Yup, real fans of artists don't become toxic bullies or bail when their favorite artists put on weight or fall in love. You weren't a real fan if you do that, you were living in a delusional fantasy of your own making. You thought you were in a relationship with the singer but really it was a parasocial relationship. Be a fan of their personalities, be a fan of their talent (singing, dancing, rapping) but you don't own them and you're not their BF/GF. You're a stranger to them and they don't owe you anything, especially not being unhealthily thin and being single in order to please you. Honestly, with what happened to Irene for example. I understand why they would take note what was being said. SM artists get lots of flack for any mistakes they make. So many people ready to pounce on their artists for being from SM.

yeah! even though it was *obviously* a joke since it had been a long time since she had stopped smoking, she knows how to correctly lighten the air by adding some humor into it and "normalizing" the very common behavior (though smoking is dangerous and shouldn't really be "normalized"). it's very admirable and one of the many reasons why i've stayed being a fan of hers ♡☆♡☆♡..
I mean technically Jessi is a kpop idol, but just a very fuckin real and free one who doesn't sugarcoat shit and is brutally honest, that's what I love about her. I became a fan of red velver thanks to joy dumb dumb fancam, i remember watched her with that pink jersey and white shorts and i thouth "she is so hot and powerful, look at all that charisma" and then i decide to stan, btw was the firts kpop group i have even stan... then i read most comments call her fat, i was so angry!!!!! Where ???? Fat where!!!!! .... now that she is sexy (thin) she was always sexy she got A HUGE AMOUNT OF FANS, i got a bit angry you know, like why now ??? You only like her cuz she is thin and sexy ? Joy is more than that, she is honest, hardworking, cute, and has a besutiful honey soft voice + her charisma .... she is way more than her body.

well, you can also look "quiet" when it's your first time doing something like Joy being a solo artist and talking about it outside of her group, and her first time on Showterview aaand perhaps bc she's surrounded by new people or isn't too close with Jessi yet. It feels formal, but thanks to Jessi's chill but professionalism vibe, Joy is able to calm down and just simmer in this vibe with Jessi here as well to calm her internal nerves a bit
Joy is actually completely an introvert, and she herself has said she’s completely different off the camera than on. I do think she’s a little sad in this video, but I think an enormous dimension of this is the real her.

yeah joy is really down-to-earth and genuine, and although on stage she can appear really confident and some people assume she's an extrovert, she's actually an introvert. she has such a lovely warm energy that i don't see often. this really was the softest episode.

Red Velvet is her babies, she always babying them if u notice when they are together. I remember when they hug and cling with each other during the end of music bank when they are promoting together during RF era. I found it so cute despite during that time RV slowly getting matured but Jessi still look at them like a baby 😂
I can see her disappointment when not all of the member are there, but still she had a good time with JOY and treat her gently( though she's really not like that to her guests). hoping to have all of the members here when they have their comeback

I'm not a fan of Red Velvet but I'm glad that Joy first appearance as a SOLO artist is showterview with Jessi. I'm sure that the staff who chose showterview as Joy first debut appearance as solo artist know that Jessi will help Joy to be comfortable during the interview, and she takes good care of Joy. We can see how nervous she was in the first minute but Jessi melt the ice by telling her stories first.

I have never cried so much while watching a variety show!!! Hearing Joy and Jessi speak about how overwhelming yourself can really affect your mental and physical state....really made me tear up because it felt I wasn't alone :((
