I just finished my semi pro season. The reason I stopped playing is because guys our age I’m (23) make this a lifestyle, veteran players been playing this game longer over 10 years. Nobody goes to practices, during games guys are childish, fighting like little kids, arguments go on longer than plays, police gets involved, games forfeit cause of fighting, injuries. Men pay more attention to semi pro on social media than their kids or family. Sometimes it gets so bad when there’s fights some fans would get in the field and pullout guns, yeah this is semi pro in Texas. To me it’s not worth it, it just kills the game all these causes.
This is Semi pro football in Illinois too. This crazy because even tho y’all miles away seem like we all got the same stories. I played my rookie year last year and between the favoritism, my team fighting every game, players talking down on each other because we down 1 point I also quit. I got tired of waisting my Saturday’s
All I wanted was a ring and my team was so fucked up! Favoritism, fighting each other, guns getting pulled out one game with my kids there. People that don’t even come to practice playing the most I also quit by the 3rd game
I played in the gdfl and won a national championship ring I had several nfl tryouts but due to my concussions playing defense I put it off I’m 41 now and that was 12 years ago
albion warriors from michigan bro shouting out. i had to laugh because i quit third game of my first season because semi pro was so wack compared to high school ball. but i stuck with it and im about to finish up the season. we are 5-1 and we got a playoff game Saturday. keep pounding bro. ball again!
