Why did Zaid really go to MJ’s bedroom? I Is Khaie worth watching? I Serial Killer I KMBK 

As a Pashtun I hate dramas like Khai so sick of us being shown as violent blah blah enough of stereotyping us Im so sick of it.

Mein: Agree with amna. There is a lot of chemistry between Wahaj and Ayeza but the script is poor. Zaid has gone to mj's room for a company. That's how they will develop their relationship in future. They should make a comeback with a better project ❤

For the love of God can people stop mentioning Murtasim. You are type-casting Wahaj now as the alpha male. Yes, Zaid is a poorly written character but the comparison between wahajs every character and Murtasim is stupid. Also, Hassan please stop complaining lol Zaid was never sold as a hero!! I am so tried of hearing the same thing! You previously said you don't judge actors by their previous characters leave Murtu back in TB! Mein: This show is such a poorly written and directed. No character makes sense except Asif Uncle. They just wasted Ayeze and Wahaj in this. They were looking so good in bedroom's scene but writer has no wish to clarify any character's head in front of viewers.

Seems Faisal Qureshi is determined to beat the Khans of Bollywood in romancing girls half his age. In almost every drama he has more than one wife. The second or third wife is a young girl forced into marriage by him. The difference in Khaei, however is that he is a villain, a murderer, an outright negative character, and so it won’t be a glorified toxic hero character, like in his earlier dramas. I however, hope his character is not redeemed and made positive towards the end.

Hassan for Zaid to even going to her room was a progress in their relation and there was chemistry.. Zaid in actual reality is such a badly written character.. Like he is doing tit for tat to MJ.. And in the end he will be smitten for her.. Both Mj and zaid r antihero.. Dont call them hero..

As a pashtun, I am very triggered by dramas like Khai. Sure each ethnicity has their weird set of traditions such as Vanni, Karo Kari etc. but I don't see how these are the only stories associated with those regions. And what it does is, it stereotypes pashtuns in the mind of the common Pakistani. I didn't think that because I grew up in Islamabad where we have people from all over but then I met people in Canada who had moved here from Lahore and other cities and their impression of Pushtons was the typical hum tv drama perception because they didn't have any Pashtun friends in their immediate circle. I hate this and I hope channels find a way to tell Pashtun stories like they tell regular stories. We are more than tribalism and I find that mainstream channels only reflect on Pashtun stories with a colonial lens. Also, for the record the Sang e mah tradition was old and is no longer in practice.

I am hoping Khaie is a revenge story where Zamda avenges her family’s murder and plays the badass heroine. I love how the scenes are shot. It has a movie feel to it.

About mein and Wahaj’s character I'm like WiFi, caught between two connections, unable to decide which one to stay connected to, and constantly buffering between 'Shaadi A' and 'Shaadi B'

Mein : I think MJ wanted to show much she take care's of Zaid's need and comfort more than Aira. This is the reason she didn't sleep while zaid is sleeping. The relationship of Zaid and MJ has definitely reached the next stage as it is very important that two people should be comfortable with each other in the room at night even tough they are married. Even if a married couple becomes comfortable in a room with each other indicates that their relationship has reached next level as finding comfort in each other is also an important stage.

That was Murtasim, this is Zaed and drama was just fine it is Nt necessary tht every hero fits in a category of ur hero. Just watch the drama duniya main bohat saare kirdar hote hain.

Aamna, I can totally relate to the worry and trouble you and Musa must have gone through. Several years ago, we barely escaped this trial. My son was going back to Canada on his work visa, when thanks to my cousin, I discovered the vital importance of this stupid scrap of paper. Her son was made to disembark from the plane because he didn’t have the document, missed his flight and had to take another flight a few days later. At that time this requirement had been recently introduced and nobody had a clue about it. Now, after so many years of implementing this rule, the passengers being just as uninformed is unforgivable.

Mein: I don’t think Zaid went to MJ’s room just to get back at Ayra. Yes, I do believe it was a contributing factor, but over the last couple of episodes we’ve seen that Zaid has grown soft towards MJ and she’s playing on his mind a lot, so I believe a part of him went just cause he wanted to. And the reason he was so nervous was obviously cause even though he has shared a room with her before, it was at a time when he was completely dismissive of their relationship but now since he’s in the process of catching feelings, he’s anxious. And even though they didn’t consummate, I do agree that it was a step forward in their relationship. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that we should all start shipping Zaid and MJ cause of their chemistry, but I really like how Ayeza and Wahaj played their parts with a role reversal when it comes to gender stereotypes. Mj came across as the dominant personality (usually expected of a man) and Zaid was more timid, but both were slightly awkward cause this is new for the both of them. And I think it’s high time we stop imagining Zaid to be anything like Murtasim. He’s a very different character and will never have the same aura. I think in the context of how their characters are, ayeza and wahaj did really well. I hope we get more scenes of them in the upcoming eps! Also I wish that the ost was used in portions of this scene instead of the thriller like bgm, because it would have elevated it substantially! But alas, Badar’s old malady of not knowing where to use vs refrain from using the ost still persists!

I don't know why Hassan is unable to see the chemistry between M& Z . A love in need is a love indeed . In their case if Z wants to get married to A , he will go to M. If he needs 5 crores , M is ready to give. If he wants a reception, he will go to M . If he wants a host for his reception, M is there. Now if he wants to teach A a lesson , he will go to M . See this is called Chemistry not exploitation.

Mein - I have not watched Mein past the first two episodes but I have been watching your reviews and I went to watch this last episode and the part where Zaid ends up in MJ's bedroom. Was everyone else subjected to third hand embarrassment with that whole scene or was that just because of me not having watched Zaid and MJ for the past 20+ episodes? Either way, to answer your question he went to seek solace, comfort in MJ's bed and REALLY DID LOVE that pillow of MJ hahhaa....

Hassan please forget Murtasim and start to see Wahaj who can do different characters with different co stars I think it would be easier for you to review his dramas because you seem to be bringing Murtasim in every mein review and I agree that Zaid is not a very good character Wahaj has played but direction and writing has to be blamed or him choosing the script whatever the case Murtasim is gone until season 2 and I hope Wahaj gets free from this stereotype of a character that Murtasim was for Wahaj

Wahaj is only portraying the character which is the way zaid should be it's not his fault. It's the script that shows that zaid is a spineless, timid character who doesn't have any say of his own infront of his dad and what he has is.......... "his ego and mein" which he showed to MJ earlier and now when MJ changed the game he can't be like that to her. So basically zaid character was written that way and wahaj portrayed it very well.

Mein- there was a lot of chemistry in that scene with MJ and Zaid. I don’t take it as Zaid “needing” physical attention but more like general attention- someone to hang out with. It just happens to be someone he can be intimate with which seemed to hit him once he was in the room- making it awkward for him. I loved how he stated to Ayra that was his room too and went back to sleep. MJ isn’t playing any games in my eyes, she’s using what she has at the time Ayra isn’t around. There’s no shadiness in that, MJ is still coming out to be a winner for me. Wahaj is doing fine playing the character traits given to Zaid. There’s really no reason to bring up his performance in TB as that show was revolved around him. Mein isn’t based on him therefore his character isn’t developed to be suave or etc. Khaie- I feel nothing was surprising in the show because of all the teasers and trailers. Every scene is shown- my complaint in the video OSTs and trailers of Neem and Jhok Sarkar were they showed essential scenes to the story. Geo always has done this but really you’re going to show how every character ends up in the trailer then there’s no surprise left. Please- just do normal freeze frames or something. I feel like I know 80% of the story and have a preferred ending already. Episode 2 strongly influences you to make a decision on how some character’s stories should be at the end. I agree with Hassan that Mere Humnasheen was a little different- I feel Diyar e Dil did a great job not showing trigger happiness. Lastly I’m 200% with Aamna on Mannat Murad- there’s nothing different about it but the breakdown of conversations to the Saas bahu drama- that too not fairly handled. I felt Murad would apologize to Mannat but no- he’s crying about how it’s unacceptable he was slapped back. No one is talking or taking any action. Murad has double standards for his wife and family then he needs to find the perfect daughter in law that will do as she says for his fam without saying a word. The episodes were wasted with flashbacks. Mannat had the red flags, she ignored them but she has no reason to stick around especially after Murad making it about himself and not being sorry. She’s better off without him.

I feel sad for MJ. Zaid brought her the middle of him and Ayra. After he showed attitude to her. He doesn't feel sorry for that. He knows very well how much she is scared of divorce he blackmails her for his second marriage. For Ayra he is telling his and MJ's marriage is a contract marriage. How could he make that big decision alone? Which sensible girl married that person after all that happened to her family? That one is also a married person.

khai: I absolutely loves the romance between osama and dure. They are so soo cute together and personally it was a good watch. The cinematography and execution were almost flawless.

Its not subjective. Its about glorification. If bad act is shown in bad way to make audience think and question, then all good. But if bad act is shown as heroic act with grand background music, its controversial.

Hassan completely loses the point or is incapable to differentiate between a story of an emotionally/physically abusive relationship and a glorification of such relationships in a story. The stories like "animal" are frivolous and dismissive in their treatment of such relationships and justify these actions by a mere sorry or realization on the main protagonist part. It failed to show the real ramifications of such vile actions. Where as "khusboo mein likhe khat" is a nuanced commentary on emotionally abusive and exploitative relationships There is no comparison between the treatment of the both stories. Why is it so difficult to understand? And even if you say that these movies are made for the adults who are capable of differentiating between wrong and right. Even then, don't you think adults liking such movies is a bit concerning and speaks volumes about their thinking?

khaie: its disgusting and inappropriate in many levels . Pakhtuns are not violent and illiterates like shown in many dramas. people of swat especially women are very empowered and educated. non pakhtuns actors are faking accents , seems like mocking us.

With all the death and destruction happening in the world (Palestine) I was so triggered by Khai’s second episode, why they had to kill everyone in the family! Atleast let one brother live. I’m not watching this nonsense. I’m so put off by this show.

Zero chemistry between Ayza and Wahaj in drama mein

I am glad that they are finally showing stories and characters from different areas of Pakistan like in Jindo or the northern areas but yes they are portraying stereotypes only. There are so many other things, customs that aren’t violent, issues that aren’t gun or revenge related. Why don’t we see those stories? It’s just like when angrez portray Pakistani characters in books as terrorists. Another thing I notice and have an issue with is that while we are finally showing Pathans other than as chokidaars and rickshaw drivers, we are still not giving any representation to our people from Balochistan.

Plz stop stereotyping pashtoons. Secondly yes most of us having accent while speaking urdu but it doesn’t mean that the media have the license of making mockery of our accent because the execution is no good it’s look like ther are making mockery of us

Asalamoalaikum pyare hassan and Amna ji,im pashton and the dramas are based on the true cultural stories.i heard and saw both things happend in my family living in villages .My cousin couldnt marry anyone becoz of Ghag *sange mah*drama based on the same storyline and now khai.My Aunts daughter ,grand child , husband and many others were killed by the other qabila at the same time and it has no ending till the one party giveup.But now a days Alhamdulillah the new Generation are much more aware and educated and i didnt witness or heard such things anymore.

I am from north and we are very progressive people. Many of my friends are persuing their studies from abroad including myself from EU. There are too many inspiring stories. We never saw a real gun in our real life.

I am quite sure ...MEIN will not lead to any romantic or start of love story... When the teasers nd trailers were released i was sure it not gonna be love story Song ,the lyrics can even make sense to it The story only revolves around their MEIN , ana ,ego clashes and soon they realised it move ahead bash their ego and happy without each other Even i think zaid will realise that his decision to marry ayra was unfortunate nd cit down his ties with her .. And even mj also what she is doing to get her husband back her ego is there despite be calm , nd completely changed behaviour just because she want him back doesn't give her long way she realise it

#Khae: Just one word - "MARVELOUS"! I was already hyped up because of the promos, and it actually lived up to its hype. Before discussing the story or performances, I have to take a moment to talk about the production quality - it was INSANE! The breathtaking views of our beautiful country, ahhh!!! Every scene looked like a watercolor painting. Coming to the storyline, I know a lot of people might be rolling their eyes, thinking they are stereotyping Pakhtoons, too much violence, and this and that. I would like to disagree. Please give some room to our creators to experiment and introduce different genres. The story makes sense according to the world they have created. They have not shown all of them to be trigger-happy and violent. Zamdaa's family and her fiance are also from the same village, but they are sensible, educated people. They have actually highlighted the issue of how lack of education can lead to such barbarism. Lastly, the performances! Oh my GOD! A huge shout out to Khalid Butt, who plays the character of Duraab Khan. MEN, did he deliver! The barbaric and ruthless nature of his character mixed with the right amount of humor makes for such an amazing performance; he grabbed my attention every time he came on screen. The same goes for Faisal Qureshi. Yeah, this man might do similar sorts of characters, but he is damn good at doing that. Plus, he always puts so much effort to change his look for every character that he plays. Durre was also great, even though her character didn't have much to do yet, but I am sure in the upcoming episodes, we will surely get to see more of her. Everyone was great; all the supporting actors did their best. I genuinely hope the audience connects with it so we can see more of such dramas.

However, what makes this drama not inherently bad despite portraying such a character is that this behavior is intentionally woven into the character's personality. If a drama normalizes abuse in the name of love or societal norms, then it deserves criticism. Take, for instance, Mannat Murad, who, despite his actions, is portrayed as someone still in love with Murad, appearing almost like a cry-baby. This reflects poor storytelling and execution. Ahmed Zaryab, on the other hand, is a negative character. Regardless of Adnan Siddiqui's charming portrayal, it's important to note that neither the audience nor the drama writer endorses such behavior. The women in the drama who seem enamored by him are likely only aware of one side of his character.

I watched Mannat Murad only due to the hype created online by fans. Such a migraine inducing drama! Kyun dekh rha hai koi bhi 😅

This protection scene happened to us in 2019, we had to cancel and then re-book our seats as we had to get this paper-work done. It was so challenging and stressful for us. Even in our case, the staff at the airport counter asked us for the protection and we were shocked.

I religiously hated the process of getting the so called “Protector” on my passport the first time I went to the UK for work. Nobody other than my work colleagues in KHI told me about it. When I moved to Australia, I made sure to come back to UK and then fly out from there, after a few days, just to avoid this “zalalat” when flying out from Pakistan, bcuz when you switch countries they make you change it. Oh and btw they ask Aus permanent residents for PR cards and cannot comprehend the concept of paperless PR visas. Need to spare atleast 15mins to educate them about it, so that they can stop asking for a “green card”. Short answer to your qs Aamna Ji, “the useless piece of paper is nothing more than a scam to rip off overseas Pakistanis.”

I am watching K drama Partners for Justice, and in front of that our drama Serial killer looks so bad and sloppy. The k drama has such advanced murder investigation through forensic and autopsy combined with prosecutor investigation. We are in the cave age , it seems in our investigations 😅 K drama PFJ keeps you on the edge and is so interesting and enthralling.

Feel really bad for Amna. I have made multiple trips on H1 B visa and got the stamp from the American embassy and never had to show any letter at pakistan airport. I always travelled from Islamabad.
