If Isro send you for M Tech at IISC, then there must be some service/money bond from Isro to fulfill after M Tech. How did you skip that bond and joined PhD? Also, You joined IIT Kharagpur for PhD, not IISc because IIT Kharagpur is nearer to your home??
1. I didnot join Mtech as sponsored candidate. I resigned ISRO and then Join IISC Mtech. So there was no bond for me. 2. Yes Kgp is my home city, thats one of the point behind the decision. And there are few more, which I will make a video soon to explain. Please wait.
Sir what options someone will have if he/she complete his/her phd and then post doc and his/her age exceed 32 to 35 years in india. Specifically if he/she wants to do research related works what possible good options will be available to such individuals?
Yes, true. Actually only having degree is not sufficient. you need to understand the subject and have some expertise on it. Other wise you will struggle in the interviews. And that happens with many people.
Generally you need to have a gate score or net score or a mteg degree. Then each iit has their own written test and interview process, which you need to clear
PhD is really interesting study system, also you get stipend upto 30k per month. Some IITs also have tieups with foreign reputed institution. You must have interest in research work..
Hi kishalay hope you are doing great I want to pursue PhD from ETH Zurich post my mtech ece branch from iisc I want to know more about the prospects of doing the same please kindly reply me how much iisc will help me to realize my dream
Its more upto you than IISc. You need to work hard to get some good quality paper to get admission into colleges like ETH Zurich. Obviously IISc will provide you infrastructure, but you need to use that and publish something for secure the admission in ETH.
I have just completed my masters from NITK Surathkal. I’ll like to clear some points to budding researchers - 1. If you are not PMRF holder then your monthly stipend will be 32K/month which you can compare with your peers. 2. Joining any good institute in India for professorship, you need PhD from any world reputed institutes like ( Ivy League ) if you are doing PhD from India then a post doc experience of at least 5 years. So if you are willing to devote your 10-12 years for an entry level job in an institute. All the best :)
@@divyanshuthakur7578 Sir may I ask you a question? If someone doesn't want to do teaching, and wants to do research, and if in a worst case scenario his/her age exceed 35 years after phd+post doc what possible good options will be available to such individuals.
