It isn’t a surprise to anyone who realises the entangled history of Russia with its neighbours, that Russia holds a lot of influence within so many countries and territories - political, ideological and cultural. We hear the term “pro-Russian” everywhere so it is clear that Ukraine is fighting Russia within its own cities along with the invading army. The ease with which Russia has been able to usurp elected officials indicates a long held practice of supplanting Russian-allied people and rigorously Russiafying areas. Many politicians and officials have come through the Soviet-era days. One of the huge advantages and necessities of these countries becoming more open and democratic is the cleaning out of the old brigade. Traitors are like looters in my opinion. The lowest of the low, taking advantage and disregarding the consequences to those they have acted against. Pro-Russians should just move back to the motherland. The real problem is the supremacist attitude of ethnic Russians towards other ethnicities.
@masondegaulle5731
@masondegaulle5731 Год назад
Russia has a long history of filtering "populace" into neighbouring regions, I expect the trust chain in Ukraine upper echelons is very short. The irony of Russia's supremacist attitude is it's exactly what has held them back, and lost them so many wars they should have won handily throughout history. So assured of their own greatness, they fail to recognise their nation is being run as a criminal enterprise and their GDP should be at least ten times what it has been. Starting to think Russian mentality will cause Russia to be a thuggish aggressive brute until the end.

Corruption is not just in ukraine but all over the world. Taiwan is likely to be sold to China by traitors bribed by China. China has 2 main parties. One of them is now the opposition party called, "China KMT" literally translated. The name itself is laughable. But hints its ideology which is pro China. So pro it has China as part of its name. A Taiwan party with the word "China". China need not spend on a war and just bribe this party and fund its election campaigns. Taiwanese are used to being bribed to vote for politicians. So to win seats this way is very easy if well funded. HK parliament comprised mainly pro China politicians. This is how to rule Chinese states. I Predict this is how Taiwan will be ruled by China. At least 10% Taiwanese are pro China just like there are pro Russia Ukrainians betraying Ukraine.

Understandable. Thank you for another great Times Radio interview, brief it is!! There is definitely qualification needed around the words ‘traitors’ and ‘treachery’, - appears the two fired oversee large units of people and his is also a move of ‘good faith’. That they are showing even if those on the ground in southern provinces, Mayors and the like have been unsure of how to behave in the best of Ukrainian interests, when they’ve previously had connected relationships with Russia. A clean out tells the allies of Ukraine they are willing to do what it takes to attack Russia. If there was so much corruption, maybe appointing a close and TRUSTED friend was the only safe bet for that particularly nevralgic position. The man himself wasn't accused of treason. Just of not being able to control his own people. Mostly lack of experience. Her, I have no idea. But it also talked about staff shifting alliance. You gotta be a realist about this. Most people prefer life over loyalty. Its basic survival instinct, like fear, it's hard to override for the majority. Collaboration was always going to be the issue there. First days of the war Germans could get away with saying outrageous stuff about fall of Ukraine because everyone thought it was just going to be a mess of collaboration and ineptitude like invasion of Crimea was. Things have demonstrably changed since then but split loyalties are and will likely remain as a serious factor to consider in any and all decision making. Much less so now as Russian sympathizers may wake up one day with a knife in their eye. As it should be.

The first bit is to introduce and hook the listener, then some kind of sponsors ad follows, then the full program from start (including the intro) to finish. When uploaded to RU-vid, the ad is cut out and RU-vid only allows its own ads to run on videos.

@@evolassunglasses4673 What's the point? Is Putin going to pay for the infrastructure damage his invasion has caused? Are Russian forces going to withdraw completely from Ukraine and sign an agreement allowing Ukraine to choose their own path? Is Putin going to return all of the people he removed to Russia as hostages? The answer to all of them is going to be no so what is the point of negotaitions with Russia when everybody know what that means is agreeing with Russia or else.....! If the Ukrainians want to fight the free world should enable them to do so and continue to look for Russia making errors to enable the Western powers to get involved directly. That's the only negotiations Putin will respond to. He want war (though he won't call it that) give it him until Russia squeaks from the pain of it.

This is the reason that most conservatives are weary of helping Ukraine… Corruption and betrayal of your own is not a good look during wartime. I myself have supported Ukraine since February 24th, but others don’t because of past scandals and active interference in our election process. I just hope this war weeds out the corruption and unsavory individuals and Ukraine emerges as a proper democracy, be nice to see them become a constitutional republic.

That's why Ukraine knows it *can't* grow and succeed unless it joins the EU, or else it'll always be regarded and used as a vassal state by Russia. A Bulgarian friend of mine was telling me in detail how the EU has done remarkable work in building his country's institutions so that they can withstand being seized by corrupt officials looking to line theirs, their family's and their mate's/home district's pockets. It takes a lot of time, esp in Bulgaria which was completely infiltrated by local mafia rackets and was considered the worst for corruption in all the EU. It has slowly but steadily risen up the anti-corruption index and it's being weeded out. Ukraine wants to go through that process too, it has ambitions. Ambitions that Russia just cannot accept.

The implications for Russia are more consequential. If Russia conquered the area in the south with help from traitors, mines for example were moved from bridges that would have stopped the Russian armies, their army was beaten before Kyiv, and the areas in the East were already partly held by Russian and Ukrainian forces identifying with Russia, then the Russian army truly conquered nothing.
