If you combined the character of Carlito when he first debuted with the obvious maturity the guy playing the character now has, he’d be getting a better run. That’s the long way to say WWE creative for him since his return has sucked. Maybe Carlito isn’t a Triple H guy? It never made sense to put him in the LWO to begin with and his betrayal of that group was piss poor. And now they have him chasing the Judgement Day group to join. Even if they don’t see him as a main event guy, he could help them round out their IC title division as a heel. I do hope they’ll give Carlito a fair shot to do some good singles heel work because he deserves to show what he can do.

I remember watching SmackDown the night Carlito debuted. It's alarming that it's approaching twenty years in Oct. My childhood was partially defined by that era. I was going on nine years old 😮

Carlito is living is best life hanging out and wrestling his friends, being a part of the hottest act on Raw, and getting paid good money to have a good time.

One of my biggest critiques of this new Era is it feels like older talent and established stars just seem to be there to put others over and aren’t really being used to win anything. On one hand I get using them to elevate young talent but on the other I feel like they should be making the most out of their limited time left to give them a proper final run before they leave. Guys like Shinsuke Nakamura who had his character revived only to job out. Or AJ Styles until his retirement angle which I’m hoping leads to something for him after this feud with Cody, since we know he’s not winning the title. The Good Brothers have been brought back and outside of what they do on NXT have been booked to put others over. Carlito who you just mentioned is in the same boat. Finn Balor has kinda felt like a background character ever since his feud with Rollins ended. Even KO and Randy haven’t been winning much. Really hoping to see a few them get back in that win column and do something fun before they retire. Just my personal opinion.

bruh give it some time, we just finished the biggest event of the year and people expect dramatic change to happen. If people pay attention to the little things, you know something big is getting setup.

The biggest angle he ever got involved was jobbing to John Cena and losing to Edge in a tag team match with Primo. His run now is no different from his run before. A midcard talent who loses to the top stars. The only difference now is that he's a respected veteran.

This video is pointless. Carlito is doing just fine. He's a veteran and is being used to help the younger wrestlers, and he's actually featured on a weekly basis

I just now back into Wrestling last year since the 90's. I had no idea who Carlito was. That being said, I kind of like him. I mean he's no Stone Cold or Undertaker or my boy Sting but who is.

WWE is so stacked most of their jobbers are world champs everywhere else; 95-99 rated wresters are fired for budget cuts, leave active Proformance, retire, are background guys or just leave. If you're not the best in the in the world you will fail in today's WWE, Carlito wasn't even the top thirty of his era he was like an 83 back then a 71 today, it's like average nascar in cars 3 racing all the new cars at the end of the movie, or chuck ladle coming out of retirement and getting destroyed by a rank 500 mma fighter a feeder fighter, let's be real for a moment you never stood a chance you're not bad everyone else is just significantly better now.

Ive loved carlito return since he's been back i wish shelton could have been in a similar role he's a vet now got to play your role and also to you point the roster is more vast then his time especially in the mid card back in 05 - 08 it was like 4 maybe 5 guys competing for 1 title/titles now its competitors left right and center just waiting on a shot who does more for the company then carlito, but still he's entertaining I get the Carlito feel every time he's on screen.

Some talent wants to be in his spot just to get noticed and showcase their potential. He's already in a good place for an old dog like him. He knew where he'll be when he signed in WWE again and I think he's content at his spot. He gets paid and featured even as a jobber.

I agree with you about the issues you mentioned about Carlito. And I hope Jacob Fatu doesn't get that kind of treatment. 'Cause that would be a very big miss.

Carlito is pulling a 3MB. He is just there to collect those big retirement paychecks. You can see it in his segments where he has to get physical with his "opponents", he does the bare minimum and ends up making his punches and ground and pound look weak, including that backstabber and half the time the spots in the altercation he is involved in look super weak. There are three kinds of veterans, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio and Carlito. AJ Styles is aggressive and loves putting in the work. Rey Mysterio is in his twilight years, dude has legit been wrestling pre WCW, I want him to enjoy what he is doing AND there's Carlito - does the bare minimum, still cashes in on his popularity of 20 years past and brings absolutely nothing to the table. Like Ric Flair once said, dude is just plain lazy. Great body build but no real interest in the game.
