Once I was an artist. I was trained as an artist, called myself an artist; & was called such by other people. Nowadays, I repudiate that title with vehemence. My business is creating beauty; & to push back ugliness. These days I call myself a craftsman; & distance myself from those "artists", with no talent, no skill, no taste; & a seeming desire to defecate on everything that is good & beautiful.
I feel like I could tolerate a lot of hardship if everything around me were beautiful instead of dirty modernist and brutalist hulks with cars rushing about everywhere, and everyone dressed like a right bum.

I'm currently visiting Bristol, a very left wing city. It has 100+ Grade 1 buildings but the city is covered in ugly, oppressive graffiti and feels like a ghetto. Predictably, the Bristol governing class claim to like it and it doesn't appear to be discouraged.
I live near Bristol and commute to the Thames Valley. The demographic is quite different at either end of my journey but the atmosphere of true spiritual anarchism is exactly the same.

I went into a pub in Birmingham. It had a stone floor, oak beams, wood panelling, an open fire, and so on, very authentic, ages old, a real pleasurable place to relax and drink. The walls were adorned with prints of centuries old portrait paintings, except the faces were covered with a smear of bright paint to ruin them. The spitful mutant is everywhere, and they want to erase everything that came before them.
One very zoomed out angle to explain this is that they are against everything good, true and beautiful because it creates opposites of those by defining them, and by that hierarchies, which they think are all unjust.
I don't think that this is why. I think that they want to break our spirits by uprooting our culture. I have never seen them attack beauty from non-White cultures.

I have seen young little girls with bright blonde hair that put food coloring in parts of their hair and look like beautiful flowers. The larger older women hate the beautiful ones, often because their own mothers neglected them when they themselves were little. These older jealous ones dress as a charicture of the beautiful ones.
They feel their art will never meet the high standards so they use wreckless abandon in order to gain attention. Hence it looks either really boring, unrefined, or chaotic.
William Pierce talked about this a couple of decades ago, in many Hollywood movies the protagonist is usually ugly while the good looking Jock/Chad was portrayed as the villain, or the ugly/fat girl was portrayed as being nice and sweet while the pretty girls were portrayed as being mean. If you look at the directors and producers making these movies, they were ugly/fat themselves, so their movies were a way for them to demonize the good looking people they were jealous of.

I want to boil it down even further. The aversion to beauty is a reflection of a mindset "nothing can be better than me". Anyone more beautiful, more intelligent, more moral is dismissed because these virtues either "don't count", or are "societal constructs", or otherwise unfair. Real virtues must be destroyed so that people lacking them don't feel bad. That's why modern art is lauded; why average ladies call themselves 10s; why anyone who fails must have been oppressed; and so on. To put it into Jolly's terms, I'm suggesting that most of this anti-beauty mindset is related to leftists' harm-avoidance mindset.

This reminds me of a character from an anime (soul eater) where he is obsessed with symmetry (beauty) and in his intro, he comes across a mummy which was purposely drawn to look as asymmetric as possible. Doesn't beautify represent extreme talent, and health? The left likes to explain away their shortcomings, and come up with reasons why they are the best, why they should be in charge of everything and everybody. But beauty, drops virtue on us like a ton of bricks. We are awed by the works of great artists. We are struck by the beauty of a great athlete or someone just gracefully walking down the street with a perfect body. There is no explaining it away.

I find it fascinating no one in these videos regardless of political view dares to mention massive visible tattoos. Meanwhile blocks away from where I live, I see every day an advertisement for free removal of tattoos to help people find employment, and some of these programs are paid for by the government.

However, as comprehensive as it was, I'm wondering if it's possible to distill all this down even further to a single point of origin. Is it possible that the psychology you described stems from emotional immaturity, or more specifically, infantilism? Everything else, the psychology & behaviour being a direct result of this? I appreciate this might be too simplistic but I like understand complexity from a position of simplicity.

Beauty, architecture and art was one of the first things the left wing attacked at the beginning of the 20th century. We have been under sensory assault for more than a century with ugliness and disharmony. When leftism is finally defeated we will undergo a magnificent renaissance in the appreciation of beauty in every field of endeavour. At least that is my hope.

I'm not 'left wing' but I still have purple hair just to mess with them :P I'm an artist though, whose only aim with their work is to make things that are beautiful, I don't want to look at, or create things that are ugly - it's a deliberate tactic in society to make people more miserable, I also think it's based on jealously - the people that want to bring down the beautiful things in the world, be it art, architecture, music etc, it's because they can't create themselves - I'm so glad I can't be accused of being left wing despite the hair haha
