Why did this ABANDONED Victorian school once teach a young Dracula ?

This Huge abandoned Victorian school is full of amazing period features, creepy hallways and even a gym, but photos on the walls give a hint of what happened in this place after the final bell rang! Vampires roamed the halls of this once grand building but maybe not quite as you may expect!

I’m so happy I found this video as a big Young Dracula fan growing up (series 3-5 being filmed there) as you were walking around I found myself being like ‘oh my gosh that room was used as the kitchen’ or ‘that was the main character’s bedroom!’, so surreal seeing it now! The wallpaper was put in for the 5th series- didn’t want to include the school element anymore- and made the place look more ‘vampy’, which I think they did a good job at! Amazing video 👏🏻

Very cool explore! Love this era of architecture and decor. Those vases on the wall were probably really for flowers! The Victorians loved flowers everywhere and they are called “wall pockets.”

I think a great deal of what we saw with the wallpaper and the paintworks were done by the set people from the TV show. That large fireplace that Matt loved so much, the focal piece was a white glass clock plate. You can see pieces of it on the floor with roman numerals for the hours. Shame people have broken up so much that is there. I think you are correct in your guess about those high vases on the walls, they are simply there to keep the flowers fresh and not risk having kids knock a vase off of a table every 10 minutes.

I know I am commenting a lot, but if the tiles on the fireplace are wavy (the blue ones) they are probably from the early 1900’s or late 1800’s... y’all are so interesting! Holy cow!!! I am just now seeing the beautiful fireplace with the marble!! What a room!!

Fantastic explore, you guys just get funnier. Matt and his breakfast on the toilet, reminded me of Homer Simpson when he came up with the idea. And we have the same problem in Australia with buildings that get "Heritage Listed." No one's allowed to do anything to them, so they just rot and fall apart.

Those tiles on those fireplaces look like they might be Jackfield tiles. You would probably enjoy the Jackfield Tile Museum and all the Iornbridge Gorge museums too where they also showcase wrought ironwork :)

Bit late to the party but that room with all the posters... I reckon circa 2007-2010 for a bunch of them. Gold teeth was a club night in Manchester. Looks like it might still be going. I can also see the remnants of a rock kitchen poster which was the rock night at the Met Union.

The photos on the wall were from Young Dracula series. Name of the character (at the top) and name of actor who played the part. (googled Ramanga - Robbie Gee) so guessing it goes for all of them. Ryan Pope was in shameless and also Corrie (google again lol). love the videos you do x
