the worst thing about EAFC for me is the effort to reward ratio, yes you get more packs than ever before but more often than not you get absolutely nothing from those packs, it's never been this bad. Also, bring back swap tokens man

I want to do the Argentina objective in WL but can’t because can’t buy a defender who’s at least half decent. Why not make them accessible through friendlies or rivals or release an Argentina party bag or something. It’s so frustrating. Now got to wait until later in the week when the players come down in price. Or better still make it not a particular nation & just make it any nation of your choice. So much potential. Execution is just ass

Simple because they want you to keep buying the game in hope that they fix the bugs in the next edition. Which they never do.

I don't even get walkouts from the 89+ exchange or any exchange for that matter the majority of the time. Grind doesn't work for me. It's appalling pack weight. Player picks are just as bad aswell, just 83's,84's or lower & the odd 85+ player rarely,not had a single special card from the exchange or picks & I'm on the game for at least 5-6 hours a day plus doing little bits on the companion app during the day like relisting players etc. Don't know what else to say really. we can’t even enjoy our cards because just in the next few days there will be even better cards so now you have to get those if you want to be competitive and that would be ok if it’s once and a while but almost every week?? Yeah that’s what killed the game for me

I think all of this is aimed at forcing people towards the store. Lots of sbcs, no way to grind without endless time and short time requirements on sbcs mean people are inclined to buy store packs to get fodder quickly rather than grind as the grind has been made so much less rewarding

They were giving out good rewards but then decide to change it, like 83+ upgrade pack for objectives, wtf is that, just give us packs so we can craft sbcs, EA are clueless

I get the fact that in general the content has been good this year but does it really matter if the game is unplayable? I hear people saying that they have good gameplay and bad gameplay, for me it’s been bad gameplay all year and it’s really ridiculous at this point, how is it possible that I play a gold team and all of these player play better than my god team, I just can’t call this an enjoyable game when my only fun is on menu!

It’s simple, they took away our ability to craft fodder. Loads of SBCs and they are so hard to complete. Also why are the promo cards so hard to park? Especially for this time of year.

It's the same schedule every year. The majority of people stopped playing the game myself included, I'm about to go on vacation for 3 weeks. They slow down the content during this time of the year and when FC25 is almost out they start dropping 99 rated cards to keep you involved. I love my time I'm going to the beach see y'all in FC25. Go out people summer won't last forever.

Being as fair as i can, the one thing for me is I have never felt my time is valued by EA, be it in gameplay, menus or modes outside of UT all together. With there being other games out there that heavily respect my time, Elden Ring for example (now Shadow of the Erdtree). My EA FC24 game time heavily reflects that, way less than 100 hours on a game i've had nearly a year now

I think EA realized it was too easy for people to craft everything using the exchange and pp method and the market just kept crashing so they've ruined the grind to try and preserve the value of the top tier cards so that people still care about them and go to the store to try and pack them. Personally, I'm gonna play only till the end of this season because I want to play with Kroos and Puskas and after that I don't think I'm gonna spend time on this game

I didn't play Rivals this week. The gameplay to bad and the rewards are worse. Actually, reverse that. I played the trial this year and purchased the game for the first time since I had a PS2. I really enjoyed the game. But it has gotten worse and worse. To the point that I now don't know that I'm going to do anymore than check the menus and see if there is something fun to do. Really disappointing.

They killed the grind the exact same time as people started boycotting the store, no coincidence there they’re just trying to make more money

i've stopped playing as of yesterday... every single person has a team full of end game players which were far too easy to get .... there just isnt a point to playing now

The sbc grind has been brilliant, only letdown is imo gameplay, I feel drained after 3/4 games @ rivals or weekend league

In my oppinion EA are making worse packs/rewards so we dont have to make SBC´s with 10-20 teams (which is extremely boring to do) now they make SBC´s with 2-6 teams for insane players instead, so of course they need to give us less fodder

Completely agree, maybe not with how bad the promos are but with rewards regressing, I try and do all the smaller SBCs and any big ones think are worth it or will make my team, right now tho I simply do not have the fodder to keep up like I usually do, it’s frustrating because it’s not my issue but a rewards issue

Nep you say the SBCs they've released are sick, 100% agree, but how do you get fodder for those SBCs? The game is not in a position it was when you did the Mbappe POTM RTG, Fodder is very very very hard to obtain outside of the store.

So the dichotomy of where we are now needs to be viewed objectively; something i think none of us watching this video, reading these comments or even making the content to begin with can offer. A question to nep to start with; do you think you'd have invested as many hours into the game IF you had a view count/ cpm that was comparable to past years? Respecting this is your job and a source of income that you and your team are reliant on, it can't feel good having to work effectively twice as hard to pull the same numbers in (doing something i know you hate but wanting to continue my point i'm going to assume your answer would be "no" sorry not sorry :P .) Does this then make your view skewed in a slightly different way to the addicted consumer that would find themselves lurking in the comments? I know for a fact if adobe changes certain format's or layouts or add updates that'll "make things better" that it'll send me into a diatribe not to dissimilar to the above vid but that doesn't stop me from using it because i need to for work. The second group of players that EA are probably needing to pander to are the average gamers that won't lurk in the comments section and don't pay attention to the evo section/ upgrade grind or objectives enough to care but will spend a good amount in the store. Us lurkers we're given an all you can eat buffet with unlimited re-fills giving us everything we need to complete the game which to the average joe would be enough to stop them wanting to stop playing/ spending when they come up against our gnarly "completed it mate, get good" teams. So a way to a balance that was probably needed not to send us to the store but to balance the odds back towards the mass who would normally spend in the store. Possibly reaching.... definitely a skewed view regardless still a fan of your firstly for reactions like these and the game second always. :D

You are actually spot on. I’ve been doing players picks since Fantasy fc. Like seriously a lot. Packed a lot of good stuff. And everytime I packed something awesome it inspired me to actually keep going because of ,and here comes the addict in me, the feeling that the next big thing is around the corner. At a certain point I would just log on to do player picks only. And now since they also killed the players picks. There is not a lot to play the game for anymore.

This is not football its 90% AI controlled.. I won my first 2 games in champs gualifier and lost 6 in a row then won the last 2 games easily.. they are using AI difficulty to make u play all your champs games

Fifa player base/community is just poor. Look every other game. You get season pass and one major update every season. Just deal with it. Nobody deals everyday content for you🤔😄

Make your mark sucks because no one cares about the majority of the people they made cards for. Why would I really want barcola over Salah? Just because it’s a better statistical card, it’s way more fun scoring with your favorite players. No offense to barcola.

Controversial but I just think the gameplay is different and u just need ti get used yo it. How boring would it be if gameplay was the aame year on year, people would get too good at it and having to learn new ways and methods is all part of it. People just complain because its not the same as year previous

I don’t know anything about EA’s employee structure but it’s more than evident that there are at least 2 or more teams doing content. You can’t go from an insane promo to a garbage 1 unless it’s different people.

I feel like EA should make a separate champs option so you can bring your one nation teams against others so it’s more on par versus trying to compete with top tier teams. Kinda like they do in friendlies. So you can either play against nation team objective teams or someone who isn’t trying to complete it.

Ea need to bring out more evos for people like me doing lower league evo squads for example my Blackburn rovers squad, Not been able to evo my 84 rated RW with 74 shots for 4 months because EA keep bringing out evos for cards that are already top tier. Hardly gonna break the game by letting us evo players that haven’t been eligible for months since evos are always behind the power curve. The fact I have been able to evo my Gullit before most of my 78-85 rated players because of them having too many play styles is a joke

The cards aren't bad, the pack rate is just shit. Plus the conditions for 86+, Player Pick 85+ and Player Pick 81+. You just can't grind it anymore. I don't have enough food for it. Bronze pack method is dead, bronze trainer method is also dead because the cards have so much chemistry now. I can't do anything with the packs and the pack rate. And the proof why the game sucks. I got Haaland Red Pick last week and this week. Why did I pick Haaland again? Because I have him in the club, of course.

For me EA have had a balance problem for years, an example for Champ you could get Pickford and Enzo, for Rivals, Squad Battles and Draft you got nothing. And if EA wanted people to go to the store, they could just make all the big cards SBC and the only way to get big fodder from there

Respectfully bro it’s easy to say it’s boring in June. You’ve made your money & the game is at its end cycle. RU-vidrs will still hype the new game yet by the end of its cycle they admit it’s not enjoyable every single time? I stopped playing ultimate team around November. Thats how bad it was this year. Until people stop streaming/buying it on the first day nothing will change!

I feel like they have just got the last 2 promos the wrong way round if this was 2 weeks of ptg we would be looking at it differently - the season players are more interactive that the MYM cards purely because of how they upgrade. Same with upgrades we will have better upgrades this Monday just fell a bad week

Unfortunately wether you like it or not, every decision made within the game is dependent on money. There is a reason for this, we won’t ever find out what it is. That being said, for me, the gameplay is beyond painful. I do not enjoy the gameplay wether I win or lose and no matter if I have the best players or not. The skill gap is non existent and you constantly battle against the game and not your opponent. There is a constant feeling of being “hard done by” And the way that people are allowed to compete when they are clearly very very average or bad at the game.

All of the promos from Golazo onwards have been dead. Anyone with half a brain cell knew this was gonna happen the second all those SBCs came out during TOTY (Best, Bruno, Sawa). The power curve has just been pushed way too high this year. No longer do you grind League SBCs to get your club up, but rather EA just give you free 83x10s every day. There's NO PROGRESSION.

Content really hasn’t been the problem this game it’s how atrocious the gameplay has been since after the first patch nerf aft nerf more animations in an already buggy game this list could go on gameplay is the reason this game has been the worst fifa and why no one wants to play because what’s the point of have a insane team from the content being given out and yet going into game and 95 rated cards feeling like a 67 bronze card

The way it would make the game worthy, is if the rewards were worthy from where you placed in FUT CHAMPS and DIV RIVALS, also that the game shouldn’t be just based on tactics, as you could have a full gold team and beat a 94 full chem team, they need to balance it out and have play styles more accurate to players

I’ve played this game more than I played fifa 23 by 8 days more so far and there’s still a few months left… but I don’t find it fun anymore but there’s just something there that keeps me playing. Even if it isn’t fun. It’s abit like McDonald’s, the smell you have no clue what it is, but it brings you back and back and back.

I really don't think this game is that bad. It's easy to get a good team, and not as much pay to win as it was the last few years. The gameplay isn't the best for sure, but unfortunately that's most sports games these days I feel as people are so heavily focused on daily content.

The grind is done it's not even worth your time now can't even get fodder to finish some of the SBC unless you go to the store cause player picks are so bad along with everything else I've not even got far in the season cause not even worth doing the objectives for the xp as packs you get are rubbish so not worth the time

The league sbcs used to be fun doing every team, ea just got lazier with that stuff and friendlies and silver stars just to foxus on their store packs

I think next year totw should be live in order to rescue it. There should be a totw card for every player available in packs from the start and then when the totw is released each week it boosts those players just like the live items do this year.

i think the biggest L for me is how they're attaching so much of the xp to friendlies, especially since the friendlies packs are bad
