The materials in the contour are amazing. It think in terms of features the M1 should get a higher score, if you go on the dango website, there are so many components and several was to customize the Maverick. Personally I think the M1 is better only because of the add ons. Having several different types of wallets/uses within one frame.

I chose the Dango M1 rail wallet with money clip as I can fold bills in half instead of thirds or quarters. The card capacity is more than I thought I needed including some cards (membership rewards) that I don't need to carry as they are saved in my Google Pay app. Also, it all looks great in BLACK! That being said, I bought the M1 at 50% off with Dango's coupon code that helped motivate me to buy it 🤑
I’ve owned the M1 Rail for several years and I love it. I’ve attached the money clip, but use it rarely for bills (who carries money anymore). I use the wallet also for displaying my ID at work while wearing it around my neck. I also find even outside work I wear it around my neck.
Thanks for the video. I've owned the Trayvax Contour for several years and love it. Don't think I'll ever need to purchase another, it's well built. But can't deny the Dango does look sweet and tempting.
From the perspective of overseas buyers neither of these companies does well. Dango M1 - There is a 50% off code which is great, HOWEVER their shipping price to Australia is ridiculous. $US54 for the wallet and $US54.96 for shipping. FYI - I regularly receive items from the US with postage under $15 and for items around this size and cost it is usually free. Trayvax - They do free international shipping for orders over $US59 which is great (see above). However they don't even have Australia in their list of shipping countries. Keep in mind, they do ship all over the world, even to countries such as Samoa, Burkina Faso, and Nepal (some I picked randomly from their drop-down). Their shipping drop down seems to have less than 50% of countries and no idea why.
They are designed to be front pocket wallets. The Trayvax Contour description reads “Our most sophisticated CNC-machined front pocket wallet to date.” And the media on the Dango M1 site shows the wallet being placed in a front pocket.

You definitely are very knowledgable and dedicated to wallets. Thanks for giving us all these reviews and making our purchase process easier and fun Also I really wish you would make more reviews like comparing the aviator slide wallet with other wallets or carrying it I guess because there are literally only two reviews on all of youtube (I had to watch yours and Chrispy's twice to satisfy my obsession) and I think its a super cool wallet and definitely comparable to a lot of things and worth the purchase. walletopia Hello, I would like to see the aviator compared to one or more of these (but you dont have to do any if you dont want to obviously) 1. ridge wallet 2. trayvax wallet 3. ekster (whichever one) 4. dango (whichever one) 5. whatever other wallet you think is similar somehow I mainly want to see it compared to the ridge, trayvax, and ekster because the ridge and trayvax they seem kind of hard to take the cards out of and also the dango it looks kinda hard to take the cards out in your video compared to the slide and fan aviator wallet. Also there is a lot more card capacity in the aviator and you can put cash in the double coin tray for concealed carry. I just really like the aviator and i feel like theres not enough coverage on youtube considering how its very functional in my opinion. But also it has flaws such as the cash strap being EXTREMELY hard to lift up for me (my nails are very soft) and even hard to lift up with cash. but you dont have to do a comparison if you dont want to and thanks for the reply
Love my dango rail wallet got it for 80 no complaints haggled with dango about govx have it for 80 and they beat govx on free shipping on orders over 49 dollars
Not sure I would say the Contour is bulky. It has a tiny credit card sized footprint. It is thicker than say, the Stow or Trove wallets, but it's pretty minimalist as far as I'm concerned... The dango is bulky and clunky. Trayvax is a much better wallet, IMHO. I used the rail wallet for 1 day, and in my closet it has sat since. I like what Trayvax does in theory, but honestly, the Contour is the only product they sell that I like. I'll go a step further and say the Contour is the wallet of the decade. They really hit a home run here.
My bulky comment came due to the depth of the wallet, the Rail is thinner. HOWEVER, the Rail is much wider so overall, so like a deck of cards, the Contour feels better in your hands.
@@walletopia Agree, I didn't like the bulky Dango in my pocket, so it was out of my pocket after just 1 day. The Contour is a little thick, due to the Melonite plate, the titanium CNC machines piece, and then the thick leather, but it's not that thick... Mine is .7 inches thick when loaded with 7 cards, and 4 bills folded in thirds. Actually, the Dango T02 and T01 are better wallets than this rail wallet, in my opinion anyways... Much smaller footprint.
how do these metal wallets do when it is cold outside; and when I mean cold, I mean below 10*F If one were in Alaska, how do these wallets work with gloves on? Granted, I know not a lot of ppl in Alaska, or other cold state, but there are still ppl who need wallets...so, are these all-wx wallets, or just fair-wx wallets?
I’ve been leaning towards the Trayvax Contour, I like the looks and size. I currently have an Ascent and I should’ve gotten the Contour. I will say the Ascent is a great wallet.

Yes, they pulled their wallets off of Amazon about a year ago. Thanks for the comment, I figured if a shoe shine channel can have over 200k subscribers, a wallet channel can d do the same. We carry them everyday, but don't think much about them. Once we think about them, they do become interesting :)
I'm here to check out the M1 Rail, but wanted to ask if you or anyone had any recommendations for open ID wallets like the M1? I'm looking for something I can wear as lanyard w/ ID, but pop it into my pocket at the end of the day.

I just use an old leather bifold with an indian head tooled into it...well used to be before I wore it out. I've been gluing this thing back together for years. I'd like to replace it but I can't find another with the built in change purse on the right and the card slot on the left...a card slot with a hole cut into it. It's perfect for pushing them out with your thumb so you can dig through them easier. It's the perfect wallet design and it's at least 60 years old. I don't get what's become of this world where you can't just get a good wallet anymore. A wallet that's JUST a wallet, and nothing more.
