I only used one mod pack for the Sims 3 and that was nraas mods. Otherwise, it was just CC to make my sims a bit more pleasing to the eyes and I'd just take off!
I agree, just saying looking at this i wonder why i even started t buy sims 4 it sucks **s compared to the sims 3 I think i might not support sims 4 anymore... with everything happening lately in the S4 place it feels like the only thing they want is money... im so dissapointed in them
I'm still playing The Sims 3, I've been playing it for 8 years at least and I am still learning new stuff that can happen in this game. It truely is THE BEST! TS4 can only dream.
I remember eagerly waiting for Sims 3 to release. I came back from school and I found it released. Since 2009 I was waiting for every expansion pack as for something exciting. Years passed and I still can't play Sims 4 for more then a few hours. I doubt I'm gonna buy anything from Sims 4, unless it's Sims 5 :D
I literally only started playing TS4 because it was free at some point so why not. I love how smoothly it runs, but I really miss a lot of TS3 gameplay
So true. In my opinion ts3 is the best version in every way. Town map, easy to build houses (my favourite bit) [stairs of into distance. Remembering] and custom design everything.
@@Madison-iv8gn as someone who has been a part of the sims community since around 2006 (and especially active in the sims 2 era), I've seen it all haha :D Tbh the complaints were always there and many players voiced their frustration with EA a lot - one particular instance that comes to mind is the introduction of stuff packs - but looking back, there was so much good content introduced and overall the games had soul. I don't play anymore (although... never say never) and now I only watch simmer youtubers' content, but not because of the game they play but because of their personalities. The sims 4 feels empty and "cash grabby" even for an observer.
i wish sims 4 had the details like sims 3. sims 3 was SO FUN!! but honestly sims 4 runs so smoothly with custom content and the sims are adorable :( i wish they would add details from the sims 3 to the sims 4
Sims 4 runs smoothly because there's NOTHING to do really. It's a very empty game. The Sims 3 has to simulate an entire town with hundreds of Sims. It's also sad that it was made for 32 bit systems, because it would run so much better if it was made with modern technology for 64 bit PCs.
@@NawiTheCore Exactly. A lot of the issues, besides it being 32 bit, came down to routing problems (gaps in the world where Sims would get trapped/vanish, this includes houseboats which is why I think NPCs living in them was an issue) and for some insane reason a high amount of patterns. Supposedly Sims 4 is built off Sims 3 which is why the devs keep adding in fewer and fewer lots and the lack of an open world is to cut down on the routing issues (but given that the neighborhoods are open world, you can see it's possible to do in Sims 4, they just don't want to do that.)
imagine: a new sims game, runs as good as the sims 4, the sims looks like they do in the sims 4, the open world as the sims 3, all the sims 3 fun quirks, and the drama factor from the sims 2 that game would be epic
My favorite thing about Sims 3 was that you could actually carry your baby around and buy cute cribs instead of bassinets. Plus, in the Sims 3 when you adopt a baby they will be brought in a baby carrier by a social worker instead of them appearing in a bassinet in your house.
Honestly, I'd rather wait 10 minutes in the main loading screen of TS3 instead of enduring several minute long loading screens everytime I try to go somewhere in TS4.
@@D0MiN0ChAn Same, honestly with all the cc I have and the slow laptop the loading screen normally takes around ten minutes at max jus to go somewhere. That's why my sims never leave their house 😂
I only got the sims 3 last year. Anyway a burglar came to my house and I called the police after he'd gone like an idiot and because I wasted police time they were going to fine me, only I didn't have enough money so they stole my toilet. I ended up having both my shower and toilet stolen on the same day 😅
Sounds like your typical cops - thieving gits!' I like when a burglar hits the home of one of my martial art sims and gets his arse handed to him. Or if there's a genie in the house and they just banish him outta there. The best though are witches and fairies; now they REALLY know how to make burglars consider a new profession. :-D
Omg this happed to me like 2 yeares ago there was a robber in my house and i used my child sim to call the police and got fined and i also didn't have enough money lmao
I feel like the Sims 4 treats it’s community like a “transparent” joke at this point. They pride themselves on transparency with their community. They watch these videos on what we want and ask for.. but yet? -.- I’ll only forgive them when I can have farm animals for my sims. 💔☠️💔
The Insane trait in ts3 is one of my favorites. Your Sims will literally do just whatever they want. I have a celebrity Sim that goes to dive bars in a speedo just because he feels like it. I also have a Proper Sim that changes into her formal clothing every chance she gets, even if her everyday outfit is plenty proper. It's just those little things that make your Sims feel like real, living people instead ts4's feel of just playing with blank, lifeless dolls.
I used to say "ok maybe people exaggerate when they complain so much about the Sims 4" but then...then you see these things and you're like ok no they're right
Just started to this week (on the day that Star Wars pack came out even) and it's so much more fun, a real time-waster. I used to play the Sims for hours, but not with Sims 4. Now I need to pull myself away from Sims 3 again, as it should be.
@@katgrace8834 and long ass time... look u guys need to stfu and be grateful that e even had a thing to play on or a game smh Back then there Was a game called snakes and it as the first game ever 😑
Sims 3 crashes on me when I try to make more than one Sim in Create a Sim and sometimes when I play for a long period of time (save often as a result). Sims 3 is fun, but damn is it poorly optimized and unstable. Still loads better than what 4 has to offer.
its extremely depressing when babies in the sims 4 are more of objects than minor pets in sims 3. i have a snake, minah, and a turtle, scooby, and i can do more with them than i could do w my baby 🤦🏻♀️
I remember the sims being able to carry their smaller pets (Birds, rodents, reptiles etc) because I once made a witch sim who had a parrot or some kind of parakeet as her familiar and her daughter had a squirrel as her familiar.
I once had a mod that made meteors more likely,, I accidentally downloaded the 100% more likely instead of 10%.... game? destroyed. EVERY time I booted up a family thered be like, a whole meteor shower and my whole family would die. Id forgotten I downloaded the mod and I had a whole mental breakdown over the course of a few hours before I realized 😂
Mine was their first day at university, outside the comic book store or something. I immediately googled wtf happened and if my sim was actually dead 😂
"Sometimes" misses the mark? Babe, they been missing the mark for 6 years. List of things pets could do in sims 3 Cats could hunt and feed themselves Dogs could bring in papers Both dogs and cats would look out windows Both cats and dogs could lay on the bed (I think) Cats could roll around on carpets and lay on the news paper Cats, dogs and horses had traits that could pass on to their offspring but only if they had 10 in those traits. cats, dogs and horses could "sing" along to the radio. Dogs could get into the trash and drink from the toilet. List of things pets can do in the sims 4 Stand in one spot for days want attention every 5 seconds be afraid of literally *everything*
And in Sims 4 even if you turn autonomy off the sims will constantly cancel what they're doing to go interact with the pet. I had a sim die from hunger because the cats were being cute or whatever
This video just assured me I have been playing the correct game all these years I’ve been playing the sims 3 for about 10-12 years now I think. As soon as the sims 4 came out I was like oh cool then looked into it more and got offended by it
I really loved dragon valley. It was so fun the whole town was dressed properly in medieval clothes and were slightly berry colored and of course dragons 🐉.
i mean the pudding is an easy fix.. the crashes though infuriating sometimes but was better than having to play at 15 fps because the last update just ruined the game.. like i've played about 5 or 6 generations in my LPACY in the sims 3 and have had 1 crash and 1 game breaking bug over all of those generations.. for the sims 4 i have a game breaking bug at least once a sim week.. where as in the sims 3 it's a quick restart and fixed in the sims 4 sometimes it's a bug where you can't save and just restart.. it's dumb how in the sims 4 when a random townie dies near your lot YOUR save option is negated.. where as in the sims 3 this only happened if it was one of YOUR sims.. not some random ass sim that was auto generated by the game you don't GAF about anyways.. it's annoying and i've stopped playing some of my saves because of this bug because every time i restarted and played trough again it would happen again and again
The Sims Drama TV no it’s not there is a chance u gotta open ur eyes to the possibilities and plus if you say that then EA won’t even consider improving the sims4 bcuz they just think that way
The Sims 3 basegame had basically everything you need for Chaos The Sims 4 gave us.. (let's see....don't get me started with the basegame) batuu? Is that a thing?
I love how we are all coming together and talking how much sims 4 is lacking. I would have played sims 3 forever if it could run on my 2012 laptop.... sims 4 works with so many packs installed but still... its lacking. and I find myself not being interested as much... for someone who has played 500 plus hours in the last 4 years... I haven’t touched the game since March.
I bought all the packs when they had the big sale because I thought it would make it exciting to play again.... well it isn’t. I played for 5 minutes yesterday 🙃.
If it is, then I'm weird too. I tried the 48 hour free sample of sims 4 ... I didn't even make it to the 48 hours before I got rid of it. I'm happy sticking with S3 until Paralives gets released; from what I've been seeing so far, that looks like the next real progression from S3. If there is a Sims 5, I'm expecting it to have even less but cost even more and be released unfinished. EA's greed and 'go to hell' attitude toward their customers has got me all for supporting the competition.
@@theworldmayneverknow9667 LOL, in that case you don't know what you've missed out on. I'd say treat yourself and give it a try, but unfortunately, tracking down the base game now is no mean feat and it's ridiculously expensive when you can find one. Even the price of the expansions has gone through the roof.
She has started the midnight sun challenge on her stream channel “Squasha streams”, but I think it’s been pushed back a bit because of ooblets and some other things. Nonetheless, it might help satisfy that Sasha + Sims 3 craving.
one of my favorite things with sims 3 is that you can add your own music in their music folder and play it in the game while playing. for those who didn't know
Tbh sims 3 run really well on my pc, and I liked the sims details like eyelashes and the body types like the leg and arm detail like they looked so real but I agree with the face and hair not a fan! In sims 4 I hate the look of their body funny looking legs I hate the cartoony look but I love the face customisation good in sims 4 which was probably the only thing they focused on! 😣
Me (after playing Sims 3 for 5 hours): Okay, time for a break. :) Wonder if there are any interesting Sims 3 videos posted to RU-vid recently? This video: *posted ten minutes ago* Me: BRUH
When i was younger sims 3 Seasons was my LIFE. It took 10 minutes to 2 hours to load, and sometimes it wouldn't start up so I would have sat there for ages for no reason. Now i have the sims 4 but i don't play it all that much. P.S. I knew like 75% of these little details Edit: Oh ma gawd ive never gotten more than like 6 likes on a comment before, tysm!
Stole your ... damn, I've never seen THAT before! I wonder if could have been a freak glitch? I remember in S2, it wasn't unusual for the nannies to walk off the lot with your babies (I had it happen once) or just abandon them during their shift and I've seen some reports of toddlers being kidnapped off community lots, but that's the first I've heard of it happening in S3. Even now the game is still throwing surprises at us; although to me, that would be more of a shock.
That's why I loved and I will always love the Sims 3 The sims 3 looked really bad with the graphics but that's because they paid more attention to the details while in the Sims 4 they paid more attention to the looks and non attention to the details
build challenge idea: randomize alphabet and a number for every room and write the letters by number in the search bar. you can only use those items for the room
one of the main things I LOVED about Sims 3 that was disappointingly absent in Sims 4 is that you could customize just about EVERYTHING. Idk why they thought it was a good idea to get rid of that for the Sims 4, but okay lol.
Its probably pretty fast now if you have upgraded your computer since. You just need a strong graphics card... so don't put it on a laptop unless it has a separate strong graphics card.
I wouldn't say it runs slow. My laptop (A HP15 Notebook) can run the Sims 3 with all packs and a TON of content from the Store and work fine. Last time I tried to run The Sims 4, said laptop caused a small fire on my desk. Still have the burn marks, but thankfully my laptop was fine.
Watching this made me realize that even though I still own it and loved it, I remember almost nothing from the Sims 3! I would love to see a Sims 3 series!!
the sims 2 and sims 3 are by far my favourite, the sims 4 just lacks so much! I wish it would bring the amazing things the past sims games had into it.. it would be amazing!
I love the sims 3. It is probably the best version. (I never bothered with the sims 4 after i tried a demo), i don’t understand why people have problems running the game. I maxed out the graphics and it runs perfectly well on my laptop. And loads in about 30 seconds.
How did we go backwards? We’re so deprived of normal things in the sims four (like rain dripping off of the roof!?) that we would literally pay 20 dollars to get some of these details that just came with the game.
Sasha: "I'm not neurotic!" Also Sasha: * Starts listing things people who are neurotic do calls herself paranoid another thing associated with being neurotic* (It's ok I'm the same way lol)
Sims 3 > Sims 4. I'll take the slow load up times and the somewhat laggy open world and the customization feature over the Sims 4 barren world and lack of story progression any day.
If you want to play The Sims 3, you should download my Starter Pack. It has modified game files so the game recognizes modern hardware and some mods and default replacements. Look for it on The Sims Reddit (title of the post is: "PSA: The Sims 3 Starter Pack (GraphicsRules files + Essential Mods)."
I remember absolutely freaking out when the burglar first came to my lot but once I knew what it was I found it added to the game Also vampire toddlers 😂
I just went back to playing TS3 (I gave up on TS4) and I love the detail of TS3. It feels like you’re really in this world. I love the music and background noise that plays when you’re on a lot. Like when your sim is on the diner lot you can hear patrons chatting and dinner wear clinking.
I miss soo much about the sims 3. I remember when 4 first came out i was still playing 3 cuz i had all the expansion packs and 4 had none yet. I miss the baby strollers. I wish they'd do that. And i dont see a changing table. The baby stuff was so great.
Would you consider doing a Sims 3 let’s play? I’d be interested in seeing if it’s something like to buy and your LPs are my favorite. I’m someone who came into the game at generation 4 so I’m aware there’s a lot I missed.
For me, Sims 2 will always be my no. 1. When I started the Sims 3 I did enjoy the new features of the game but I just couldn't get passed the design of the game like the actual sims were awful. I never really found myself getting into it as much as I did with TS2 (the lags didn't help its case either). I actually started playing TS2 again the other day after I don't know how many years. Obviously, it has its drawbacks one thing you can say about TS4 is that the build tools and controls are very good. But as I was building I forgot about the sheer amount of clutter items and how you could paint the roof ends with various materials etc. Ideally what TS4 needs is a pack that has all the build and buy stuff from TS2 and another for TS3. Then a massive update in gameplay. I mostly build on TS4 whereas I actually played the game in TS2 and stuck with families for generations because I could always find something else to do that wasn't repetitive like when you go on holiday and there are tons of little achievements and tasks that you can do which sometimes you could spread out over a couple of holidays to that same place which enticed you to keep going. It would also be nice to have multi-level foundations in the game along with a proper pond tool that doesn't work to the grid. And also obviously a lot of people want the colour wheel again but that was one of the features that caused so much hassle for TS3 so if we could at least have the customisation tool from TS2 that would be great. Unfortunately, I can't see this happening with TS4, not at the rate that EA is churning out unfinished packs. I just don't think the teams getting given enough time or resources to work on these things which is really sad because it's showing in the content they're producing. The team is very talented and they do love the game but something has gone wrong in the planning and managerial departments probably before TS3 was even finished and it's built up to where we are now and it's not looking good. I really hope they pull it out of the bag for the next packs and that when TS5 does come that they make the changes that are desperately needed otherwise people will just stop playing. Paralives looks like it will end up being proper competition for them and It just may well give EA a kick in the right direction. If you think about the sims doesn't really have another game to contend with for over 20 years it's literally been at the top of its game when it came to life simulation but other games are popping up now that have an audience before they're even out they don't need to create one its already there and it just so happens that that audience's game isn't fulfilling their needs anymore. Paralives may well be an indi game but I think EA should watch their backs it just might well be the underdog that comes out on top.
I played one family for a while, got the mom to the police chief. Then I switch to another family, and the son of that family befriended the daughter of police chief. Through his encounters with that family, he wanted to become an international super spy. He later grew to date daughter of the police chief, and then joined the Law Enforcement career as an adult Both his BOSS and his PARTNER was his girlfriends mom. He then got promoted really fast because his Boss Relationship and Partner Relationship stats were really high. And I just couldn't contain my joy. I loved it so much.
I loved the roasting food option! When I had my sim travel during her World Adventure trips, I'd keep veggies in her inventory and just have her catch a fish for dinner and roast it with the veggies. In Sims 4 anytime I try to have my sim roast a hot dog or marshmallow the animation cuts out and cancels the action -_-
