The one exception to the knit plushie rule (imho) is the balloon animals. It’s so much easier to knit in the round to make the “balloons” than to crochet.

I learned both how to knit and crochet, imo knitting isn't that more difficult, but it definitely feels more limited than crocheting, the amigurumi plushies, being a prime example, but the biggest problem i have with knitting is that all the stitches are shoved onto one needle, and you can't properly see or measure the width of your thing without risking having the stitches fall off, this is for me (someone who enjoys and loves making their own clothes) the biggest issue, how am i supposed to know what amount of stitches goes into a knit sweater, whereas with crochet i just make chains and then i meassure it against my body. besides that the curling is the worst, like just stawp on the other hand i do like the texture of knitting more than of crochet, but thats just a preference lol

yea making a swatch to calculate how many stitches to cast on is so annoying. I thought crochet had math but knitting is even more intense math T_T

Crochet is also easier if you have any kind of disability affecting your hands strength, I can knit but my tension isn't consistent and I keep dropping the needles as well as the work on it, crochet is much more forgiving even if you accidentally drop it you'll only lose a few stitches at most.

I can do both. I learned Knitting first and then tried Crochet. Im into both only for few months so far. So i can say this: Knitting is great for hats, scarfs and socks its so easy to do and it looks great, but fixing mistakes is much harder. But i love Crotchet for making plushes and easier learning curve, you can make practicly anything with it. One detail that you forgot to mention or didnt know about. Knitting can use up to 5 needles. When im closing up for hats or working on smaller socks, i need to switch for 5 needles. I hate that so much 😂😭 But i still like more how basic stitches look like while knitting. Replicating it with the hook looks so hard, but maybe i will get there eventually. Other than that i agree 100% with this video.

@@emmable-ds3xw i still have the original packaging, after every use i put them back. But I have friend who tie them with a rubber band or stick them into unuse yarn. So I guess knitting is not for ppl who easily lose stuff 😂

i would have liked knitting if it was fast. But it takes forever to make a small bandana haha. So for now ive only crochetted. knitting is only good for sweaters or shirts because it uses less yarn and feels less chunky than crochet. But crochet adds more style to clothes
