Batteries not included (pun on the movie) is most likely due to the restrictions imposed by Royal Mail, batteries are on the prohibited and restricted list of items permissible. To send batteries in the post they need to be in their own separate clearly labled and padded packaging. I'd guess its easier for Accurascale to post out models without batteries, regardless of the carrier they use, as they would have to send each model and its batteries in separate shipments to meet Royal Mails rules.
Hi Craig. An excellent job of weathering on the TT:120 Gronks; well done! I do like the nuclear wagons but oh my, 75 quid is a bit much pal, especially when you consider that parts can break off when being handled. 55 quid is my highest offer so best wait for when 2nd hand ones become available. As for the fuel tanks, a good idea that in cutting off the ends and joining them together. It will be interesting to see the outcome when you attempt to hide the join. I use Milliput as I find it very flexible and perfect for those kind of jobs. Paul. 👍❤️
Hi Craig Liking the 3 weathered Gronks, a wall of locos's - yes I did that many years ago, I used to cut up railway mags for the photos and stick them on the wall. Unfortunatly had to move a few years later and had to pull them all off again 🙁, (all ripped off). The Nuclear Flasks look like great models but a bit too new for my era but if the N gauge ones are a reasonable price, you never know. Re the Tanks, they should fit together well enough, you could some filler to hide the join, Mr Dissolved Putty (by Mr Hobby) liquid putty, might work? Happy Shunting.
Good video like always mate, great to see the progress of your layout too. Regarding th lack of batteries, I think that's due to new legislations regarding shipping of products in containers that contain batteries. Hornby's 2nd batch of 4 and 6 wheel coaches had no lighting in them I believe for the same reason.
Hi, great honest review, I had a few issues with mine, Accurascale sorted them out once I contacted them, these wagons are the best on the market, it’s a shame they chose the batteries they did! Thanks for sharing.
I bought the FNA-D wagons and they are great but was very nervous attempting to fit the batteries. It's not something I want to do very often. I noticed you had the Accurascale PTA wagons. Currently they are sold out but I am hoping they will do another run of them. I was just wondering what you thought of them and how they stood the test of time? You mentioned them briefly in this weeks post.
They're great to be fair but the buffer valances do tend to fall off, a tiny dab of glue helps keep them in place though 😊 I have a rake of 5, all weathered up in the orange and gray, I could be persuaded to part with them if you're interested?😊
Looking good , oh your a Prisoner fan ? Want to visit there at some point as the charity shop I help out at gets stuff from there sometimes, and what number are you ?? 😂lol
Hi Stephen. I bought mine directly from Accurascale. They advised me when they my wagons that the wand was out of stock so they were waiting for them to come back into stock and would send it by post. I've had my wagons just over a week and received the wand by post yesterday with no extra charge. If you ordered yours directly from Accurascale get in touch with them as they should send one out to you. Not sure how they are handling it when ordered from 3rd parties.
