Good content, but required more in detail explaination like how it fails, how steel qty reduces, how strength increases while reducing steel bars, etc like realistic pictures so on. Hope my comment will be adhered.tq
Thanks 🙏 For ur lecturer I would like to know what’s the quantity of steel from all the steel bars need to be crank ? All the main bar should be crank or there’s persantage ?
Since a two way slab bends in both the directions so we will experience negative bending moment or simply hogging moment on all the four ends of the two way slab that's why we need to provide cranked bars at all the four sides of a two way slab... Hope i cleared your query... Regards! #civiltutor
Sir, in certain work sites bar benders are providing extra bars at bottom (central portion ) and over supports for a length of L/ 4 of the span. Is it will function as bend up bars?
Contents ok but nature of support whether column or wall are not discussed whether support is simply supported or fixed or contineous support or hinged or roller also the effect of point load or udl above the support. The points written on boards are not readable. Nwadays crank bars are hardly used in practice therefore example of cut bars and extra top bars should be included.
