I’ve never seen a store owner offer financing for their merchandise, then give a disclaimer urging people not to go into debt for their products as they are not necessities. I agree with you 100% and think it’s awesome that you put that out there……(I guess technically any sort of financing is by definition is debt, but I think your message is clear not to spend money you don’t have on a watch)

Thank you for including the financial advice Mark. I’ve seen a lot lately the comment “debt is temporary, drip is forever” when referring to expenses watch purchases. Credit card / loan debt is all time highs and it’s really refreshing to see your quick advice.

Good advice about finance. I have used 0% deals in the past and usually have one on the go at any one time. I have bypassed some serious price rises so it has worked for me. My advice is the same as yours. Make sure the payments are affordable if another problem should arise. I still like that model on the mesh.

Just recently bought a 1545 from you Marc. That blue 1521 will be my next Squale purchase, don’t know when, but it has been in my radar for some time.

Love this brand. I own two. They need to call Christopher Ward or someone to figure out how to create a reasonably priced cast clasp with a micro adjust. That seems to be the weakest link in their chain. It would improve their perceived quality and comfort immensely.

I had been considering selling my 1521, but i might have to pick up one of these bracelets for mine. The crown will still be a little hard to get to though.

Somehow missed this video when it came out and now the polished bracelet is out of stock! Gorgeous bracelet will make me wear my 1521 profundo more (I’m a bracelet guy) which it deserves. When do you think they will be back in stock??

Beautiful bracelet. A bit of a bummer it didn't offer a tool-less on the fly micro-adjustment possibility, chamfered edges on the milled "scissor" like on some SEIKOs and screwed links tho, especially for the price and as it's made by a respected brand like Squale. That would've been the cherry on top. Still a great upgrade!

I bought a bracelet for a 1545 I had, direct from Squale. I couldn't use the tightest hole of microadjust, because the divers extension got in the way of it and wouldn't fit within the clasp when that first microadjust hole was used. Pretty poor IMO. Also, with so many microbrands offering on the fly quick adjust, why are brands like Squale still persisting with microadjust holes, especially when you consider the price of the bracelet alone. I really want to like tgis option and buy a bracelet for my 1521. But there's a few factors that remain slightly off putting for me unfortunately.

Wish they would have had that available last year before I bought the 1545. I wanted the 1521, but wanted a bracelet. That polish looks great!

Great video Marc! Personally, I think they should have ditched the diver extension for a tool-free micro adjust with side push release buttons. Friction fit clasp is so outdated.

I fear for the sanctity of that high polish but the bracelet is quite affordable so I wouldn't worry too much about it. PS I just hope it doesn't take 50 years for a 38mm blue aventurine/ goldstone Brookville. Also appreciate _responsible_ Finance Marc, that guy knows what he's talking about.

I wish this had a standard springbar mount for the clasp on both sides so that the clasp could be changed. I can’t do a bracelet without one of those 6 position ratcheting clasps anymore, and I’m not spending over $500 for two bracelets to make it work for me. But, it is a beautiful bracelet.

That is a great looking bracelet, I just wish they did a brushed finish on the center links for the fully polished model to break it up a little and help the wear. You’re gonna need to buy Cape Cod cloths by the pallet to keep that looking nice lol.

I don’t have a Swiss diver, is Squale worth it? My budget is around $1500 US max inc all taxes etc. I’d rather not get a Swatch group watch, have plenty of their other brands. Oris has my eye but then I keep coming back to the Squale…

Now that the non-GMT Sub-39 is discontinued(boo!), it makes sense that Squale would class up the 1521.

Any bracelet without on the fly micro adjust in 2024 might as well not exist.

A bit too bling for my tastes and will be a smudge and scratch magnet. Some brushed centre links would have been great I think.

In my opinion, Squale missed the opportunity on coming out with a bracelet that competes with the likes of Christopher Wards, Formex, and other micro brands in the same price range. Quick release and on the fly quick adjust clasp are a must for me if I am spending this much on a watch. Some micro brands are offering these 2 features on watches below $700.

I don't know if I can handle that much polish on a watch, but looks great!

I will squeek if I pay 1870$ for this watch. It's nice for 150$-200$ tops.
