The problem I have is how a 50 year old man could even be *attracted* to such a young body. It’s not like he absolutely needed to have a child. He did it for pleasure, how could a righteous man, in any time do that? Granted, she wasn’t traumatized, this was a special case. She could have gotten traumatized, and such a “wise” man should know that.

The problem I have with this is that he was supposed to be a man inspired by God and his knowledge transcending all times, then and now. So with that type of eternal "knowledge" he should have known that it was not the right thing to do regardless of the norm of the day; perhaps he was not wise as people would like to believe.

14-15 is puberty, not 9. Aisha was NOT in puberty at 9 because " she was allowed to take her dolls with her ", you should know that in puberty the girls are not allowed to play with dolls. 14yo marrying 13yo is not the same as 9 to 50! If you talk about culture customs, some people EAT their enemies. Should we do that? Something being a barbaric custom doesn't justify it's practicing.

Yes there is Hadith in Bukhari that Aish’a age was six when she married then her marriage was consummated at 9. What a horrible thing to say about the prophet. So I did some research concluded her age was between 18-22 based on the following:- 1) Most if not all the people who reported this took it from one source, Hisham ibn Orwat Ibn Al Zbeir Ibn Al Awwam who was born after Aisha passed away. Hisham is a trust worthy source in general. But get this, he lived in Madina for 71 years, never said anything about Aisha’s age then moved to Iraq in the last 10 years of his life where he suddenly narrated this. It was mentioned that his memory and mind was weaken with age to the point that biggest scholars of Islam like Malik ibn Anas refused to take anything he said after leaving to Iraq. He mixed the dates of Hijra ( when prophet migrated to Madina) and Bi’tha ( first revelation) 2) There are sources In Bukhari and other books saying Asma’ the older sister of Aisha was bigger than her by 10 years and Asma’ was born in the 27 years before Hijra which is 14 years before First revelation which means Aisha was 4 at that time and since the prophet married her 2 years from Hijra that puts her age to 19. 3) There is Quranic text that mandates physical and mental maturity for marriage. In fact Islam is the only religion that has this (quran 4:6) “Test the orphans until they reach the age of marriage, and then if you find them mature of mind hand over to them their property” Some ignorant opinions say Surat Altalaq (divorse) 65:4 that states if absolutely men need to divorce women they need to wait till they give birth if pregnant, or three months if they have no menstruation such as due to menopause or medical condition ( amenorrhea) and that’s to ensure they won’t be divorced while being pregnant. These ignorant people say no menstruation here include young children. How sick is this? A verse that is so feminist and all about women rights to be changed to include not only children abuse but also divorcing them. Crazy. 4) There are many contradictions that will stem from the assumption that Aisha age was six at marriage including taking her to war when she was 7 (Badr Gaswa) and when she was 8 (Ohod Gazwa). Of corse she was at least 20 years when she went to war with the prophet perhaps to render medical help. 5) Finally let’s not pretend that young girls don’t marry around the world. According to wikipedia as of today Massachusetts allows girls as young as 12 to get married, Utah 14 and Mississippi 15.

You cannot compare 14 years with the age of Aisha. How did you know she didn't complain. However. with her immaturity, she may be childishly happy. If the prophet was genuine and from God, he would have done the right thing at any point of time. God should have told him, even though everybody is marrying very young girls, I forbid you to do so. Take a wife of at least, 18 years old and please tell others to do so. This is what I think someone hearing from a true God will do. There is a HUGE difference between a teenage girl and a 9 year old girl, so the comparison with Romeo and Juliet isn't helpful. Most sensible people would agree with Qadhi that imposing modern standards onto people from the past isn't fair, but Muhammad isn't just some random person from the past; he is viewed by muslims as a moral example and one of the best human beings to ever live. Reconciling that with his marriage to Aishah requires serious intellectual gymnastics.

so it proves that mohommad was the prophet of 6th century his teachings n his life is not relevent according to current times!!

What i dont understand that,When Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) married Ayesha, U guys say it was the norm of that time,But prophet Mohammad was an example of best of the best men.When he married Ayesha, he went with the social norm,but when he married Zaynab he went against the norm of Arabia culture.Even Qur’an verses were also revealed for that. Our beloved prophet Muhammad peace be upon him he didn't married, when Aysha was 6,or 10 there is no mention in the Quran. Others books are not evidence of Islam except Quran.
