one of my friends used to play football 2,3 years ago. I was literally shocked to see his dedication towards sports like he use to work hard for 9 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening for football. he played state level and defeated the opposite team by 9-0 score . he himself scored 8 goals and opponents were the winner of last year. he was that kind of player belonging from a village. he improved a lot and later when he went to give trails for his selection in the national team, he impressed the committee of selectors. he was very happy that now finally his dream came true. HE submitted all his documents and his certificate of approval that he has qualified the district and state level there. but 5 days later he received a letter, which should contain his certificate and jersey for the team. he didn't receive anything except a note that you are disqualified😢😢. his joining letter was sold to someone else in Punjab and when he complaint he was kicked out of place saying that apne baap se 50 lakh maang ke lya to certificate milega.😢😢 he was heartbroken bcz of the corruption he lost all his hopes,his certificate,his dreams. his family knew his condition and they supported him and now his preparing for neet. wow great, the family instead of fighting with the people who killed the dream of his child ,they made him do NEET🤡🤡. THATS HOW OUR SYSTEM AND SOCIETY WORKS,ONE MORE TALENT WAS KILLED😢😢

My father works in sports department of odisha, I have seen my father work day and night for all the international events. The point is the former government has put so much effort in sports and the new government has completely sabotaged all the good works done by the BJD. I had been to the stadium and has seen how serious and disciplined the students were, with well educated coaches and a separate department of sports science centre. The new government has made the stadium open for visitors.... 🤐 Now the Kalinga stadium is almost like an academy for sports aspirants and now when common people go and roam around make the environment less serious. This thing is really concerning and we the people of odisha must understand the importance of these students. My father has been so stressed as soon as new laws were inforced. The government needs to stop politicising sports. This is just a minor portion of how government has actually changed the sports environment here. There is more to the story but would make many pages if i start writing... This issue needs to be on the highlight

Every point you mentioned, Akash is so true. I used to play Judo on a national and international level representing India. So much politics is involved in the system and every person is ready to pull down a good player who is capable of winning a medal. I have dealt with such situations during my sporting career but eventually gave up after 15 years of rigorous hard work. Sadly, India doesn't have a good sporting infrastructure and system.

regarding sports, I have something to share. I love CRICKET, but when I asked my parents to put me in an academy, they said - 1. Study is most important than sports; So if I want to play cricket, I must bring good results in study(1-5 rank in your whole class) to prove I can continue to balance both; BUT, if My RESULT in STUDY degrades (6-10 rank in your whole class), I must leave cricket; And also if My PERFORMANCE in Cricket Degrades (not 1st among all players),then I should leave CRICKET and focus on studies. ***Summary - Cricket is SECONDARY, STUDY comes first. 2. They will watch and judge whether I am good in Cricket or not. point to be noted, my father has no athlete background. My mother and her family had well reputed athlete background in Malda, west bengal around 1980-1990 [[STATE LEVEL]]. But my Mother never watched any of my game. 3. According to them, Sports is filled with Politics ,while Education system is not. So I should focus on my study, not sports. 4. They said since I can't become 1st in sprint in my school, I can't become a cricketer. ***is it actually?? 5. My father said to me "You can't watch cricket matches, because cricketers gets paid for playing, but what would you get?" ***My simple question is "In any sports (literally ANY) , Do you not watch respective sports matches just because YOU don't get any money?" / Do you not watch respective sports matches to learn something new or how to improve yourself or how to fix your weakness?"
