of anything you are very good. 👍 You speak English better that a lot of people in my country in which we learn English since Kindergarten to University and if people don’t need to speak they will forget or not want to speak to some foreigners. Love your channel ❤ those Koi fish were awesome
Your English is excellent. So many people teach English as a permanent, full-time job. Teach Away has a website that provides permanent, full-time jobs as an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher in schools in any country of your choosing. The fact that you don't have a home to leave behind is a plus for working in other countries. You can teach English in Japan and online to anyone in any country. The public library has free internet and computers for public use. There are a lot of English teaching companies online.
I plan on going to Saipan when I go to Japan. Your English is basically average American English. I have to reteach myself the Japanese I learned since I've been studying Mandarin, so I know how much of a headache speaking multiple languages properly can be.
Naruto is very popular in the west, a significant portion of your viewers definitely understand the references. Very cool video! I love the little history tangents. Akita seems like an interesting historical place! Also thank you for clarifying the part about your English. I was curious about that as well.
Those koi fish are huge ! And your English is good , I'm bad at grammar and I'm a native English speaker ( English and Japanese have different grammar systems and sentence structure so don't beat yourself up over it) . I'm getting 6-ish hours of sleep so things are getting better.
Hello from near Clearwater Florida! 🌞 So, im a lil bit older than u but WOAH i thought u were in ur mid 20s! You have great genetics 😊 Loved this video! That Minor Threat shirt ur friend had on....ive been listening to them SO much lately when i drive. I have a friend that lived here but now lives in Osaka since around 2005 maybe. Ur channel kind of shows me how life is over there. I love it! Super cool! And yeah, like others have said, your english is GREAT! Hope u have a great night(its just past midnight in Japan) and Hope u have a wonderful day❣️✌🏽
Robin, brother, keep doing what you do. Dont bother with other people's negative comment. Being homeless or not, having a job or not, it doesnt matter. You owe no body any explanation. The most important things in this life our health and happiness more than anything. Things are not always black nor white. Trust me, u are living other people's dream. Cheers brother!!!
I really want your channel to grow to millions of subs. I know it's hard and you are right about happiness being the most important thing. Look into providing localization for a videogame company. I know they need people like you.
You speak English really well, I would never be able to learn a second language, I'm dyslexic and struggle with reading and writing. I'm just wondering how you manage in the winter months being homeless?? It must be tough to stay safe and warm.
I am 40 years old Japanease living in Canada for 2 years. I am still learning and struggling with English. I don't know why, but I feel comfortable on your English, so I dicided to follow and learn from you. Keep going, Thank you!
your niche content really appeals - i enjoy seeing japan through your eyes rather than the usual influencers/rich kids type, and showing real friends/people of Japan rather than the usual business owners or influencers that many travel Japan videos already focus on. thank you for doing what you do.
Feeding the coi looks like so much fun! I'm from south Texas, and there is a place near my childhood home that is full of red-eared sliders (a type of turtle). I have so many fond memories of going there to feed them dry cat food! 😍 Loved watching them all glide around in the water. It wasn't nearly as full as this pond thought, and I'd always try to help the under-dogs ✌🏻 I only speak English, and I understand everything you say in English. I've grown up around a lot of accents because of the melting pot that is Houston. You're doing great!
It's good you're vlogging in English and it's also good you use it to explain things about Japan and the Japanese language to help us understand what's happening around you. Keep it up, because we're learning a lot from you.
You should be proud of knowing 2 languages and be confident with your english because its really good, also you should be planning things because you are going to get big on youtube and probably not homeless anymore if you want :) best of luck from Spain dude, and thanks for sharing your life
