@Tray_. if you pay attention in the Final Battle, when Sasuke runs out of Chakra, the base Rinnegan is active, but it loses its tomei and again in Boruto
His rinnegan was given to him by hagoromo through sage of six paths chakra but even tho it’s still his eye. The chakra in that eye is not originally his and given how broken his rinnegan is, not being able to deactivate it I think gives some sort of a balance to it
Everything you said was correct except for it "balancing out" because of the sage Chakra it doesn't use any excess Chakra, though as his chakra lowers the powers of his rinnigen wane. If that was what you were implying then I apologize for saying you were wrong.

The fact that he can’t deactivate it is a fair price to pay. Because it’s always activated it’s constantly having an affect on his chakra just like how Kakashi’s sharingan was constantly draining his chakra it’s the same concept with Saskue
@olivermartinez2668 Using the Rinnegan is enough of a downside, the Chakra cost is absolutely insane since using the teleportation ability uses like 25% of his Chakra.

That's not exactly just a transplant though, it's a melding of eyes. If you don't know what I mean, go back and read the Itachi Sasuke fight again, and notice the Oni mask with two empty eye slots whenever Itachi talks about the EMS
Madara didn't deactivate his Rinnegan rather when he was summoned with reanimation jutsu it would bring the shinobi at their prime Madara obtained Rinnegan when he was an old man
Nagato was given madara Rinnegan but I think madara did awaken Rinnegan after the final valley fight between him and hashirama. We dont have an exact idea for when Rinnegan awoken but his eyes were given to nagato
So yeah madara can deactivate his Rinnegan and sasuke can deactivate the 6 tomoe Rinnegan since his left eye is the base Rinnegan which cant be turned off possibly due to his sage of 6 paths chakra.

Either that, or because the 6 tomoes are a sign that it’s slightly stronger than normal, because Sasuke received some of Hashirama’s cells along with SO6P stuff.
Hagoromo’s Rennigan was permanent also. It was basically his base form eyes just like Hamura’s Byakugan. It consumes no chakra for them while giving them all of the eyes passive abilities. It’s the same for sasuke. It doesn’t consume his chakra when the tomoe aren’t active because it’s his base from eye and cannot be reverted 🤷🏽♂️
But that’s the thing you people don’t understand even if sasuke and Naruto didn’t get nerfed after the timeskip they are useless even at full power. Could they have trained to get stronger possibly but it’s unlikely since they are constantly busy. On top of this he would get weaker considering he still has all the ability’s of the rinnegan even with one eye bc it’s a special type of rinnegan. If he had two it would be a waste of potential and chakra.

@@8BitGamer4life lol no. Sasuke's rinnegan was not literally given by hago. Sasuke most likely awakened his rinnegan because kabuto fused the Hashi cells to save Sasuke. Hago gave them the seals and not literally the rinnegan.

Yeah that’s basically like byakugan, When it activates they contract their veins but the appearence of the eyes doesn’t changed and when they are not channeling chakra in it, it’s just a better eye than normal and looking different I think that’s pretty much the same with sasuke’s rinnegan cuz u can see the tomoes changes when he do not activates it
Sasukes eyes are itachis technically because in shippuden he’s going blind due to over using the mangekyo sharingan so he had tobi transplant itachi’s eyes into Sasukes head so he could unlock eternal mangekyo sharingan
It's not about having another's eye, you're forgetting they already explained that if you're not an Uchiha You can't activate or de activate the dojutsu. Nagato was Uzumaki that's why, Sasuke's case is a wonder indeed
It's because it was implanted into his eye like Kakashi and Nagato and when he wants to save chakra, he also closes that eye. Most of the time when his hair covers his rinnegan eye, it's because the eye is closed.
It makes sense, likewise Hagoromo doesn't deactivate his Rinnegan cuz it's always like his normal eye.(Though it might be some amount of chakra depleting which actually doesn't matter to someone having chakra level like Hagoromo)
I think the answer simply is that Kishimoto didn’t want the viewer to see his rinnegan before it was revealed (even though the anime has an animation error where they show Madara rinnegan briefly when he was soloing the ninja alliance).
You forget that the eyes of Madare are from his younger brother. When you awake the MS, the more you use it, the more blind you become. Same happened to Sasuke. He transplated Itachi's MS. So there must be another reason...
well there are seems like 3 ways of obtaining rinnengan. 1.getting them changed like nagato 2.evolving sharingan by being uchiha who implants flesh from hashirama or any other ashura's descendant who is also reincarnation just like in madara's case ,just like some ootsutsuki who could swap rinnengan/sharingan/byakugan at will 3.being uchiha who gets half of chakra of ootsutuski like sasuke and his eye becomes permanent rinnegan which still has abilities of EMS and can turn into six tomoe rinnengan .
His rinnegan has also the properties of Eternal Mangekyo - hence he doesn't need to switch. And even though it's by hagorama, it's his own evolved Mangekyo to Rinnegan (so he should be able to go back to black eyes) it is simply a mystery

If chakra has to be spent, it means the eye works in conjunction with the brain in order to process all the extra information, if the chakra is needed to activate only one time, it means the eye, brain and everything else is physically different and perfectly adapted to stay like that, meaning that anyone could carru those purple eyes, but only few can awake the entire system
Another possible reason is this: Madara swtiches between his mangekyo and his rinnegan because he cant use both at the same time. To use rinnegan abilities he needs his rinnegan active. And to use his mangekyo abilities he needs to have that active. Where sasukes rinnegan has his mangekyo abilities as well as his rinnegan abilities. Meaning he has no need to switch between either. Since he can always use his left mangekyo ability and his rinnegan abilities simultaneously
Final valley fight showed sasuke can deactivate it by closing his eyes when he doesnt have enough chakra for the Rinnegan to continue being used until he uses the chakra draining rinnegan ability we see hin use on naruto to reactivate the Rinnegan. 6 tomoe Rinnegan activates when using specific jutsu possibly to make it more powerful or when using the time soace ninjutsu or eventhe amaterasu which his EMS is active in the right eye or sharingan is active in the right eye
The Rinnegan only uses chakra when the user is seeing out of it. It also takes a lot of energy to deactivate it, especially since Sasuke's tomoe rinnegan is effectively 2 rinnegan in the same eye. This means that Sauske chooses not to deactivate it, since its passive abilities don't drain too much chakra, and it keeps him ready to fight.
Maybe his rinnegan is in base and not consuming chackra if the tomoe is inactive. When sasuke activates his sharinggan the tomoe in his rinnegan also activated seems that he is able to use only the full power of his left eye if both of his eyes are activated.
My idea is he keep it activated to train his eye's duration or power or stamina similar to itachi who always keep his sharingan active it's like some kinda training
Kabuto actually stated when he revived madura through edo tensi that he modified maduras body so he was stronger then when he was in his prime by allowing him to switch between sharingans and rennigans
Sasuke does not walk around with runner always activated. In boruto he activates it when he needs too, but war arc sasuke had it activated the entire time.
The eyes that turned to rinnegan were in fact originally, from izuna [ awakened by madara] and itachi [ awakened by sasuke with hagoromo]. To obtain eternal mangekyo madara and sasuke transplanted their brothers eyes
Rinnegan is the natural original form of Otsutsuki's eyes. Sharingan came later with mixing too much with humans. Sharing is basically a downgraded mutation of the Rinnegan
Iirc There's a very short scene in the movie Naruto the Last where both of Sasuke's eyes are normal (white sclera with black iris) but I think it has been explained to be a mistake of the animators.
The eyes were in fact NOT his own. He lost vision in his eyes, replaced them with itachi’s eyes and then got the left one turned into the rennegan by hagaromo
I've got a theory, similar to how obito gave his eyes to kakashi diring their fight with kaguya, maybe that rinnegan is actually hagoromo's and sinse he is the one to give sasuke a rinnegan it makes sense, this also explains why he only has one rinnegan
If you actually watch the anime the rinnegan is a permanent eye once activated even madaras the only reason why it hadn't activated when kabuto brought him back thru reanimation is because it was taking time for Chakra to build up sasukes tomoe dissappear in the rinnegan when he deactivates his sharingan

First, Madara could activate Rin'nin Gan at will because he obtained his Rin'nin Gan by infusing White zetzu chakra (aka Hashirama Senju's). By controlling his shakra flow he can turn off his Rin'nin Gan by turning off whites zetzus shakra. It is also known why Sasuke can't turn off his Rin'nin Gan because he got a blessing from hagoromo (Similar to a God in Naruto). Hagoromo blessed him with a portion of his sharka especially his Yang chakra, evolving his eternal mangekyo sharigans into the eternal mangekyo Rin'nin gan combining them both. Sasuke having a irreversible shakra reserve with having both shakra types by default, while Madara depends on receiving the Yang shakra from white zetzu having one activated deactivates the other.
The last part is correct because his eye was given to him by the sage of 6 paths cause he gave sasuke half of his power and we know that hagoromo normal eyes were just rinnegan
Sasuke's rinnegan doesn't deactivate because despite it still being his own eye, the chakra from the sage of 6 paths within it isn't his own. Plus, with the small fragments of lingering tailed beast chakra. It remains active as per its unique property similar to how once Kaguya attained the rinne-sharingan from the absorbed 10 tails/divine tree
Bruh this is vetoed as Sauske can turn it off and has done it before, (shown in the last movie) he quite litterally doesn’t do it cause it takes too much chakra and time to turn it all the way off and back on again 😊

No?? He only deactivated the tomoe part of the rinnegan (pretty much the part that make his eye act like a sharigan as well allowing him to use susanno, Amaterasu, etc)
and in boruto when he deactivated the eternal hypnotic sharingan his rinnegan became the normal rinnegan and after when he deactivated the sharingan I think the rinnegan was also deactivated and come to normal eye i have no idea
It's a clashed ownership because it's "Sasukes" but hagaromo made it and as we've seen through Itachi having the creators chakara in there eye is the same as not owning it as Sasuke couldnt stop ameratsu from attacking obito
I gotta go read again cause ive never seen madara switch back n forth. When he unlocked the rinnegan in reanimation it was one eye. And Sasuke in canon, can turn off his rinnegan, his tomoe disappear.
When you unlock the rinnegan, you're stuck with It no matter what. The only reason Madara was able to switch between Sharingan and Rinnegan Is because he was in his edo tensei form. Once he got reanimated with the Rinne Rebirth, he wasn't able to switch back to the Sharingan
