I know everyone hates Dak. I'm no Cowboys fan, but the dude just finished second in an MVP voting. He did it with one great reciever and a good TE, a mediocre line and a bad running game. Hes one of the best QBs in the NFL. If they want to win a SB, they need more than Dak or any QB, they need an ownership group that wants to win a SB, not make all the money. That team has a horrible interior Dline, no linebackers, no running backs, questionable recievers outside of CD. On top of that they have a very unimaginative offense completely reliant on him. All that being said, Dak brought this all on him self by sucking in that playoff game. As they said the odds of a guy whos thrown 500 passes since HS being anywhere near as good as an mvp quality QB are next to none. Dak is going to get his 40 or 50m with Dallas or someone else. I dont agree that he stays with Dallas, because of the side benefits, hes going to be worth 500million by the time hes done with football, why is he worried about being an announcer? It just depends who wants him, if the right coach and organization wants him, he would leave.
@TheFlutecart
@TheFlutecart 2 месяца назад
The Super Bowl or Suck mentality will shuffle too often to get anywhere. Dak's winning Division titles and takes Cowboys into the playoffs quite often. We need more playmakers than just Dak. Some are getting ripe for a great year. Like CeeDee, Diggs, Ferguson. No run game this year, like last year, without swapping Trey Lance for one. Then the fans blame it on Dak.

I think the problem with Trey is simply inexperience. He entered the league after starting one season - well, I think and one extra game? If you watch his Pro Days (PDs) - he actually had two - he has an arm on him. The problem is, when he’s in a game he has a tendency to throw very late. It forces him to try to absolutely jam a ball in because the throwing window shrinks and his ball is wobbly and off-target. If he got some reps and started throw on-time I think you’d start to see elements of how he threw on his PDs maybe. It’s pretty unclear if he’ll get the chance though.

I don't know why you'd sign a guy with 1 full season of play after High School... all that Lance has. He's a combine/superman .. looks impressive in workouts = Who cares? What teams need is a working QB.. not a developmental guy. Cooper Rush, Dak Prescott, and Brock Purdy = all 4 year starters in college .. Why they stepped in easily when called upon. Lance with 1 yr of NCAA/starting isn't near their experience level = a wasted trade.

Here's a wild, but real take from a 49ers fan....Trey changed his mechanics in one off season. He knew he had to because the release time was too slow. In ONE off-season working with that guy in Texas, he got much better. He needs to play in games, but I believe the way you keep your stars on the team is if the QB doesn't kill the salary cap. Yeah, they made a mistake. Good organizations move on from their mistakes. Poor organizations adopt the good organizations' mistakes. The Cowboys draft excellent players, but they are a poorly run organization. I don't care about how many regular season games they have one. They don't win the regular season games versus the team that matter. And the playoffs have been a disaster.

Anyone who's thinking Lance is going to replace Dak is insane. Jerry screwed this thing up again, and nobody is admitting it. Dak signed a 4 year contract for 160 mil, and is going into year 4 with a 110 mil cap hit still hanging. That means over the last 3 years, Jerry only took a 50 mil hit to the cap. Last year, they had no running game, and for this coming season, they not only got rid of a now healthy looking Pollard but are bringing back Elliot. WTH would they do that? Jerry has butchered the cap so badly that they won't be right until 26. Jerry has been selling this kool-aid to people for going on 30 years and has made billions. Keep supporting him if you like.

Diehard 49ers Faithful fan here l. Dak Prescott should leave the Cowboys. These are the teams that are keeping any 👀 over this shit. Seahawks, Saints, Giants, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets. None of those current QB's have a guaranteed long term future with their current teams. All of those teams would be much better with Dak. Dak Prescott would make the Dolphins a real Superbowl contender. Dak Prescott would probably win an MVP with the Dolphins. I can see him going to any of those teams though. Oh The Raiders too. That would be a great place for Dak.

Not a big Chris Simms fans since he blew that Big 12 championship game for Texas but one thing Simms does know is quarterbacking. I think he has been nice. Don’t think Lance is an NFL quarterback. Not just the throwing motion but he cannot read defenses. Plus he is not a runner like Lamar Jackson. Lance should have transferred in college to a pass happy offense. Lance may play in the UFL or the Canadian football league.

I don’t put all of it on him at all but when you make what he does then he has to perform better. The interceptions against the Packers were inexcusable. Coaching and offensive plan could certainly improve but passes like the ones I’m referring to are his to own. BTW, he does own it and is a true pro. I hope it all improves for him. Chris Simms is talking like Kyle Shanahan knows what he’s doing at QB. Which is ridiculous because he’s made the wrong decisions way more often than not. Passed on drafting Mahomes twice. Passed on signing Tom Brady twice. Didn’t trade for Matt Stafford, but they did trade for Jimmy G. Gave Jimmy G a big contract only to trade 3 first round picks to replace him, except they went back to Jimmy G and benched the QB they traded 3 first round picks to draft. You can’t possibly look at their history at QB and think these people know what they’re doing and they have a plan. They’re clearly just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

Mahommes came up in the draft twice? First player in history I've heard about who was able to do that. He did pass on Brady once for sure. Jimmy G sucked and after giving him 5 years they knew enough to get rid of him. Lance they f'd up on but most every team has made some bad moves during their history. So as much as they missed the bus with Lance I would say they came out points ahead if you want to look at the value of getting their starting QB with the last pick in the 7th round, who has already been to the NFCCG in his first year starting and a SB his second. Now's a good time to reflect on that statement I made about team's making bad moves during their history because 31 team's passed on Purdy through 7 rounds.

Could he land into a Bucs like situation (Baker Mayfield) or Steelers (Russell Wilson but that is complicated by the presence of Fields)? He shouldn't sign a back up deal with the Cowboys. He needs to go someplace with a decent team that will allow him to start (of course those situations are few and far between and he hasn't demonstrated anything to make a team trust him as even a Tier 3 or 4 starter).
