There is one question. When vision was killed by Wanda in order to protect the mind stone, Thanos came there and reversed the time on vision and took out his mind stone. Now the question is when Mantis made Thanos asleep and other Avengers/Guardians were trying to take out the gauntlet from his hand and Starlord made a silly mistake and Thanos was awake again. Why didnt Dr Strange stopped the time or reversed the time there only to give it another go while taking out the gauntlet?

I think portal can't work on Thanos because Thanos can also open portals and travel to any planet using space stone. So even if Dr. Strange tries to entangled him into the portal then Thanos woud have simply used his space stone to freeze the portal (They could've shown in the movie) just like during battle with Dr. Strange, Thanos easily tackled the crystal wall of Dr. Strange.

Bro, as long as I have read, one infinity stone can cancel the effect of another infinity stone. If strange would have used time stone against thanos he would have been able to cancel the effect of other infinity stone. Remember this is the reason why thanos gave mind stone to loki in order to get space stone

*Time stone* - this is the one people over estimate because Dr. Strange had it - and they want to use it as a magical solution to evade all of the films consequences. At its most powerful the time stone grants you control over all of time for the entire Universe - basically you are *eternity.* However on its own - the time stone is not capable of altering time for the Entire Universe (requires space stone) or of every reality ( requires reality stone). There are two great examples of the use of the time stone in Infinity War- > when Thanos uses it on Vision, and when Dr. Strange uses it to see each possible of *his* futures until his death. When Thanos reverses time on the object - *Vision* it caused Vision and those things directly related to his chronology to reverse in time in the opposite order in which they occurred. The end result of this is that reversing time on Vision causes the mind stone to reassemble and reappear on his skull - where it originally was. The funny thing is - ever since HiShe for Endgame - many want Dr. Strange to turn back time on Stark to make him alive again. In fact they have *already seen* the reason why *this won’t work.* Just like turning back time on Vision must return the mind stone to him, turning back time on the dead Tony Stark returns the time stone to him. At this point Dr. Strange does not have the time stone - Tony does. And he’s still dead. There is deeper logic here that is also missed because time vexes so many in this film -> *The reason Thanos uses all 6 stones to snap - is to make the action irreversible.* You can’t take the time stone and reverse a snap - because when the snap occurred -> *you don’t have control of time* , the person with the time stone does. You need to overwrite history [that’s what Hulk does] with all the stones to alter the results of a snap. You can’t reverse it - because you don’t control it at the time of the snap to begin with. The logic is clear - not sure why so many have a hard time following it. The 2nd Great use of the time stone is when Dr. Strange goes forward to see 14 million futures. From Dr. Strange’s perspective - he has to live each of these futures, in the astral plane. Then he dies and starts over. From our Universes perspective *nothing happens* except Dr. Strange freaks out for a few moments - and that is what we see in the film. Dr. Strange doesn’t see past his death. In the 5 years of being snapped there is oblivion and Strange sees nothing. But he does see the one future where he is revived by the Hulk, and then Iron Man wipes Thanos from reality with this snap. Dr Strange then takes action to make this vision of the future the most likely actual outcome. This includes - among likely many other things we can’t know - > letting Iron Man try and fail to get the Gauntlet from Thanos, and willingly giving up the Time Stone in exchange for sparing Iron Man’s life. The time stone is powerful - but it was never able to solve the problems of the heroes in any other way. You can’t reverse time for the whole Universe for example - If Strange could do that, then he would have reversed the course of events at the *beginning* of Infinity War - for instance. Time stone achieves true Eternity - only when all the other stones are present.

One Infinity stone trumps another, so Thanos has 4 so he may have withstood that change. The question is not of the time-loop but that Strange could have reversed the time to the point where Thanos has no stones and then fight him. They had him captive for a minute while they were trying to remove the gauntlet.

What doctor strange really saw in his predictions

Dr. Strange readily offers to give Thanos the Time Stone in exchange for Stark's life, without even being prompted, or coerced to do so. Why did Dr. Strange so willingly give up the Time Stone he very explicitly stated he had sworn to give his life to protect? Because Doctor Strange saw the futures.

But in the endgame Thanos could easily take on the Ironman..Captain America.. doctor strange and all others even without the stones..HOW?..
