Yes they will and they honestly do. They’ve watched the movie too. People like you are so weird always thinking the younger generation is incapable of experiencing things, just because you are old doesn’t mean you are more capable of experiencing emotions given by an anime movie. People in your generation will never know how essential common since is.
Old cartoons in general used to teach children moral.lessons to make them more caring and understanding people. These days they just wanna teach degeneracy.
Doesn't matter how good the newer seasons might be, the OG pokemon with misty and brock was the best, and the closest to my heart. The stories, humour, action, everything was perfect that made us fall in love with pokemon
Yeah I get the new one probably has cooler fight scenes and ribbons of light dancing around Pokémon etc. but the story telling and music of og Pokémon won’t ever be beat.
Just remembering: Ash saved Charizard when he was still a Charmander, abandoned by his trainer in the rain and was dying when Ash found him and took him to poke center. That Charmander was the only Ash’s initial (gen 1) to evolve and was really quick to become Charmeleon and then Charizard.
@@Bully7490 the thought I’ve always had on this was the fact he was not the original trainer. Therefore he levelled faster and would not obey Ash. Might seem absurd considering what goes on in the Anime but it’s the thought I’ve always taken from it and it’s one of the few things I found similar in the games and anime.
When charizard finally began obeying ash, I remember I was so happy as a kid, for I knew the coolest and the most ppwerful pokemon was now gonna be a member of ash's team.
For those that know. Let’s not forget the fight where the P-Won champion Poliwrath wearing the belt almost ice beamed Charizard to death. And then Ash stayed up all night to keep Charizard’s body warm and the flame lit on his tail despite Charizard’s disobedience. The next day, Charizard remembered that Ash actually truly cared for him and began to follow and trust his orders and they also won their rematch against that P-Won Poliwrath
@@cleanwalrusthe anime did not follow the game mechanics at this point. Ash would have had control of him by the Pokémon league if that was the case but he lost in Kanto simply because of Charizard
Ash put Charizard in a daycare, and charizatd reached lvl 100 just in time to save ash and fight entei. Ash's calculated moves make him a certified genius.
@@taxationistheft7 Yeah, the thing is, that dragonite is too soft and his wings are tiny. Salamence is pretty close just his wings look strange. Charizard has everything you expect a normal dragon to have.
@@SevGMD Since when do they look normal? Have you ever looked at them? They look like axe-heads. Next look at regular dragon wings. You know, those with fingers and skin in between.
Yess.. the third movie really cemented Charizard's legend because he went toe-to-toe with Entei, a legendary beast. Man I really wished that Charizard was used in rotation when Ash competed in Masters 8.
tbh, Charizard didn't really have a place in masters 8 both alains and leons Charizard were on a different level unless ash trained and got mega y Charizard to put him on par Charizard would have been weak and boring and the other two Charizard will outdo him(I think Charizard should have got mega y like why not?)
He didn't abandon it, he left it there because ash wanted charizard to train to get stronger. And bro I can tell you've obviously never watched pokemon because that's the moral of the story for the pokemon anime...
Duuude… that part when Ash left Charizard to stay in the Charcific valley to get stronger.. hit me hard and when he came in at the last second in the 3rd movie saving Ash and Pikachu…made me cry happy to see them together again 🥲 🔥🔥🔥👊😌🔥🔥🔥
Charizard and ash have a very unique bond. And I think charizard got big simply because he is humanly relatable to a lot of people in the fact that he had trust issues after being abandoned. And after ash stepped up for charizard more than once, charizard knew he needed that kind of person in his life and I think us as a human audience all kind of low key want that despite having trust issues. Charizard’s character was extremely well written.
Also remember, ash found charmander on a rock in the rain after being ordered to stay their by it’s old trainer before ash found it and saved its life so I think it’s rebelliousness is partly because of that but also because it’s getting to choose what it does for itself while it’s with ash and that ash only wants the best for it as seen by when he leaves charizard with all the other charizards so that it can get stronger and be happier
As I got older I started to love Charizard. He's the type of Pokemon who's respect and trust you have to earn. Then, he'll be loyal and protect youforever
Still brings the feels to me. Being a kid at the movies this was just......epic. and memorable. Shoot i remember my mom driving us to watch the Original Mewtwos revenge and even getting off the express way to see the theater lights come into view. All of it. All of it was my childhood.
@@elijahlurry1762 hell yeah bro beans. I still have the mew cards. When we were kids we put them in a card folder and just never took them out again.....those were the days man. 2.50 yugioh card booster packs and plays with 14 deck cards cause that's all we had.
@@jhsrt985 all of us who were at least 8 years old at least lol. Those were magical times bro beans, I remember going to the burger kind next to the thearter and getting the pokemon toys they had with the kids meals. I still have the jiggly puff gold card.....damn those really were the days.
that scene in the third movie will always stand out to me as a brilliant moment of payoff, of what it meant to be a pokemon fan. Seeing the movies be involved in the actual storylines of the series, and not just cheap one-off adventures that don't really have any bearing on the universe was really fucking special as a kid and REALLY helped sell the entire experience.
You have to remember Ash's charizard was so badass, when the first movie came out and mewtwo met him the first time, Charizard welcomed him like a badass
Damn man, the second he started speaking about these episodes just a ton of memories came flooding back to me. I 100% remember this and it making me feel so much even as a little adhd kid. Crazy how the creators were able to captivate so hard and have it be something that lasts like this
I went thru my older brothers dusty vhs tapes and ended up watching this movie alone in the garage on an old box tv. Still the best memory/Pkmn movie to date.
The best thing about ashs charzard that makes him his strongest pokemon of all time is that charizard never used any abilities or any new forms he fought every single tough battle with just his will power and determination to never give up,that's how he was able to defeat so many strong opponents.
This makes no sense. he used his flamethrower which is definitely a special ability. Plus he had to stay in the valley to get powerful, another special ability and new form, plus, he evolved, twice. Two new forms. The only Pokémon ash had that never evolved to a new form was pikachu.
@@willatwood tbh u r making no sense bruh, he was training in the charicific valley because he had to, if charizard didn't stay in the valley then he wouldn't be that strong as he is now, evolution doesn't provides any "ability" it's a part of pokemon's lifecycle to grow at its full potential. Further, "flamethrower" is not an ability, it's just a move of every fire pokemon Abilities like "blaze, overgrow" can b counted only... Ash's pikachu never evolved but still reached its full potential because his evolution depends on a special "stone" and not normal evolution chain while charmander doesn't evolve by any stone thus it had to evolve to become more stronger Infact charizard is the only pokemon which defeated legendaries and fought toe to toe without using any special ability unlike ash's greninja as it had "battle bond", sceptile had "overgrow", thus charizard is indeed ash's strongest pokemon after pikachu in its base form
Pokemon alone had some stories that made us feel the moment and forever stick with us from Charmander being found out in the rain before his flame went out When MewTwo turned Ash until stone after Ash tried to run the fade and Pikachu stood over him trying to shock him back to life and all the Pokemon started crying to unpetrify him The Magmar and Charizard fight when he ended with seismic toss (not an emotional moment but definitely one of the greatest Pokemon fights in history) And this moment for a few examples
Considering Ash in the show saved Charmander when his tail almost went out then he went with Ash and ends up evolving into Charazard and so in return he saves him many times! Also in the games on Gameboy Color Charazard was one that wouldn't listen to you when he got to a specific power level
This was because Ash did not have enough medals for the Charizards level, this happens in games but what is beautiful is the fact of Pokemon having feelings and not caring by these laws
@@kaosnow6788pretty sure he won like three of those Kanto badges legitimately, the rest were either given to him out of pity, or through other loopholes
I love charizard. From the moment he was a Charmander I loved him. He was and is to this day the only pokemon I always wished was real. He just touches my heart even when he was a little rebel i just love him
This doesn't mention how Charizard did already start obeying Ash before he was sent to Characific valley after his wings were frozen in a battle and Ash stayed up all night nursing Charizard back to full health. Still think Charizard has a boring design though.
If remember correctly, in Kanto Charizard pretty much followed Ash's orders. He was actually too good as a battler, (interesting enough he was the weakest in the valley when he first got there) which was what started Ash forming new teams each regions.
@@lostShadowLordcharizard only listened when he saw ash helping him. When he evolved to charmeleon he started to disobey then they became friends. When Pokémon don’t listen to their trainer, they think the trainer isn’t worthy of owning the said Pokémon
You actually missed an episode which was the turning point for Charizard. It was when Charizard was frozen by an ice beam and lost a battle, so ash worked all night to unfreeze Charizard and keep Charizard warm. That was the real turning point. The rest comes later.
@@TheBestWooper Only thing Alain has going for him is the mega he’s zesty asf same with Leon he only has gmax going for him, ash charizard has an illegal move
@@cav3sp1d3rgam1ng I'm talking about strength, Alain's charizard beat ash greninja, I know it had thunder punch but it wasn't stab, and Leon's charizard almost beat ash's Pikachu
GOD seeing this, seeing all these clips of old pokemon makes me so sad. I miss being a kid. And im so glad I can take all these memories and keep pokemon and all my childhood things with me. But damn does it make me sad to see that Pokemon just isn’t the same anymore. I guess that’s growing up.
That was not the first time Charizard did what Ash asked, I remember Charizard destroying the Fire gyms Magmar and winning the battle, and this was because Ash saved Cahrizard's life two times
What about the theory that charizard was basically a traded pokemon and wouldnt listen to ash because he didnt have enough badges just like in the game. I didnt factcheck it but it makes sense somehow.
I was there and I've watched the whole story... Pokémon will always have a special place in my heart... Specially Ash and the OGS. Pokémon and trainers..I'm happy for it
I'm so glad the next generation of kids grew up loving a cartoon and growing with the characters of the show. I shared the same experience with DragonBall.
