As a viewer of yeats upcoming when he was dropping and only had 10kfollowers I knew he was finna secure his spot no hesitation it was too different when he dropped sorry bout dat
Another thing you forgot to mention - they REALLY suck at networking first mainstream ft if I remember correctly the Summrs had was Trippie Redd. They should really get out there more. Although Summrs latest album isn’t getting the love it deserves, it’s a really solid project with good bars unique beats and he definitely mastered and remastered his plugnb sound on it
i feel like y'all care more about these rappers going mainstream then they do themselves, they easily making over 10k a month and their famous enough but not too famous to the point where going outside is uncomfortable. it's the perfect middle ground, and im sure they do wanna go mainstream but it's obviously a lot of work. underground rap fans view it more as a competition than they do as a subgenre of rap music, just let people make music and be whatever level of relevancy they are/wanna be
@@abduly on god bro, these rap pages and youtubers be making it as if it's like a race to the top and shit instead of a art. people don't treat painting or sculpting like it's a race so why they treat music like this? and it's only in rap music i never seen a mf making indie music and all the fans saying "you fell off" or "he still stuck in the underground" they just enjoy the music and stfu and let them be whatever level of fame they are
Imo Autumn getting into beef with his peers is prob what held him back the most. Him and Yeat were a killer combo, and I think he would've gotten a lot more feature opportunities/ industry support if he didnt beef for no reason.
It’s not really all about going mainstream though.doing what u want as a passion forever is a blessing .shit u already made it if u ask me. Id rather be recognized than too famous
Lowkey they did go mainstream, in terms of name recognition in rap music I feel like people know about the group, commercial numbers are different but they have viral hits (edit) not to mention yeat is a product of the early slay co-sign
@@ssj4goten819 but let’s be real we was bored in 2020 so we boosted yeat tf up cuz bro wouldn’t have blown up this year in 2024 the way it is nowadays.
I said it before and I’ll say it again b4 watching. Slayworld and Professional Smash Players have one thing in common: because they dropped out of high school, they mentally in high school. Autumn flying out 15 year olds is normal for him because mentally he like 17. Summrs 14 mentally. Kan starting to grow up a little so he’s 19. Do you see the problem? Compared to Yeat, who was acting like his age, now it makes sense as to why he blew up. All the BULLSHIT Slayworld chose to do with all the allegations, EVEN IF THEY WERENT TRUE, ruined their image. It’s why Ameer was kicked outta Brockhampton. Because if one domino falls, all of em do. And that’s something yeat saw and acted accordingly. Slay chose to fuck around with BULLSHIT instead of FOCUSING. And now all of them aren’t as good anymore. The only one who is constantly making quality music is surprisingly Kankan. GC3 was actually peak and then Midnight Club happened. Summrs had the worse 2023 ever, and then a meh 2022. Kan hasn’t dropped since 2022 and he’s not rushing out music, which is good.
@@gl0boychuck I agree but how was 2022 meh? Summrs tbh should’ve dropped stuck in my ways 2, doubling down on his view n styles he had on stuck in my ways and then he would’ve been beloved for that
Lowkey a W point I be thinking autumn summrs and them are in their teens whole time they all atleast 23. Shits crazy, this would lowkey explain how they act
I think it's a combination of many things. Their combined allegations/ weird behavior, their voices not really being the greatest overall, and the sound they created got so saturated that it was hard for anyone doing Pluggnb to really make waves outside of the underground. It's fire and I personally like all their music, but the sound got outplayed fast and Rage quickly overtook it in terms of intrigue and popularity. We're seeing more mainstream artist like Lil Tecca adapt the sound into a more mainstream capacity, and we're also seeing Rage kind of fall off, so maybe it'll catch on more in the future, but for rn it seems like their desire to remain underground (like Summrs declining XXL), their lack of willingness to work with mainstream artist (whether its by choice or not), and their reputations will keep it low key for years to come as well as all of them as a whole. (Again, I love Pluggnb and think they are all fire)
i feel that them getting into controversial situations never really helped their brand, autumn had his p word allegations, stealin clothes, fakin mugshots at what now. and i agree with what you said about summrs, nothing more nothing less is proof that pluggnb was made for him, his albums GHOST and Stuck in my ways were not really him and what we didnt have was him trying to rebuild his plugg sound but the damage was done already.
All of them are technically terrible at rapping. The reason yeat blew up was because his music was super catchy and he actually has BARS. To me none of them sound good compared to yeat their music gets so boring and repetitive/annoying to listen to
Summrs take was horrible tbh he has 5 songs that are “youngboy/louisiana” style and none of them are even released by him on his pages their on his friends pages or leaks 😭that doesn’t contribute to why he isn’t mainstream whatsoever
gattsu was my favourtie youtube becasue he made similar content to you before switching over to talk about europe and i lost interest. thankl you for making these videos
I feel like if you make enough money to support the lifestyle you want then there’s nun wrong with staying underground I would like to be in the middle to . Like not famous but still have a decent fan base that run my shi up and make money 🤷🏾💯
Yo great video broski nice transitions especially the Y-axis movement at 8:05 and & yo at 12:20 how did you friend get the pack punch did he get it from the fridge at the beginning?
Kankan is hard bro and his fan base legit I think he can still go mainstream if he start dropping consistently. I think you downplaying how many hits he’s had also with the 2 million listeners, goin to hell woke up and nun to me really did reach a lot of people. He just has to evolve his sound the same way yeat did hopefully that’s what he doin n why he not dropping
Thats not important, you know how many rappers big wit crazy allegations rn, he dated bk at 17 yuh, but the girl he was wit recently lied sb her age so peopem drc they meme it alot tho.
Give examples of songs, how can i understand what are you talking bout if i didnt listen to whole fuckin summrs catalog, just 5 seconds for each song would be so much better
its really a mindset issue tbh Autumn can still got mainstream tbh, kan and summrs are jus too inconsistent, Goonie is a part time rapper, and izaya is mentally ill soo yeah… i wish autumn committed to becomig mainstream more, idk why he just gave up...
I knew I wasn't the only one feeling this way Lmaoooo I remember listening to Summrs' "Revival" project 2 years ago. Though, it's a pretty nice album to me, I had to take a break after every 3-5 songs & listen to something else before going back. 😂
Kan kan seems to be in high demand right now so yea if he drops consistently and creates a good roll out for his album then yes and go on tour and do songs wit mainstream n*ggas he could make it
