This is a fun way to do glowy natural makeup, but it’s definitely not the reason celebs look the way they do. Having a team of people curating their image has way more impact, and even after all the treatments, lasers, botox, filler, lighting, and professionally done makeup they *still* use photoshop to fix the rest. We can’t expect ourselves to look like celebrities, because they don’t even look like that irl lol

I've definitely seen Lisa Eldridge do this (who is my favourite makeup artist btw) as part of her pinpoint concealing technique and it works brilliantly. I have rosacea and hate covering my red cheeks with foundation as i just dont feel like I look like myself, so find myself reaching for peach/orange blushes and using a tiny bit of concealer mixed with the blush if I do have any spots I want to cover. Then foundation around my chin, and done!

How: the best surgeons, dermatologists, aestheticians, nurticiets . It is their jobs to invest in their appearance ie spend all day in the gym, clinics and surgeons office. They are also part of the top good looking attractive people even "plain" actors who play the ugly character are still part of the upper percentile of attractive people. So they have an excellent base to begin with. Then they have the best makeup artists, best quality makeup and skincare maybe even personally formulated for them. Then they have a whole team to take their photos, take them on their "best" days, edit them. So please never compare yourself to them. Everyday people have stresses and lives which means we just simply will never look as "good" as them and that is ok.

Remember, you aren't just preventing aging by wearing SPF, you're preventing skin cancer! But yes, it really does help with aging too. My mom was big on SPF and doesn't have the wrinkles and age spots that most do at her age. She looks at least 10yrs younger. I've always worn SPF (my grandma had skin cancer) and now in my late 30's, I definitely don't look it, and without any botox or fillers. My favorite product is Dr Jart+ BB (Premium Beauty Balm) with SPF 40. It's a tinted moisturizer with a beautiful, glowy, natural finish. Don't forget to wear sunscreen on your body too, and to reapply after swimming, sweating, and/or every 2 hours.

It's so weird seeing a viral makeup routine so similar to what I've been doing for months now. I do have a few changes in my routine, like I usually don't go that heavy on blush but that glow on the cheeks does come from the cheek tint. The one I use is from the body shop, it looks so natural and gives the most healthy looking glow, i love it so much

I do this for my every day makeup (minus the bronzer). A GREAT combo for me is underpainting with the Rare Beauty liquid blushes (they are ridiculously pigmented) and then I do a tinted serum as foundation. I blend it all over mi faced except for the place where I put the blush. After finishing the face y go on with what's left on the brush and go over my blush tapping instead of swiping. The results are soo beautiful :D

I think it looks stunning on you. Great advice on using sunscreen daily as early as you can; sun damage causes collagen to break down and you also start losing 1% of collagen in your body including your skin every year in your thirties so the more you can reduce the early loss of collagen in your face, neck and décolleté the better. Never forget to apply your skincare and sunscreen products to all these areas including your ears and hands.

I think the effect would be better if you used a fluffier brush to apply blush and a bit lighter foundation, but overall you look great :) although i don't trust such videos. I remember a trend on instagram when a lot of different cosmetics were applied, then blending... and cutting video, at the end et voila beautiful, smooth make-up. I think my face would crack from so many layers and cosmetics. Personally i recommend nudestix and rare beauty powder highlighter applied with a sponge on top of powder. The effect of a natural-looking glowy skin :)

Use skincare thats right for your skin then it won't slip off!! If you have oily skin you don't wanna over-hydrate and be drenched in sticky moisture/spf before you start your makeup :) use lighter, gel moisturiser and korean sunscreen that will work wayyy better & you won't have to rely on lots of powder to stop oils that you put on your face!! :)

It does not look good, the spf you applied did leave a white u cast and you did not apply it in the eyebrow area properly. It only worked on you because you are pale and it still made you look greasy in that lighting. I cant imagine someone else being inclined to buy that after seeing it like this, i certainly wouldnt. And the makeup over it does not seem like it would last, a wear test is a must.

I agree, I think this is the beginning of an era where we're all going to have nice skin and start looking super young. Before it, people still looked young but they were into all the heavy matte liquid lipsticks that dried out the lips, and then the decades before that people would put heavy foundation on with no primer or anything. And before that, people used light makeup but they smoked and had unhealthy habits that destroy skin. We're finally an era where we all have the bets of both worlds. Even though I still prefer full coverage makeup, I admit the skin tints and soft liquid products are best for your skin.

Lisa Eldridge did a video a few years ago about eye makeup with glasses but I would love it if you could do one, I know you wear comtacts but an every day makeup look for glasses would be fantastic! I’m coming to Britain next week! Are there any drugstore brands that aren’t sold in the US? Products I should look for?

Hey Soph! You got me into the VERSED Dew Point Moisturizing Gel (which I LOVE) and recently I've been mixing that with my NARS skin tint (2part gel, 1 part tint) before applying it with a brush in areas where I need more coverage and OMG... idk what kind of witchcraft it is but it gives my skin such a nice COOLING sensation and makes the skin tint look amazing! Give it a go, it's been doing wonders for me in this summer heat! Cheers!

Because everyone’s skin is different also the secret with oily skin is not to use lotion before hand. What you did was how we did makeup until everyone decided it needed to be caked on …….
