And also after a disappointing loan (For many reason) at Ranger, he SMASHED it at Sunderland the year before last while we watched Antony absolutely flop for 80 million. People that have seen lots of him know hes got the toolkit to help the team.
I was a big fan of Amad since I saw him hit play for the U23s and that superb header vs Milan. It took him a while and it shows that talent sometimes needs development and nurturing, he's pretty much our best Winger winger (not a wide forward) his link up play is great, his shooting is great, he's constantly a threat, he doesn't shy away from getting stuck in with Defencive duties. If he was English he would have had a 70 million price tag on him
Amad was ready 3yrs ago. Has this club become immune to technical footballers? Since his debut I could recognise that Amad has something. I’m not saying he’s world class or anything along those lines but give the players who have continually played and played poorly, Amad has deserved a chance based on that alone. However I saw his ability 3yrs ago, he scored that amazing back header vs AC Milan and he had a quality end of season game away to Wolves at the end of the Covid season. How it’s taken this long for the club to finally realise that we have a quality player on our books is ridiculous. If he was in La Liga or Seria A we’d be screaming for this player.
His defensive work rate has let him down. Say what you want about EtH but he's not stupid. The idea that the solution to all EtHs problems are sitting unused on the bench is laughable 😂😂😂
@@hansj5846 You’ve gone to the extreme for no apparent reason. I stated clearly in my initial comment, “I’m not saying he’s world class or anything along those lines but given the players who have continually played and played poorly” ahead of him, Amad deserves a chance. You talk about defensive work rate, did you watch Rashford last season? Attacking wise, he looks light years ahead of Antony and has probably looked more dangerous than Sancho has ever been. For all his directness, Garnacho lacks end product. That’s his competition and he got the equivalent of 5 games last year after returning from injury. That’s crazy!!
The problem now days with 17 year olds like Yamal starting week in week out is that we start thinking if a player isn’t starting week in week out by the time he’s 22 he’s got no hope. Amad clearly needed more time to develop physically but he’s shown he has the ability. If he takes the chance he could still be are starting RW for the next 5-10 years easily.
@@Number-tx9vy Only an idiot would compare the 2 playstyles to make your point. Amad cuts back into traffic which needs more strength and experience while Garna runs away from traffic which suits younger and explosive wingers.
What are you talking about Joseph 1:19 fuck social media it’s what he does on the pitch, he gives it his all. He gets his head up and then he can deliver a good cross for Hojlund or ZIRKZEE or he can cut in and score himself. He has got it all
Non Sense. Loaned out before then injured extremely long last season and ETH didn't want to rush him. ETH has a strong track record of developing youngsters when they are ready.
Ive wanted to see more of Amad since he arrived. He has great vision and his close control is next level. He can be an important player to unpick the low blocks many teams use to frustrate us. One of the most exciting players for me.
Jay saying the front three of rashford, hojlund, and garnacho works doesn’t track with reality. Unless he’s banking on them all getting better this season, I think stylistically those 3 don’t have a synergistic effect on each other. You need a Sancho/diallo type winger on one side to balance out the head down rashford/garnacho style. Otherwise, hojlund will be in the same exact situation as he was last season, no service.
Yeah agreed Zirkzee with Rashford and Garnacho would work well and then Sancho Hojlund Amad as back up also is very balanced 2 creators for Hojlund to run in behind. Amad could even bench Rashford and work with Garna and Zirkzee, kinda reminds me of Saka, can be direct, shoot or create!
Yes lads! Amad is different on the ball, silky, he needs a good run of games and with a bit of luck hopefully this will be his real breakthrough year! And he made the scoussers cry so already a club legend in my eyes. Best moment of the ten hag era! ❤ GGMU
I find it kinda funny I find it kind of sad That day we beat the scousers Was the best I'd ever had I don't mind to tell you Klopp found it hard to take Garnacho running rings around them But it was .... Amad's world
@@purplebutterfly314 was he fuck 😂 Antony still had a starting spot for far too long last season and even then, first player off the bench over the likes of Amad. ETH has managed this situation woefully, it’s okay to admit that
Antony's defensive benefit isn't how he tracks back it's how well he presses. For Højlund's first premier league goal came because Antony pressed and won the ball back on the goal sign and forced that corner. There are more examples too. He's not good enough and Amad presses really well so it's a moot point but I think Antony's pressing is elite.
Diallo has to start. Unlike Antony, who is decent, will actually take on defenders & beat them. If he doesn't score, he is able to put a decent cross in the box for someone. I believe his game has really developed over the last 2yrs. I hope he has one hell of a season. Great show gang!
I'm actually quite excited about the forward line now that we seem to be getting defence and midfield sorted. Amad, Rashford, Garnacho, Hojlund, Zirkzee as the main guys across the front 3 is pretty exciting given they could all cover at least 2 positions and there's enough variation across those players as well. Really hoping to see a lot more of Amad this year
Why are we acting like Antony and Sancho were starting last season on the right and not Garnacho? Amad has a LOT to do to take Garnacho's place. If Sancho stays, and I'll be shocked if he does, the odd time he's used it will be on the left, where he prefers, filling in for Rashford. Amad's job will be to take Garnacho's place. So far I've not seen enough to make me think he will, but happy to see that change.
He deserves a good run of games. His ability to keep the ball, and he has a good IQ/playmaking to his game too!! The Newcastle game last year he had an assist and goal in that game.
I think he’ll be important for us this year. We need competition and the ability to rotate, so having him as a good option alongside Rashford and Garnacho will be important.
With Amad we are getting a hybrid of Messi and Mata. He's easily the most technically gifted player we have maybe behind Bruno. The problem is we haven't trusted him enough to give him consistent playtime which is the key to getting the best of him. he needs consistent game time. Go back and watch him in the game aginst Arsenal. He's pure quality
Amad & Garnacho battling it out for the right like Marcus & Martial was doing amazing before Jose signed Sanchez that absolutely derailed what was looking amazingly promising.
About time!!! It was time when he came back from injury last season but for whatever reason eth barely gave him a chance, even after scoring the winner against the scouse. Stats in less than 500 mins don't say alot, seeing him on the ball and what he was trying to do said it all. He might not be all that but he's a ton more effective than our current RW options
Joes argument of Antony being able to track back but that doesn’t change the fact the output is poor is literally the same argument for McTominay but the other way around. It’s all good him scoring goals, but it’s no good when his fundamental job is to help keep them out and we’re getting bombarded with shots every game. How many times last season was the ball cut back to the edge of the box and McTominay wasn’t occupying that space? To bring him on last 10/15 to get a goal fair enough. But to be starting him at CDM in Prem games is something we should absolutely be avoiding from now on
He 100% should. Antony and Sancho have had so so many chances and not performed. Amad has been patient and taken his chance every time and looked twice the player of the other two. It's a no brainer.
It didn't "seem" like eth didn't rate him, eth simply didn't rate him until all options on the wings were injured, came in and balled. This was the same issue sancho had with eth. he had his favs regardless of performance. hopefully that changes
Id easily have Amad over both, shows the effort/desire and has some quality about him. Sancho may have the higher ceiling but doesnt do it in a UTD shirt
People do romanticise him too much, I want him to succeed but saying the rw spot is definitely his just because he has not played a lot of games doesn't make sense and it also shows a lack of respect for Garnacho. For me Garnacho and Amad should rotate on the rw, there is nothing wrong with having a little bit of competition and depth.
if you actually watch him you will understand why people feel the way they do about him. the man takes the opportunity he’s given every time he plays. that’s why people romanticize him, because he actually shows his quality.
Amad is more polished than Garnacho. If Amad got the chances nacho got he would have had 30 goals and assists. Don’t get me wrong I love nacho but Amad technically is levels ahead of him. Amad is one of the few players at United that has a football brain.
UTP !! I wish we had given him more first team minutes after his spell at Sunderland. He seemed to have great momentum behind him then, but he was benched for Antony.
"Time to shine." Please ban that phrase and all the rest of the football/sport cliches in circulation. Amad Diallo: was strikingly terrific when he came in at the back end of last season.
I don’t think anyone’s saying Amad IS the answer like has been said about players before, it’s a bit more realistic I think most people are simply saying he’s impressed he deserves more chances to impress and looks to have more likelihood of success when compared to Anthony and sancho who have basically shown nothing
the ability to go in and out is so scary as a winger defenders cant zone in too hard on his favorite side because with experience he will know how to exploit the space
Amad is not only a technical player bur also a workaholic plus the team spirit. Give him a chance.Actually football is not about the physical bit but also the technical bit. Take a look at Adnan Januzaj.
It's an easy subject. Let's think... Amad is clearly a focussed and dedicated young player. He has done and loan and shone. He offers so much more than Antony. But really who doesn't? We need 2 good players for each position if we really want to challenge the EPL in the future, and with Amad and Garnacho, we have the RW duo we need.
I would play Amad on the right and garnacho on the left personally but i think they will for e garnacho to the right to fit rashford and it will slow down our offensive production.
The real reason he won't get game time and will probably end up leaving is Rashford. We can't regress and bench Garnacho again after he established himself as a starter and was one of our best players last season and club politics nonsense means that Rashford will always start because he's "manc born and bred", he's "one of our own", he's a media darling and he's on 300k+ a week. He will always start regardless of how he's playing and that not only hurts Amad, but it also hurts Garnacho because he's better on the left and is forced to play on the right to accomodate Rashford.
No comparing like with like but Beckham has 21 when he first broke into the team. Sometimes players are that littlest older breaking into the 1st team. Remember Simon Davis getting game time ahead of Beckham.
Amad is a good player, he can definitely be useful in the squad. But if you want to be first choice, you've got big competition in Garnacho & possibly Sancho
I think Garnacho will start. However he will get more game time. ETH is always smart with developing youngsters. Now that he is not recovering from an injury and is more trained in the play style he will get more time.
Ten Hag himself when asked last season why Amad wasn't playing more games, he pointed out that other players in his position were better. Antony can't be better than Ahmad, never. Omari ( who) was even given preference over Amad
I think Amad on the right is better than garnacho and rash on the right, he looks very capable of creating and scoring, can go both ways, I think he is harder to deal with for a defender and has more chance creating chances for others on that side and has about as much chance of scoring himself as others
@@matthayes6207How is Garnacho better? He can’t hold the ball, he can’t keep the ball, he can’t cross. All pace and vibes. Garnacho is no where near good enough to start for United. Is it because he scored a one-off bicycle kick?
You guys are weird if you don’t see that Ahmad is our best RW At the club Every time he steps on the pitch he gives n contributes more to gameplay than Anthony The time we sent him on a loan And he came back a man He should have at least been given a better challenge and a chance
This is common sense but for some reason Ten Hag never really fancied him, hopefully he'll open his eyes and give a chance to literally the guy who saved his job. And that guy Joseph talking about Stats, Amad was injured never played for more than 6 months what Stats do you want? Give him 25 games then we'll talk about Stats.
He's absolutely next in line after Garnacho for the right sided attacker spot, whether he can step up to the starting spot depends on both his form when he gets the chance and Garnacho's form. This is a very premature vid, but I get it, it's preseason and we haven't had any real transfer news in a week or so. So churn baby churn.
Based on what I saw from amad towards the end of last season, his better than Garnacho. Garnacho is a good player but his decision is poor. Amad has good decision making to along with his obvious footballing brain
@@cashmontoks we didn't see anywhere near enough to come to that conclusion. And Garnacho is younger than Amad don't forget. Again, I don't care who starts, but Amad needs to start producing more than Garnacho before he takes his place. That's real production, goals and assists. The rest is just fluff when discussing forwards.
Amad has got the ability to run a game at no.10. Always in control of the ball , doesn't give it away like Bruno....has an eye for a pass and an eye for a goal.
Antony should be given another chance and he was going through a lot if his going to be given minutes i think he will play for us because dont forget how he was coming in all i am saying is what happened to him might have affected his game play i think also mentaly
IF AMAD WAS NOT FROM AFRICA HE COULD HAVE GET A LOT OF GAME TIME ,THE BOY IS JUST GOOD EVERYTIME GIVEN A CHANCE HE SHINE BUT MAN UNITED HAS FOOTBALL POLITICS LUCKILLY WE HAVE A MANAGEMENT THAT THINKS YOUNG
united would have signed Olise if Amad had no chance this season. And that would have been a waste if money cuz why spend 50m on Olise when you have Amad. I believe he will play well this season for us.
I agree Amad should have already been playing however Ten left him out to play his buy Athony and his pet Rashford he is moving Vidtek on because he is better than Onana Pellestri another excellent player he is selling
