Why capacitor is connected in parallel with a DC motor? 

Good information but it would be much easier to understand and retain the information if you explained it while demonstrating it rather than giving a full explanation followed by a demonstration with no context

High voltage damage power source because beginning run need high power and it taken from Capacitor charged rather than power source

Is it ok to use a x7r radial capacitor instead on the older round ceramic of same value?? .047uf 50v.

I have this Dc motor running at 230V DC with a bridge rectifier what rating capacitor should I use, I have 200V to 300volts 100-120-150 uf rated ones.
