They still need at least 65 watt charging on the next pixel pro this hour and half fully charge stuff is crazy this day in age and the phone heats up too much
While I agree with everything stated here, things like Call Screening, text-to-speech, software features that are unique to a Pixel, should not be overlooked. These are things I use day to day more than having a day to day appreciation for the build quality since majority of people will be putting their phone in a case.
I really want a pixel, sadly it isnt available in my country locally. Im worried about the after service incase it needs to be repaired if i buy an import model. I guess the A54 is the more practical choice for me
Performance is massive, not just for gaming. When we bought an A51 back in 2020, it felt quite fast. But it took only one or two Android updates for it to massively slow down, until it was nearly unusable when it died a month ago. Meanwhile talk to any flagship owner from 2020 or a couple years before and their phones are still perfectly fast. Replaced it with a Pixel 7.
Exactly the same happened to me, I just can't stand the extremely slow boot up, poor performance and the excessive amount of bloatware, the pixel experience is just miles ahead
@@herman8894 Yeah...MKBHD and the others can talk all they please about cheap phones getting good, but unless it has a flagship chip it's a no go for me.
@@calebchristensenviolin it's not even about having a flagship chip, take the nothing phone 1 as an example, it has a chip with similar raw performance to the one found in a53 yet a53 takes over 3 minutes the boot while the nothing phone takes 15 seconds, it's all about the software optimization and Samsung is terrible at it for their midrangers
The only reason why I don't use Google pexels is because it doesn't have after sale support like at all If something happens to your phone you have to send somewhere and it will come back after 10 days
@@patrickokelley8949 if you use it whole day or play games this is normal if you just surfing on internet and still heat up then this issue is from someone trying to get access from your phone
The plastic back doesn't matter when it has a much sturdier aluminum frame. Structural rigidity is so much more important than a glass back that will shatter the moment it's dropped.
Wired charging takes 2 hours and Wireless takes up to 4 Hrs on the Pixel 7a. Samsung A54 has a better display plus longer battery life than Pixel 7a. Pixel 7a greatest strength is also it's greatest weaknesses, Tensor G2.
Pixel 7a is the better buy. You get more useful features, a more premium software experience, a much better camera and more. After one major software update on the A54, it'll start lagging bad.
at least in most european countries you can buy a pixel 7 for 550€ compared to the 7a for 500€ on mediamarkt and amazon and it offers more i probably wouldnt get the "budget" version because you wont be wasting any money buying the 7 i wouldnt get the 6a/6 because its had countless problems for different people its kinda a gamble buying it, so if you're really on a budget id get a oneplus nord, it doesnt have a great camera but it has a wide variety of camera features but performance is completely fine and battery is amazing and its pretty cheap
Samsung's software is still so god awful that I'd never consider one again. Used one back in the touchwiz days and hated it, got an A53 a while back and returned it after a couple of days, software hadn't improved much outside of visuals.
@@argorath those two are stockish android so they will have an advantage but I’m sure if you go test a s23 ultra or even a regular s23 you will see what I mean it doesn’t even feel like it has bloatware
@@argorathas an owner of a Nothing Phone I can confirm that Nothing OS is frikkin slick. Although I'm worried 2.0 will be more deviated from stock android
google is just like apple, it uses flagship chip on the midrange iPhone like the iPhone se 3, also the ipads. While here samsung using their bad chip processors on their new midranges device.
Good plastic is much better than metal. We're all being lied to. Performance is irrelevant to most people, if you want to game you should look at cooling more than performance. You have a point with the camera. You forgot to talk about literally everything else.
It's a reasons to pick the 7a video, going over it's advantages. Processor much better on 7a, gpu even bigger difference again. From games, to the freedom to not have to think or restrict multitasking, to being future proof for the 3 full Android versions (4 on Samsung so even more important), performance is very important. 7a has more ram compared to the basic model a54. Same as above for why it's a good thing. 7a has better cameras all around, in some areas by a big margin. If you are a fan of plastic, the glass back on a54 isn't a positive. 7a has some very useful ai powered features. Wireless is still useful even at a lower charging rate. And in a few years if the charging port goes, you don't have to rush to fix or get a new phone you can take your time as the 7a can still charge. Pixel phones support custom roms a lot better by default. Metal might well show impact and damage a little more, but it's more durable than plastic in this usage. The metal will still be solid and perfect structurally long past the point where the plastic would be damaged to the point where it can fail. Screen difference is negligible with colours and refresh rate. Brightness difference is more noticeable when manually adjusting but with adaptive on some testers have found the 7a to be brighter than the a54 in real world usage A54 does have slightly better battery life, expandable storage, and a slightly better screen.
@@wyterabitt2149 Depend on your needs. I need a good camera, you might need a good processor. I don't play android games, cause they're not games, they're slot machines disguised as games. But frankly I have come to the conclusion that none of these phones meet my personal needs so I ordered a google pixel 6 pro cause it was heavily discounted where I live and that's quite a good phone.
I wouldn't choose either because they both utilize those infamously garbage Exynos cellular modem. These modems can't hold on to wireless signals and are woefully lacking in carrier aggregation capabilities when compared to those made by Qualcomm.
Yeap pixels were better with snapdragon chips. Too bad they didn’t actually make their own chip like Samsung or apple does. They just used a custom exynos. If they even had snapdragon 8 gen 2 with a big battery I’m sure it would be better than the s23 ultra.
@@robmalcolm8042 The Tensor is custom designed by Google it's just manufactured by Samsung at their foundries. If Google managed to get TSMC to manufacture the Tensor chips they would be a whole load better.
@@Zirvoll214 Maybe it's just me, but I have a cable from my computer at home, at work, and beside my bed with the fast charger and I never have to take more than a second or two to plug in...and it cost a lot less. Do you have multiple charging stands?
Even the pixel 7a is quite a bit more expensive than the a54, but the nothing phone 2 costs $250 dollars more than the 7a. I wouldn't really say that they are in the same price range. And if the price isn't important than I would rather go up to a galaxy s23 or something.
I dont have the pixel 7a its not available in our country and i get every accessories for the a54 1 Galaxy buds 2 And charger More And the samsung galaxy a54 has a better display
My pixel 7 pro is the worst android I've ever owned. Yes great camera but glitchy, overheats, charges like molasses flows in winter, horrible modem, needs rebooted at least daily. I could go on and on but no way in H E double hockey sticks I'll ever own another Google phone!
Yall: "pixel overheats blah blah blah" Also y'all: "wireless charging is great!" Me over in my dark part of the webs: "You DO know that the wireless charging is LESS than 10w right?!" Also me again: "AND IT HEATS UP THE PHONE AS WELL!!!" SMDH 🤔🙄🤦🏿
Replacing my new pixel for a Samsung phone pixel phones are trash always having connection loss and sim issues and screen freezing I recommend stay away from any google phone. Zero support from warranty service or help also..
If you guy's want Pixel 6a it's not for gaming it is heating up even the AI already adjust itself it's still heats up I would recommend buy Nothing phone 1 but the advantage of Pixel is camera but still nothing phone 1 almost same camera as iphone 13
I am using Samsung a54 5g it is not the best phone for that price range because it is very laggy as fuck. Even my redmi Note 10 pro is not laggy like samsung A54 5g.
Samsung ab na charger deti hai, na Back cover, na aacha features, itna Over price hone ke baad bhi Plastic frame deti hai, bahut galat baat hai. Samsung se ab mera trust tut raha hai. Wahi dusri company kam rate mai aacha aacha features deti hai, jaise hamara Indian Brand "Lava agni 2 5g" 20k me bahut kuch de diya hai jo unbelievable hai. Jo aur koi company nhi de sakti. Well done Lava.
