You think they yelling and screaming at people is going to make them change their minds? Why would they decide to lose even more money for people angrily shouting at them?
@Mariofanaticanimations, we literally had two original stories last year, and people still weren't satisfied. Also, from what I heard, a lot of people weren't hyped for one of their upcoming original projects (Hoppers) when it was announced. If people want original ideas again, like they claim, they need to give the ones we do get an honest chance.

Woah, It's really safe to say that even though Cartoon Network Studios building is gone, at least the fans such as I are standing justice to this building, and that is what we need.
They just moved to a brand new building This was a decision made by the previous management of WB back when they were known as “WarnerMedia” and the person who made this decision is named Jason Kilar. And the new building did took 3 years to construct Plus, Brian A. Miller said on twitter that they were paying rent for the Burbank building for 20 years which is probably one of the reasons why they want to move.
There’s a Canadian song from 2000 about people working that follows a similar premise except the world isn’t being taken over. It’s just a bunch of office workers singing and dancing.
I’ve seen older people make the argument that animation serves zero purpose to society, and that anyone fighting for the right to do creative jobs should go out and get a real job instead of complaining. Obviously I disagree, but something about that statement disturbs me…
Honestly the same argument could be applied to any form of entertainment, even sports. But I doubt those elders would be happy if their favourite teams/players were forced to quit lol.
Use their own arguments against them, tell them sports tournaments serves the exact same purpose in society, with the addition of players having absurd salaries with corporate advertising backing.
It's pretty un-American to tell people who worked somewhere who were passionate about working there to "find a real job". Like, no? Animation industry works the same amount of hours as any other 'real job'. Everybody works hard at different things.

I spent so much time on the CN website as a kid. Never expected to it get Thanos snapped out of existence. Sad that the CEOs have no respect for its history
It’s sad to see an incredible building like that be a shell of its former self. But it’s great to know that people in the animation industry are standing up and fighting for it.

As a kid Cartoon Network meant everything to me and I really love the fact that the animators are standing to fight against the corporate heads by letting their voices be heard. David zaslav needs to be fired asap.

@@Richard-3874 Yeah I know they relocated to another building like WB animation but still the CN building was iconic for many other generations would know about in Atlanta even those they still have Hannah Barbara Europe studios. Like what shows are they currently playing on the channel? Hell they even shut down boomerang service.

I'll never forgive Discovery for stepping all over the Cartoon Network name and then lighting it ablaze. It's time for these selfishly uncaring CEOs to get their just deserts, and the animators to get their justice.

Even if CN ain’t fully dead as a brand, hence us getting some revivals of old shows, an upcoming crossover, and an anime called “Iyanu,” it’s still good that there are people out there fighting for their rights, having had enough of their treatment towards them. Not to sound melodramatic, but now that this strike is happening, the time is coming for when executives like Zaslav have to answer for what they did.
I do hold David Zaslav accountable for that. He should take a look at things like *_Beavis & Butthead_* and *_South Park_* as that's animation for adults.

The closing of CN Studios doesn't hit me NEARLY as hard as others because while I liked Cartoon Network, I liked/watched Nickelodeon more. I watched more Nickelodeon shows past the 90s than I did Cartoon Network Shows past the 90s. The 90s was PEAK Cartoon Network! Then they went downhill in the early 2000s aside from the gems that were Billy & Mandy, KND, and Foster's Home. Then they REALLY went downhill in the 2010s with their ONLY GOOD shows being Incredible Crew, Regular Show and Gumball. Now Nickelodeon on the other hand had great shows UNTIL the 2010s before they REALLY went downhill! Their LAST GOOD show was Sam & Cat.
Remember when AI was supposed to be handling minor tasks with sophistication and not be the overglorified autocorrect taking over entire professions it is currently? The ball was dropped so hard that it went to the other side of the planet. What a joke.
I really do hope that The Animation Guild gets the victory they truly deserve, because the medium of animation deserves to flourish for decades to come. Until then, keep on fighting, folks!
““If we reduce the number of employees for better short-term financial results, employee morale will decrease, and I sincerely doubt employees who fear that they may be laid off will be able to develop software titles that could impress people around the world” - Satoru Iwata
The fact the animators protested in the most wild way to send a message definitely got a few watching that's for sure, I think I have confidence the Animators Guild will be successful and these companies are going to do the right thing, afterall these corporations basically piggybacked off raw talent to obtain the raw power and fortune they acquired. To try and continue without talent and instead be replaced by Soulless Ai is a foolish idea and it seemed to have caused more damage than it's worth, look at how well Megamind and the Doom Syndicate turned out with most of it's work being done by Ai, a complete abysmal failure that failed both as a product and as a means of driving interest in a failing Streaming Service being Peacock. Either way the only products and services that are successful right now are the one's with actual effort put into it, with raw talent of animators, Special Effects artists, Actors and Actresses and Voice Work, Writers to boot, these companies are going to be crawling back to these talented people begging for their help, cause Ai ain't going to be the thing that saves them, it's going to ruin them.

This is a big stand on seeing the Cartoon Network building's history erased in an instance because of big executives. As it's awesome to see people showing how much they care through the power of animation to show what is happening.
No Way, They Can’t Do This, I Loved Cartoon Network During My Childhood, They’ve Already Destroyed The Studio, And The Website, They Can’t Destroy My Network, Because They Made My Favorite Shows, I Don’t Want This To Keep, I Want Cartoon Network To Stay
It sucks, but it was only a matter of time. Not only were their cartoons getting worse and worse, but with the rise of streaming and other visual media outlets(RU-vid) this end was inevitable. I never would've imagined that Adventure time, Regular Show, Gumball, and heck, even Steven Universe. Would end up being the last bastions of its existence, but I'm glad I got to enjoy them while they aired.
So many afternoons spent sitting in front of the television watching CN marathons after having played outside all day. Those'll forever be good memories in the back of my mind.
Ngl since in my country the shows come in like 10 years later, I was totally unaware of this. Like last month I got the last episodes of Craig of the reek
