What I enjoy most about your videos is it brings back long-forgotten, memories of my own father in his basement hobby wood shop. I can remember the smells, the dust, the sounds. Also him answering my numerous questions, singing, and the occasional expletive. 😂

Thanks! That's great! It's the same for me remembering my Dad. There's this certain combination of alcohol, turpentine and nitro-cellulose lacquer that will take me right back to his shop!

Tom, you are so funny sometimes....I promise I won't ever believe you know what you're doing 😂😂😂 I love, love, love the picture perfect view of Miss Ella at the end😍I'll never tire of watching her look up adoringly at you as you welcome us into your workshop. Your video tutorials are so well shot and edited, and this one was no exception, if I was local I could spend all day sanding in your shop any day.

I really admire how you take as much time as you need and apply the same amount of care in working on this simple little frame as you do with larger more elaborate pieces of furniture. It demonstrates your talent but also a respect for all the hand detailing that the original maker put into it's creation. Beautiful job. I always learn so much watching you work

Your close in shots are some of the best camera work on YT. No detail is missed. I’m not sure I would have the confidence to do this. But your artistry speaks for itself. Not only in your main craft but in your production and “casting”. That little touch at the end was a great note to finish on. The star of the show was framed by this weeks subject. She is so photogenic.

One of the things I always had a hard time explaining is that duplicating something someone else designed, cut, or produced is much more difficult than the long quick cuts of the original carver. The handwork always has personal style, just like handwriting is all different. You do it well.

Master Johnson, this was such a pleasure to watch. I had to smile when I saw that band-aid on you thumb; it reminded me of the first time I used a chisel on a project when I was about 12. My father told me to be careful because it was very sharp just as I almost lopped off the tip of my thumb. I eventually had to sand out my blood stain from the project. Again, beautiful work.
