Why do I taste my eye drops? How to prevent systemic absorption of eye drops. 

Thought I was going crazy!! My husband was like .. so you say you taste your eye drops 😂

I tried this technique last night and I am here to confirm that it works. Thank you Dr. Wong.

I was using an eye drop to treat an eye infection. After using it I could taste bitterness in the back of my throat. Didn't know how it got to my throat. On top of that I felt really nauseous because I end up swallowing it. Now I know why and how to prevent it. Thank you for this great tip

I had retinal detachment surgery and my eye pressure went up in the eye as a response to the steroid maxitrol I was given. I was given a script for Cosopt and it went down the duct and into my throat causing a reaction- itching in my throat, mucus production and coughing... I don't know if this technique will work for me as I'm going to take the bromomine I think its called rather than the cosopt until I see my doctor

I usually just pop a mint into my mouth right after eyedrops, bad taste gone😂 I’ll try this on my next dose though, fingers crossed it works because the taste is unbelievably foul. Thanks!☺️

I was getting a sore throat (but clear eyes!) from the menthol in Japanese eye drops. Let's see if this will solve the problem...

I used Tobramycin eye drops for 10 days and developed tinnitus immediately afterwards. My doctor didn't tell me about how ototoxic it is! Do you feel it could be caused by tobramycin eye drops? Have you ever heard if anyone complaining about tinnitus/hearing loss after taking them?
