Rule of Law is a key thing for a country to grow economically and socially! Unfortunately, corruption and population bombs ruining every planning! For 75 years the country has experienced political instability, Martial law, the Law and order situation worsening, corruption, and a lack of a fair and speedy justice system.

For example! after 2-4 hours flight from Pakistan to UAE. People change themselves when they enter in immigration lounge. Follow the line, no spitting, No passing urine on the roadside, no tussle, fighting, etc. There is no compromise culture! If someone violates their laws. first, they are fined or jailed and may be deported with oneway ticket and a lifetime ban.

I usually land on Islamabad international airport. There are always proper lines, discipline and staff is professional. So things are not as bad as sometimes we portray. We are improving in my view.

Expecting overseas VC money to fund startups is a bad approach. VCs generally are greedy and have short leash to fund their client. Nothing wrong with greed. After all, they are venturing on a very high risk business idea. Besides, VCs want a a stable society in terms of politics, culture, economic continuity when governments change, an educated population, decent L&O situation and criminal and civil justice system. When these lack in a country, the overseas VCs who come are even greedier and want to make a killing one way or other. So, a country is better off depending on in-house VCs who understand the system and may have a longer staying power.
