The change in the vaginal ph is another reason why women can develop an unpleasant odor. It is due to an over development of bad bacteria. A product called Rephresh can be used to balance the vaginal ph. Also, once I had a nurse practitioner explain to me that the sweat glands in our armpits are similar to the sweat glands between the legs and explained to me that it is perfectly fine to use a little of the same deodorant used for armpits on the outside of the vaginal area. It was like magic after that.

I noticed that when I drink a lot of water most days my pee is clear and I have no odor at all. On days that I drink juices and soda my pee is yellow and I notice odor, not fishy but just noticeable. I would definitely add drinking a lot of water to the list.

i have never experienced that fishy smell people often talk about, i was taught to wash my vagina and keep it dry. even my partners wonder why i don't smell am i supposed? no and women think im lying but trust me mild soap water and mild deodorant goes a long way. laziness lack of bathing lack of cleanliness, lack of wiping after urinating, lack of changing sanitary items very often and keeping the area moist and unclean will caused bacteria to have a field day in your underwear. 1. wash crevices corners and the whole vagina with water & the outer vagina with mild soap sensitive soap/shower gel (no fragrance) or baby products (Avoid Jhonsons baby brand) i use dove SENSITIVE 2. check for no odour if it still smells wash gently again 3. keep area dry folded tissue on your underwear or panty liners 4. use roll on deodorant on the corners or were you sweat the most(mostly wear the hairs grow) 5. do not put anything up there do not douche if u do need to just use clean water 6. try to exfoliate were your pubes are and the groin area ur inner thighs and between ur behind buy and exfoliating glove on gently rub the outer areas of your vagina with a lil mild soap for extra freshness when you are unshaven. 7. try and stay hair free or minimal hair down there if you get really sweaty. try waxing, shaving do not use hair removal creams down there. 8. if you are completely hair free to avoid itching use moisturiser were the hairs used to be (shea butter, natural oils or aveeno) once you've done this just wash it daily and keep it dry. makesure u check if you are fresh if not cleanse again. never leave the shower stinky it defeats the purpose lol😘 if you still smell you could have infection (yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis "BV") or sti so get checked out. how about woman take care of downstairs like they do with their hair and makeup and prioritise their personal hygiene. if you can smell it so can others. ps its not okay for it to STINK Bad its your vagina telling you something is wrong!! for those who say washing is wrong (pooooohhhhh😷 i feel sorry for your partners) think about it we wash our babies all over with mild soap even in sensitive areas don't babies smell amazing so why must we stop as we get older. wash your body loves it ❤ God bless yall

If you smell like fish you probably have a bacterial infection.. likely bacterial vaginosis. . I don't know why this wasn't adressed... my vagina NEVER has a 'fishy' odor unless there is an imbalance of good/bad bacteria, usually BV!! This comes from sex usually or just some kind of bacteria entering and causing a shift in the presence of the 'right' bacteria ... don't know why this wasn't discussed, but the things you described usually just come from sweating and normal movement and mostly smells like normal body odor. BV needs to be recognized and treated. Fish smell is usually that (BV)! Just giving more info! Thanks!

I use a bidet instead of wipes, gets you super clean, no chemicals, and it's more eco friendly!! My bidet is handheld portable which is nice. I also plan to have a little sports bottle or something in my bag to have a makeshift bidet while I'm out and about. And I also use cloths to wipe instead of toilet paper usually. It's super nice and washable/reusable

Loved this! I add a cap full of vinegar and/or rose water to my bottle of water that I carry with me. I'm Muslim, so yeah it is religious, but I also kind of dual purpose it. Rose water and vinegar have such awesome health benefits for your 😺. I got the vinegar tip from my midwife when I was pregnant. I had been going though some crazy hormonal issues and she recommended a cap full of vinegar and a cap full of hydrogen peroxide in a squeeze bottle to help with the issues that I was having. It worked like a prayer! I have been doing the vinegar ever since. I only use the hydrogen peroxide every once in a while. Also, I stopped using commercially produced baby wipes and started making my own. I use Viva brand paper towels, an old baby wipes box, and vinegar and water mixture. It can be either white vinegar or ACV. I separate the paper towels and fold them together in the classic baby wipe formation, then I place them in the baby wipes box. I then pour the vinegar and water mixture over the paper towels that are in the baby wipes box until they have enough wetness for my liking. You can do some experimenting with the type of vinegar you use. You can also soak some lemon peels (or other citrus fruit peels) in the vinegar for a week and then add a cap full of that to your water for added health benefits. You can also experiment with adding rose water, or herbal infusions that include red raspberry leaves, stinging nettles, and/or ladies mantle. These herbs are powerhouses for vajayjay health in particular. Look it up and do your research! And remember to seek out local professional midwives for advice on herbs for the vajayjay. I am a NP and sometimes people have a over growth of yeast.....with that being said, I have a cousin who dealt with this fishy smell since we were teens. She was very clean, hygiene wise and etc. Thought it was BV got treated, but at 13 honey, this had to be a bigger a problem. Well it wasnt until after years later she learned about boric acid suppositories and this treated her 10 plus over growth of yeast problem up in two days. Smell gone and discharge as well. Although her tips in this video is good. But medically, this may not be the answer for everyone. Thank me later. You Welcome.

@JeNeevaLove Awesome video hon. I agree about the wipes. I have been firm on that since I had my oldest child and thought... why do we stop doing this? You don't use toilet paper on babies, why on adults? ANYWAY, I have a couple tips for you. At least once a month, especially right after one's period, clean the girl out with a couple tsp of baking soda in luke warm water. It takes away the acidity in the blood and restores the PH balance which if it has too much acid, it tends to smell ( Hence why periods smell). Another tip is to be careful when shaving down there. I recommend trimming rather than shaving. The hair is there for a reason, to protect the opening. Kinda like eyelashes protect eyes. Also, I used to shave and sometimes this causes ingrown hairs that get infected and creat what we called Risens, also known as boils. They are gross and VERY painful. It didn't start doing this for me until I was in my late 30's. But speaking to other girls, I found its actually pretty common both pubic and arm pit. I with trim the kitty but I will deal with them in my pits, thank you. LOL I just wanted for my fellow ladies to be forewarned to avoid that pit fall. Okay, now that I am 48 and starting menopause, I need to learn a whole new set of rule. Happy happy, joy joy. Have a great one!

I agree with all that you said except completely removing pubic hair. I know it’s very ingrained in our society that that’s what is expected and the idea of clean and sexy. However having hair there doesn’t impede cleanliness nor hold odor. Also removing hair in such a sensitive area by any method can cause a whole host of other problems. Trimming can be a great alternative. So even though everyone is allowed to make those choices for themselves I think it would be good to note that public hair removal isn’t necessary and methods of removal especially shaving can come with their own set of issues. It’s important to note that diet and hydration play a major part in vaginal health.

But not many moms do because of embarrassing stuff. Do it ladies teach them all you can. One more thing ladies: make sure you get regular pelvic exams and Pap smears! For a year I was smelling like road kill and didn't know why. I washed, I ate yogurt, all that, but nothing helped. I had to stuff paper towels in my cootch to stop the odor! Last month (Oct) I went to the gyno for a check. It turned out I had a polyp (growth) the size of a grape on my cervix. The doctor twisted it off (it doesn't hurt) and there was a stalk on it 3 inches long that had been attached inside my uterus! Thankfully it was the cause of my problem; I haven't smelled like death since. I feel like a woman, lol! ---------- An amendment to this comment: The way I wrote this made some think that I stank CONSTANTLY, lol. No I did NOT. I The smell happened mostly around the time when I would have had my cycle (I don't anymore). I definitely didn't stink on the daily for a whole year!

Ironically, pouring a tablespoon of pure apple cider vinegar in 8 ozs of water also does the trick. It's like liquid douche and very natural.

I dont wash mine with any soap or feminine wash anymore, because Everyrime I use fem wash regularly my pajeyjey get bacteria easily or yeast infection. since I Just wash it with normal water it doesn't smells throughout the day it keeping the good bacteria down there. And always keep it dry cause wet area attracts bad bacteria we dont need to wash it everytime we pee just always wipe it with tissue. We just need to wash it 2 times a day cause our pajeyjey can clean its own. its weird lol but its true. it works for me.

It's usually just a vaginal infection. Get a gyno, stay in contact with her or him. That simple. Don't use a douche, don't use scented soap to wash, and be watchful of your tampons changing them when they are full. My mom didn't tell me a lot about my period really. Now I have dysmenorrhea so I have to stay in contact each week with my gyno. It's very helpful to read up on your period.

Some females eat fish the smell comes out through miss kitty later on. Fish smell is sometimes a sign of yeast infection. "Organic Home Remedy" make rosemary tea strain then add a little vinegar and gentle soap keep in the refrigerator for to 4 or 5 days, douche once daily till it's gone, took me only 3 days store bought cream takes 7. Rosemary acts as an antiseptic + reduces odor to, hope this helps
