With all the Chick-Fil-A controversies, it's kinda ridiculous what people are fighting about. It's a follow the money situation, look at who's behind the smear campaigns and who's always slinging insults and attacks at a group just because they have their own personal opinions like giving employees freedom to have Sunday off, and what they choose to do with their own revenue, and not impose on others.
@KipReacts
@KipReacts 3 месяца назад
It's one of those situations where I've heard a lot of allegations but haven't seen the paper trail. I'm definitely going to be looking into it so I can be well-read on the subject and make an informed decision.
@michaelwalk3487

@@KipReacts I just looked into it. Seems it is mostly due to a 2012 press conference the at the time company President gave saying the company opposed Same-Sex marriage and ceased donating to organizations that supported same sex marriage, this decision was revearsed in 2019 by the looks of it but it seems (God I hate using the word "Woke" but I guess I have to use the stupid buzzword.) Woke groups still hold it against them. There are other reasons like them CFA being pretty open about their Christian roots and donating to organizations like the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Chirstian Athletes, both orgs have taken rather anti-LGBT stances. Thats what I found, classic lack of nuance Twitter fueled hatred for a company based on mostly culture war stuff...so to normal people who don't let sensationalism cloud their every waking moment just a bunch of typical internet brain rot stuff. Lastly I should say I do support LGBT rights, I just think some people resort to extremes too often for their beleifs these days instead of thinking with nuance. Also Kip you look nice today.
@pieshka4509

It's pretty much the Christian company had a president that's anti-gay marriage specifically and they refuse to drop it cause it's ok to bash Christians. Now the only thing they have is clinging to that and they support other Christian charities that shockingly hold similar religious values. It's the sole reason activists forced the first ever outside the US CFA opened in England to close days after opening 4ish years ago. But my mom's former manager is classic convertible bmw driving 50 year old queen of a gay man went with her one time because he couldn't go alone over the marriage thing, and he's been hooked ever since.

Chick-fil-A is awesome! You really should try their food! As for the supposed controversy last time I checked we have a first amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of the press in this country! You don’t have to agree with someone to enjoy good food! All these activists say Chick-fil-A is evil for their religious beliefs but those same activists say absolutely nothing about Walmart where almost every product is made in China where they use child and literal slave labor! The so called activists care more about what another person believes than they do about people being used as actual literal slaves to make the products they buy every day! And as far as the British Chick-fil-A closing I’m not surprised since we are talking about the same corrupt country that literally imprisons Christians for praying in public!

As someone who has started working for CFA in the last year, it’s the happiest I’ve been in years according to my best friend after working for another company for nearly 7 years. I chalk that up to the fact that CFA cares about their employees’ wellbeing, their starting pay for full time is really good (and the hours back this up), and I’m able to move around far more because they rotate what position you are in for each shift daily, meaning you’re not always on drive through order taking or front counter, you get a chance to work in every station and you don’t stagnate. And on top of that, the customers are very rarely ever rude because they know that CFA holds itself to a high standard and does everything it can to make that standard.
@crimsongogeta6810
@crimsongogeta6810 3 месяца назад
Fun fact as well: Originally Dwarf House was open 24/7 for a week with Mr Cathy and his brother each running one shift (12 hour day and 12 hour night) as they were the only employees at that time, but they gave that up after a week because of the difficulty of working for twelve hours and going home to sleep and not being able to spend time with family because of that, so after the first week they agreed to close on Sunday for the reason of being able to spend time with family, go to church, run errands for the home or the restaurant, and not get burnt out from working such insane hour as only two men to start.

I recently was driving to a job site in upstate NY (just part of the job is drving for different types of work) and at a service plaza, I fueled up, and grabbed breakfast at the Chick-fil-A there. Despite the fact it was 8 in the morning, the staff seemed in good spirits, and my food came out quickly. It was a breakfast wrap wogh grilled chicken, egg, cheese, and potatoes. It was so tasty.

Couple of things, as someone who worked at chick fil a for 3 years and they wanted me to be a grand opening trainer. Any things chick fil a personally donates to doesn’t usually go to the owners. The owners are their own people and it’s just the big corporation that donates and stuff. Second of all. The menu is fantastic because it’s simple. Sides (when I worked there) was waffle fries, chicken soup, parfait, fruit cup, and coleslaw, there is also salads but those are packed in house and super quick to sell out the door. Salads could have hot chicken on it but we would grab the cooked chicken and cut it. Another thing back then was we did a chicken salad sandwich and used the properly cooled chicken waste that sat too long under the warmer (30 minutes) and we would take the breading off and make a chicken salad sandwich from it. The kitchen was split into pantry and hot obviously. Pantry was salads, fruit cup, wraps, salads, and stuff like that, hot kitchen was just chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and strips

I've never had a bad experience or a bad meal from CFA. Only time I have an issue is when I'm REALLY hungry and the line in drive-thru is super long lol, there are two CFA locally for me and neither of them have ever done me dirty...unlike the local BKs which have gone so far down hill I'm more often than not likely to get something cooked in old grease. I prefer to go inside to make my orders unless it's basically a torrential downpour outside that forces me to use the drive-thru and even when both the drive-thru and inside are packed to the gills (something not uncommon in the south) CFA rarely if ever screws up even when they are in a hurry to keep the lines moving...biggest screw up I've ever had in the drive-thru is they gave me a wrong sauce than what I ordered and I'm not about to bitch and moan about my dipping sauce being different than what I ordered when they are packed to the gills and the service the other 999.99% of the time is impeccable.

My sister has worked for two different Chick-fil-As and she said the operator would show up at least weekly, hop in whenever he needed to, etc. Also, all of the Chick-fil-A I've lived near are always swamped. There is only about an hour or so out of the day that they actually catch up with the drive thru. And yet people will still sit and wait 30 minutes for their food, whereas at McDonald's I've seen people leave the line after 30 seconds of waiting and seeing the line not move.

The "buying a gunstore" vs. McDonald's analogy misses the part where I tell you that you have to buy all of your ammo only from me can only use equipment from my certified vendors, and can only get service done to that equipment from certified companies of my choosing. Chick-fil-A owns the thing, so this isn't really your problem so long as they're not burning the profit you're sharing. Owning the supply chain effectively makes the franchisee the customer.

When I worked in IT during the pandemic, we had a boss that got peomoted to said position from our function. The entire management team made sure to do a round of every single team and every single room in the building every day to make sure everyone is OK and to make sure there were no issues. It was a safe, chill and happy environment that I was happy to work at, and every day at 3pm my boss would walk into the room and just ask "how's everything here?" And we'd inform him of changes and such and if we reported an issue, it would usually be fixed THAT SAME DAY (so before 5pm)! So yes, this approach of the boss being visible and having a visible ladder did WONDERS for morale and atmosphere! It is THE best job I've ever had and it has set the standard for my selfrespect as an employee and for what I will accept from leadership moving forward!

This is a random part of the video to latch onto, but I hate that McDonalds needs different buns, burger sizes, etc. You're a fast food restaurant, quick, cheap, and consistent product is what made that entire part of the restaurant industry become so big to begin with. Have one type of bun and focus on your core products, those being burgers, fries and chicken nuggets. 86 the random fish and chicken sandwiches and for the love of god... STOP THE CONSTANT PROMOS. McDonalds kind of touches on a core issue I have with almost every game or movie to come out of the US and even those that make it over from Europe in recent years. They try to hard to have a bit of something for everyone, and in doing so they forget to actually make their product for a target audience.

Protesters at the first location in the state were saying CFA hates LGBT people, citing that they donated to Salvation Army and how SA goes about thier business in relation to LGBT people (Ive never found confirmation of the claims, but that isn't germane). CFA said (abridge version) "Our donation relationship with SA is because we are a Christian-values company we wanted to donate to a Christian-values charity. We are happy to have this branch donate to a different Christian charity the community recommends." Well, the protesters didnt think that it was enough for CFA to be LGBT neutral. They demanded CFA dontate to a pro-LGBT organization. This was a no-go for CFA (being a pro-Christian values company). Since it was clear meeting the protesters half-way, in good faith, was pointless, they decided that they would not be changing their donational relationship with Salvation Army since it would be added paperworks/cost/effort to change to another organization to please a group that was never going to support them anyway. Conservatives loved that they wouldnt abandon thier principles and went out of thier way to support them. Moderates like me respected the good faith effort they put into accommodating the community they were moving into and we gave them a shot. The only people not happy are those who were unwilling to have anything but absolute compliance... and some of them I *know* occasionally eat there (Ive seen them in there and the wrappers in thier car bins).

I recently tried Chick-Fil-A fir the first time relatively recently. Service was great, people friendly enough, but I wasn't really impressed with the food. It was filling and inoffensive, but kinda mid. Same deal with Five Guys, though theirs is more quantity.

WalMart and other businesses have failed (Ben & Jerry's I'm looking at you). Making money is not success, its the 'way' they're making money. A business can be considered good but when people hear its practicing child labor or treating employees like garbage, I cannot see that as a success. Chick Fil A and the kids of the Founder handling the business, the fact they're doing this well shows they know what good business practice is and what good employee treatment is, THAT is a successful business because EVERYONE is happy from Top to Bottom to Customers.

I have never actually had Chick-Fil-A, and for whatever reason I really like the McD's "basic bitch, not-real-food, probably-sawdust" McChicken, but only after putting it in the fridge and eating it cold the next morning.

I’ve eaten at In-In-Out (Can’t remember how to spell it) A couple of times and I don’t think it’s AS good as people say. I think the main reason people say it’s so good is because it’s hard to find outside of like 4-6 states. For reference I live in South Carolina and we have this restaurant called Rush’s and it’s also only found in like 4-6 states, I don’t find it to be amazing and just like In-In-Out I think it’s just hyped up because it a more exclusive chain. Anyway this concludes my small rant, have a nice Day!
@TheSonicdude98
@TheSonicdude98 3 месяца назад
For a long time I also thought In-n-Out wasn't very good. There's other fast food places that do everything better, especially the fries. Man I hate In-n-Out fries. Anyway, I recently changed my tune after actually looking at and accounting for the price. It's actually a lot cheaper for what you get compared to a lot of other places, including McDonalds and such. There's still definitely places that have better food, but you're paying a LOT more for it compared to In-n-Out, at least in my experience.

@TheSonicdude98
@TheSonicdude98 3 месяца назад
@@santiagoperez3024 I wouldn't say that. The only burger I've had that's better is Five Guys, which is WAY more expensive. Every other burger is either as good or worse than In-n-Out, and most of them are also more expensive. The fries, on the other hand, are garbage, barely worth the price. But again, that's all my opinion.

Wow... This video released on the same day I bought a McChicken from McDonald's and it was so hot that when I bit into it, expecting a normal heat for a burger off the grill, the inside of my mouth was literally burnt. Like legit skin peeling off a portion of my mouth. Hell, I can still feel the smooth part on the roof of my mouth, right above my upper teeth, where my skin is still healing from that burn. Edit: And yes the green stuff is supposed to be lettuce, but it's more like a slop that doesn't have the texture or taste of lettuce. Hell, everytime I've had the "lettuce" I always felt sick later that day.

You know I just realized a good counter point. Chic-fil-a basically only offers 1 seasoning type, it's signature seasoning blend, while delicious it's basically a 'vanilla fried chicken' spice blend. I like Chic-fil-a a lot but what I really like are BUFFALO chicken sandwhiches. So I have absolutely gone to McDonald's before over Chic-fil-a. I've never understood why they don't go for more seasonings. If you want garlic-parm wings you basically need to make 'em or order from a Pizza-place. BBQ, Nashville hot, Ranch, Honey BBQ, Sweet and Spicey, even if they don't put it on the chicken in the sandwhiches having those be flavor options for the tenders and nuggets would be awesome. Also why tf do they only have waffle fries? I get that they're a chicken place and I like fries but waffle cut are just objectively a low-tier french fry and when you're choosing a side, you want something good to pair with your sandwhich/tenders/nuggets. Crispy straight/crinkle cuts and steak fries are baller french fries even if you don't season 'em like checkers does or load them with cheese and bacon or chilli and onions. And don't get me started on curly fries, WHY TF IS ARBY'S ONE OF THE FEW DRIVE-THRUS THAT SELL THESE!? It's a damn crime.

the mcdonalds thing doesn't work on me because I'm autistic lol and I don't like to deviate from what I like, I will always get a cheeseburger plain, or double cheese burger plain, with 6 chicken nuggies (ten if I'm really hungry that day), and a smoothie because they're the only good place to get a smoothie in my area. I may or may not get fries if I have a friend to share them with but by default I don't get them because I never finish them, so legitimately i don't deviate from those combinations. That said I am sadge that my order is on average $15 even just for a cheeseburger, nuggies and a smoothie.

The McRib is weird for me. McDonalds really nailed the hype train for it, because I'll get one when it's available to remind myself that it's just meh, realize it's still just meh, and then give a nod to their marketing team. Don't @ me, I'm not saying the McRib is any more meh than the rest of the McD's lineup. But the hype is real.
