Thursday night witnessed the most violent Israeli strikes on Dahiyeh, southern Beirut, even more intense than the bombing that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Israeli officials said they targeted Hashem Safieddine, a potential successor to Nasrallah. The Lebanese group has yet to comment on the target of the overnight strike.
