Wearing a small Kippah is better than not wearing, but ever better to wear a large one and wear it PROUDLY, you should be proud to be a Jew
@RabbiAnavaAlon

man tends to "forget" when it is not convenient..... one should have always respect and fear from above and covering your head symbolizes that and reminds you all the time someone greater than you is above

Rabbi, Alon I'm Hispanic and I study Toráh, I'm a Stronger believer in Ha-Shem. I know for Yisrael and Yahudim don't say it. But I do believe the Messiah came already and I'm waiting for his second coming. Rabbi ADONAI bless you and the whole entire Yahudim community.

Well when i workout i don't wear a kippah. I wear a cap. I notice now that i wear my kippah everyday i get comments non-stop. For some odd reason people think i can bless them. I started wearing wearing my kippah everyday a few months back i've been called a Rabbi numerous times, and i have random people walking up to me saying Shalom. I don't understand..

When I wear my Yarmulke there are those uneducated who actually believe I am "associated with Muslims". I don't care, I worship my God without fear, I am his servant and I fear no one.I am a Jew, I am not ashamed or embarassed

I believe it is divine presence with Hazshem. I wear mine everyday. I will never take it off. Since I came back to the states from Europe I was told that I should consider changing my wardrobe. I was told that I should keep identifying card in my passport. I’m not afraid and I will walk around in my black suit and white shirt also my top hat. I refuse to change. Sometimes I go out with my Breslev hat of Na Nahma and will never change. I’m proud!

I was always curious about the meaning of the Kippah. I may not be jewish (christian) but I do want to say that I give you and so many others credit, especially with the mistreatments, persecutions, and unfair treatments, that you remain strong in your beliefs. That is always important. For anyone. Hope you had a blessed Hanukkah. It was such a tragedy of the things I learned in History. It breaks my heart no one should ever have to endure those tragedies and horrific events!!

Okay, this might be a silly question. My uncle is a Jewish convert. He is extremely spiritual and keeps the laws the best that he can. My uncle is black and from Haiti. I notice that he only wears the kippah on shabbat. He has a few businesses in the black community and he hides his identity by not wearing the kippah. Whenever I ask him why he doesnt wear it, he tells me he doesnt want to be a target and there is too much spotlight on him. Is it ok for him to not wear the kippah because he is black and it seems odd or should I encourage him to put it on. Im sorry, I know its petty but it means alot to hear your point of view, Thanks

+Pura Periculo unfortuantly it is not ok, cause you can do an act that is not allowed to do for Jews, like eat something not kosher or drive on Shabbat, while you are wearing the Kipa and a Jew will look at you and think it is permitted cause he will mistake you for being a Jew

I think that if a person walks a holy life there is a reason why. The cohanim had to cover the head. So if Ruach Elohim is inside of a person his head should be covered - kippa or whatever. 1000 years ago the kippa was much larger covering more. I think that covering his head is a sign of humbeling

since you have that feeling you could be one of the lost Jewish soul sparks, but in order to be a Jew it takes a lot of work to convert , wearing kippah is one of the easy thing to do ,but in order to learn the laws and the commandments you have to study day and knight till at least you know the basic ,it is a new life and new person and that will happen if you really have that true feeling and you think this is the true religion .

Is there a verse that says that Jews should wear a hat or head cover? I'm Christian btw
@RabbiAnavaAlon
@RabbiAnavaAlon 8 лет назад
+Jacob Jones There is no verse in the Torah that a man needs to wear a Kipa (Head cover) rather it says in the Zohar. For men to wear Kipa is a custom (we take our customs very seriously and there are reasons for that). But it does say in the Torah that a married woman has to cover her hair.

+Thomas Rivera In order for one to become a Rabbi, one must first learn for a few years in Yeshivah, to learn the basic's of the teachings of the Torah and then he goes to a Rabbinical school
@RabbiAnavaAlon
@RabbiAnavaAlon 8 лет назад
+Thomas Rivera The Zohar is the foundational work in the literature of Jewish mystical thought known as Kabbalah. It is a group of books including commentary on the mystical aspects of the Torah (the five books of Moses) and scriptural interpretations as well as material on mysticism, mythical cosmogony, and mystical psychology.

Can non Jews wear a kippah?
@RabbiAnavaAlon
@RabbiAnavaAlon 7 лет назад
There is no prohibition to wear a Kipa. the problem is, that if a non Jew wears a Kipa and then eats pork in a non Kosher restaurant and another Jew happens to see him, he/she can think that it's ok to eat pork. Same example if the non Jew wears a Kipa and drives on Shabbat and a Jew can see him and think it is ok to drive on Shabbat Therefore it's better not to do so unless you only wear it when you visit a synagogue or a class etc.

@RabbiAnavaAlon
@RabbiAnavaAlon 7 лет назад
You should for sure take off the Kipa when you eat at a non Kosher restaurant. But instead, you should just start eating only at kosher restaurants and then you gain two things A) Easting Kosher and B) you get to wear your Kipa

sorry im not Jewish but i do believe in god and you say to wear a hat so you are not arrogant but i honestly see it the opposite way.. it seems like when people do wear hats they are more arrogant than others because they have a sense of not wanting to being seen ..why hide your head from god?? i would think this is disrespectful to him.if you have to wear a hat to hide your self from god then you are probably doing something wrong.. .. when we were created we were naked and god saw us naked. it was only till Adam and eve disobeyed god that led to them wanting to put on cloths because of their proverbial minds.just my opinion... mainly i dont wear hats because it causes hair loss..
