I resigned from Pizza Hut, still love pizza hut but it didn't work for me anymore with uni etc. No love lost. Resigning shouldn't be weighted with scandal, most of the time people just can't suit anymore.
Thank you Caner for sharing your airline experience. I was about to apply in Turkish Airline as DEC on narrow body, after watching this, you saved my time. Well done. All the best on your new job in US.
Caner, very few people take bold decisions to follow their interest. It takes lot of courage especially when our bill are fixed to pay off. I am a long distance runner, hardly now get time to train as my office roles have gone up and so my child turned 5 yrs old to go to school. I ran 25 plus half marathons and 3 times 50km finisher. But now i am returning from my passion. Trying hard to get there and be there. Of course cannot resign though. Take away from your video was we have to think what is best for us. Beyond duties we have to live our own life.
Thanks Caner for this video of why you left your job at Turkish Airlines. They say that inflation and costs are even worse in Turkey now with all the Russians going there trying to escape the war. The cost of apartment rentals increased a lot and some Turkish people can hardly afford the cost of living there.
Bro, you want to do Phd AND explore and fly to many destinations? How many years are you in aviation? You are still thinking as a first officer... Yes in 4 years you have seen it all. Perfect! Some time away from the house and family to rest or do whatever you like to do! Have been to this destination 50 times. So I know all the threats, runways, ils, rnav etc. Easy life...... the life of a captain!
@@CanerAcarbay How did you manage to join a US airline as a foreign pilot? To my knowledge, they don't sponsor visas or green cards for pilots, so they expect you to already have a green card.
hi Caner great video. planing to sign on flight school for a pilot career currently living in Chicago. according to FAA minimum atp is 1500 hours. is any shorter than this for turkish airlines just in case maybe could appy there to build up multi engine in Turkey. I am currently permanent residence in US and have my Turkish passport. Could you recomend me applying for THY to build up atp hours faster on a multi engine aircraft ? i dont know what is the minimun atp hours to apply for THY ?
I am planning to study aviation in Turkey, there are two options I have, and I would be grateful if you could tell me which is better. The first is to study at a two-year academy and obtain a license. The second option is for me to enter a university and study a major called professional aviation. The student studies for 4 years (of which two years are in an academy contracted with the university) so that the student graduates with a bachelor’s degree and license. I also own Turkish citizenship, so can I get a job at Turkish airlines easily? or what's your advice to me.
As long as you have Turkish Citizenship, you can apply each job. If you successfully pass the interview, you will be offered a job for sure. I would recommend you to get flight training outside of the university and study another department in the university. If you are successful enough to get scholarships in flight training departments, then definitely go for it! Free pilot training is the best thing ever.
Neresinden tutsan elinde kalır cinsten şirket şurda her şeyini yazsak üç cilt ansiklopedi çıkar.
Maalesef yok öyle birşey:) Dediğiniz olsa maaşı alır almaz dolar yaparsınız. Maaş otomatik dolar olur:) THY türk lirası ödeme yapıyor. Maaşlar da enflasyon kadar yükseltiliyor.
You are very kind to Turkish Airlines... What about the political issues, maybe you left long time ago, you should see now.. You are very lucky that you left
I'm not here to talk about the politics. I love Turkish Airlines. Why should I be a rude to TK? I'll talk whatever the truth is. Thanks for the comment :)
Your work ethic and loyalty would condemn you to a regional airline in the US. You'd be flying puddle jumpers between Enid, Ok. and Newton, Ks. if you were lucky. You don't have a family and you're a young man. That's time to work. A pilot has no need for a PhD. unless he doesn't plan on being a pilot much longer. Airlines aren't stupid. They know what you're doing and why.
Why would my work ethic and loyalty condemn me to a regional airline? You are right, a Pilot doesn’t need a PhD. However a Pilot definitely need a backup plan in his/her life. Aviation industry historically struggles with crises once every ten years. My PhD is my back up plan. I also recommend each pilot to have at least one backup in their life.
@John Gaither I, quite frankly, cannot make sense of your comment. “Airlines know what you are doing” ???? What the heck? Everyone has a right to educate themselves in as many vocations as they see fit. As for a backup plan……hats off to Caner. A wise man doing wise things. He has a dream, and it is BIG, whatever that dream may be. It is HIS DREAM and plan, not yours. If you aim at nothing, you will hit hit 100% of the time! So, Caner is AIMING HIGH instead. His education record proves that he is focused, dedicated to a task to completion and hungry to advance in life. Caner, dream your dream, fulfill your plan and keep on trekking!!!! I did, have a PhD that I did not use (I just loved the subject I studied as a passion), never used it (but it helped me out in life experience without fail) and completed a successful work life balanced career that allows me to retire 10 years earlier than planned.
India 🇮🇳 will grow significantly in aviation industry in the next 10 years. Center of gravity of the aviation moves towards to east. India will have one of the largest pieces from the cake for sure.
