The last row there's often a corner so you hit your head on it if you're tall. Does that count? Or the emergency exit seats - you get a foot of extra leg room. Does that count?
He just means the most desirable, in economy class they would be the emergency exit rows fallowed by isle and then window seats. With seats closer to the front of the plane always being preferred to seats further back though this matters less in economy these days since most flights don’t include meals in the price of the economy ticket.
I’ve only flown it once when I was 6 because my dads work flew me and my dad and mom out for something all I remember is getting ice cream and lots of apple juice
The last rows are always next to the lavatories on the business class flights I’ve been to, so there are people passing constantly as well as the flushing noise. Don’t feel like I would enjoy that so I’m avoiding those seats like the plague.
The last row is where people stand in line for the washroom. So you often have people standing over. Plus the noise of the toilet doors opening and closing. I prefer the middle for this reason. (Front row you are close to the attendants prepping food, also noisy)
@@lililil4222Huh? Who told you this? 😭 Business class need to use the toilet too. They’re not gonna keep their pee in for 20 hours. Yes there are usually no queues.
I was flying long haul on an unnamed airlines once and selected the last row of business class seat and before takeoff the flight attendant came to me and said "Sir we have empty seats in the front, would you like to move up so the Economy passengers don't bother you" but flying business for the first time I understood the peasants and royalty concept 😂
HARD NO. I felt so sorry for the business class people in the last row of the last two Emirates flights I was on. Only a curtain between them and economy and the babies go in that first row of economy… guess who suffers through that the whole flight? Yep the business class back row.
I’ve typically flown business class on Emirates. I hate the last row because you are close to the galley where people go and stand around the bar or have to walk to go to the bathroom. That same issue may apply to the front area as well but the first class cabins have privacy doors so they don’t care. On my return trip from Maldives to Dubai airport and then to New York City, that last row was hell for a couple who not only didn’t get to sit next to each other, but we’re near the galley and separated by the aisle.
I had the same thought and so specifically booked an end row seat with Qatar but the first thing I didn’t like was the long long line of economy passengers who had to file past this seat (maybe not the case with other airlines where business is completely left and economy right. It just made the usually relaxing welcome drink part of the flight not so enjoyable. Also found that you are stuck with lots traffic to the bathroom from other passengers in these seats. Another thing to consider is that the flight attendants are constantly in and out of the storage compartments placed in this area as they prepare service. I tried the end seat just the once and wouldn’t do it again but it was worth trying at least and maybe on other airlines or airplane models it wouldn’t have these inconveniences.
I tried this on flights to and from Hawaii. I had 4 flights total. I chose 2 in the front and 2 in the back The last seat was definitely most private! Thank you Dan😊
I sat first row business class on the way to London and it was extremely loud the entire flight and the back row on the way back and it was a much more enjoyable experience.
I've sat in 1A on business class and I loved it, but I've sat in 3 D as well and I noticed it was much quieter and I got a much better sleep, but I didn't notice it until now. This is the best advice I think you've put out! Thank you very much for the insight!
I tend to do that too. 11A on BA's clubworld 787 config. Is the best. On the Queen of the skies it was upper deck 64A. On First, it was 5A. NO TOILETS on those Portside seats 🎉🎉🎉 K seats always seemed to be right in front of the loo.
Love your videos, My Friend! Would you ever consider taking someone along with you on one of your exciting flying adventures? I think that would be a once in a lifetime experience! Cheers!
The front rows are plagued by the flight attendants constantly opening the overhead lockers as that is where they put their stuff. I spent one MiSERABLE night in these seats in business being woken up every 30 minutes or so by them slamming those lockers closed
I often fly BA First and tend to prefer seat 2K for some reason. Seat 1A always seems to be blocked out for Gold BAEC members anyway and it's too close to the galley for my liking. I also prefer to use the business class bathroom too as the 1 toilet in BA F class is what I can only describe as a joke especially if travelling on the Dreamliner.
Noooo!!! I’ve done the last row a few times and they’ve run out of food. While other BC passengers are chowing down on delicious mains, I’m offered a sorry looking cheese plate
I just flew in the last row of Virgins Upper Class and it was a nightmare trying to sleep. The crew were loudly packing away ceramics and kitchen stuff in the premium kitchen area right in the middle of prime sleeping time.
Checkin online.. choose the sit, 48 hours they open before your flight…depending your airline.. last row to be choose is because no preference seat anymore or fully booked..happy flying in business class..😊
Regarding the food... just order ahead, hardly fly biz but the few times in first we always do this and always get what we ordered, same for premium economy.
Middle of business is the best lol. Furthest away from both lavs. People dont make noises when theyre in the aisle, only when closest to the lavs. Also farthest away from the flushes too. Just pray for no crying babies on your flight.
Not sure how true this is these days, but I used to work for one of the major air carriers and eastbound flights served food from the forward of the cabin to the rear and westbound was aft up to forward. Was an easy way to pick what you wanted to eat when you flew
Nah, sounds are an issue… also on wide bodies there is sometimes a compartment in the middle of business that helps with blocking sound from the rear of the plane..
I flew business class one time and sat towards the front (2nd row, center on the aisle). My neighbor across the aisle (window side) took my overhead storage with his bags. His overhead was stuffed with spare pillows. I was so angry about that! A transiting United crew member was seated & flying in row 1 window so I ended up storing my carryon there (thank goodness). This was on a United flight to Munich. Honestly, United’s food is horrible! & Worst service was flying back to Chicago from Europe. The stewards were so bad.
also chance is the last row of business has the best engine view, while if you’re farther up it’s really hard to see much of anything back there. just a personal thing but i prefer having a great view of the engine and wing
This is true if you want some rest. However the last time i sat on the last seat the FAs also did not notice me and it was so hard to get drinks unless I press the call button.
The only time I’d sit in the back is if I’m flying on a plane that makes the actual seat recline back so I don’t disturb the people behind me. If not (like 10% of the time tho) I choose as forward as possible.
Well well well. Booked business class on Emirates a380 and sat on the last row as you said. Tried to sleep like you said and people won't pass by. Oh how wrong you are. Every single passenger ran to the back for the bar. Thanks for your advice
Depends on the plane. A1 on my flight is next to the galley and lav. While I would have be served first, I would also have to listen to FA's talk and do their service as well as have everyone walk and stand next to me for the bathroom.
Bad advice dude!!!..godawful Cattle-class, noisy galley and/or “pissoirs” just behind the curtain!…I ALWAYS book 5-6, 8-9 (window), depending on Qatar, ANA, JAL, Singapore, Emirates or Etihad. Flying Swiss next week on “The Throne” Tokyo/NRT-Zürich👍🇯🇵🇨🇭
Closest seat to the rowdy crowd in economy. Also, you get disturbed by economy class people coming through to the business class bathroom the most. I hate being in the last row.
Im a 1k or 2K kinda person. I just always like sitting on the right side of the plane regardless of what class I am in. Row 1 or 2 depending on if the row 1 has extra wide foot cubby or if row 1 is closer to the aisle or further away. Galley noise never bothers me. I just put my headphones on and hear nothing.
All of this depends on the configuration of the aircraft. I’ve flown business class once because I couldn’t deal with being squished in economy on a long-haul flight. I got 1A which was close to where the flight attendants are and beyond that the bathroom too many people walking by..
I always take the second row in business. Close enough to the front for being served first, and get off the plane first, however I don't have to worry about not having storage in front of me.
I fly "bargain" class and I usually choose the spot farthest from the fuselage when they duct tape me to the wing before the flight. That way there are fewer people bothering me when they get up to go to the restroom. Yes, it is a little loud and windy, but you cannot beat the cost.
