1971 Indo-Pakistani war, where USA, UK, China, Iran, Arab League and Sri Lanka supported Pakistan. On the other hand India was supported by only one country, Soviet Union.
At first Soviet Union signed Indo-Soviet Friendship Treaty with India, then USSR did veto against USA in UNSC, and also send two groups for Cruiser and Destroyers and a Nuclear Submarine to fight against American Task Force 74.
So one question is why Soviet Union openly supported India in this war ? Today we will discuss about this topic.
