Colon Cowherd called Aaron Rodgers a bust right before they went on their Super Bowl run. Same season infact. He even got a reporter from GB to call in and agree with him, but the reporter said “it wasn’t working out” only Colin went as far as to call him a bust. Then they ran the table and later on maybe the next year he went on Colin’s show and AR made a sarcastic remark about how he was glad he could play up to Colin’s standards and Colin had an akward inward laugh. The original video I am referring too was wiped from ESPN because I haven’t seen it anywhere since. I remember it well.

He never stood a chance. The Panthers ruined their franchise for the next ten years. They sold the house to get him while passing on Stroud and losing their chance on Caleb. What a horrible, horrible move.

what Colin doesn't seem to get about QBs going from college to the pros is it's EASY to be accurate when your WR doesn't have someone within 5-10 yards of him and you haven't been hit all day. these guys come into the league not used to the small throwing windows, short time in the pocket and the tight windows they have to hit. Its easy for bryce young to look accurate in college, all be 2 teams he plays every season is utterly outmatched by his squad. he never has to worry about free blitzers and even if they do get in his face in college, he's as or even more athletic then the guy rushing him, so he can easily buy time and then throw it to someone uncovered in the secondary. same problem happened to caleb williams. it's not a problem at USC if he takes his eyes off his WRs and watches the pass rush, because when he looks up again, 3 guys will be utterly uncovered in the secondary. This is the same problem all college QBs have to adjust to. and the guys who make it are the guys who can make that adjustment. The only thing you can watch for in college that might tip you off to a QBs greatness is how he plays when the passrush gets to him about as fast as an NFL passrush, and his guys are tightly covered. then you might get something from his play in college that might tip you off. but without situations like that, you sort of roll the dice on QBs.

Ever since Russell Wilson made a name for himself every franchise has fallen into the belief that the undersized QB can be a franchise player that can take them to the Top when in reality it cant be done. The undersized QB cant be the focal point of the team success because it comes with unorthodox issues such as simply lacking of field vision from short snap because they are undersized. The only anomaly that has shine despite being undersized was Drew Brees.
