I started gardening to stop depression setting in during the lockdown, I bought bulbs and small plants, and am filling the garden with flowers, thanks John for all the great advice!
"And now my heart's an open book, and my secret love's no secret anymore" I love old songs too. You bring my remembrence back. Thank you Mr. Lord. Appreciate you so much, as do countless other fans.
You are my favorite RU-vidr. Please make many more videos. I love the critters, too, although, as you say, I would prefer the deer at least at a distance.
I visited Ireland a couple years ago not knowing what to expect, with not too much excitement. Damn! Was I surprised! I could hardly believe how wonderful it is. I did not want to leave and plan to go back. It’s absolutely beautiful, the flora and fauna, and the pubs, the people, were delightful.

Dear Mr Lord, Thank you for sharing all this useful information on plantings! If I too ever visit Ireland, I would like to visit your nursery! Lena Athanasiadou, Horticulturist-landscape architect from Greece.
Great person you are Mr Lord such a gift to this difficult age we live/exist in, love your approach to horticulture and your vibrant humerous take on everything! thank-You sir for all your effort and knowledge, I know where to come for gardening advice that I can understand.☺.
I can relate to you liking rabbits on the other side of the fence! I have bunnies and 'possums and..... I don't mind sharing but 'sharing' is the operative word!
What a lovely man! Nature fascinates me too, but I draw the line at spiders and snakes only because here in Australia, so many are life threatening. And this is why I am dreaming of moving to Ireland, no snakes, harmless spiders and of course, lovely people like John, the mild wet climate, the amazing history and the music!
GT video and personal information I talk and show my 7 year old grandson where veg comes from and he water and sow is own seed thanks for your time 🐝👍 👍
Hi Jonh, Please could you advise me on a crimsom queen acer, we left it to get bone dry for couples of weeks we where away, What is the best way to recover it?, we put water on it, and it seem to be stop dropping the leaves, but still look a bit sad. Thanks very much.
Do you like aphids? I hate lupin aphids. I have to spray them and this also kills bumble bees and other beneficial insects. This means 90 percent of the lupins have to die this autumn and this makes me very sad. I cannot do things to harm bumble bees like planting lupins and then having the problems of getting rid of lupin aphids. I now do not spray anymore. I just remove the lupins which have lupin aphids and this makes me very sad so I do not harm any bumble bees and beneficial insects.
