I disagree. Once you repent and accept Christ then you are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Look at it like this no man can see the face of God without dying because of how holy and righteous God truly is. The holy of holies was a forbidden place outside of the top priest one time a year and he had to completely purify himself through religious ritual before he was clean enough to go in to the holy of holies. If now Believers are essentially the holy of holies because that's where the holy spirit resides they must be pure before he can enter.❤

@@sheriedwards362 How did the high priest purify himself before entering the holy of holies? He had to choose a perfect lamb then it had to be sacrificed. He didn't need to repent and ask for forgiveness before the sacrifice. the sacrifice was the requirement. and in the New Testament, believing in Christ's sacrifice is enough to get us in and reconcile us with God, then we will receive the Holy Spirit who will enable us to produce the fruit of repentance and good works. The only way to be pure and receive the Holy Spirit is by Faith in Christ's atonement first. the rest follows instantly.
