I know my audio wasn't the best on this one, recorded a lot of it before figuring my mic out :)

The crafting community is super supportive, I too was really excited to hear their advice :) I have another video with some people I interviewed at Gencon who also had some amazing advice and great painting and crafting tips :)

I agree I love going to video game cons ... I have built so many great friendships and trust me with 2000+video games in my collection I often walk out of the place with no games but tons of great memories.

I used to love Origins. We also have Marcon in Columbus earlier in the year. Well... we will again, I hope.

oh wow totally jealous. New Zealand is so small we have nothing like this other than Amageddon which is a general nerd expo. but d&D and rpg gaming is just a very small spit of it rest is full of popular pop dolls or figures that are from anime. which I really don't get at all. but sometimes we get good movie and tv sy-fi stars. I usually cosplay characters from vikings, tim burton's films and d&d type characters. but there is nothing for crafters infact there aren't even any cosplay making supplies

Sorry to hear that Debbie :/ The tv/sy-fi cons sound fun! And Tim Burton characters eh? His work has a special place in my heart :) I actually found a small con here in my home town that was a lot of fun, nothing crazy like gencon or origins, but you might be able to find some hidden gems here and there :)

Dylan, do you have any information or tips for water effects. I have a 40k display board I’m working on for Adepticon, and have had some real struggles getting magic water, or woodland scenic water effects to work well without cracking or bubbles.

Sure thing Brandon, I have had some issues with larger pieces using woodland scenics as well. One thing I tried was using a high gloss varnish medium (many many coats) but your best bet is to get some clear two part resin which can create some really amazing and realistic water effects. Bug thing though is it is VERY fluid so you need to make sure it can't escape out of any cracks.
