At least Vlad actually likes hip hop. Adam admitted he doesn't even listen to rap. Vlad would be ok if he calmed down on the sensationalism and stuck to docs, djing, and he had a part in some great documentaries. Adam is %100 sensationalism. He's not part of the culture, he has nothing to offer the culture (except a platform built on content that's actively destructive to the culture), and he diesn't even like the culture. I never liked this guy. Even from the early days. I’ve actually refused to watch or listen to a single episode of his podcast. I don’t exactly know why. He reminded me of world star I guess. Another thing I never liked. But now I get to say it’s because I saw all this coming 😂.
Absolutely insanity that social media and celebrity culture has made pubclity normal. You have a point with Adam but he's really just one more example of someone exploiting celebrity and is probably too ignorant to understand how his behavior is problematic. Setting up a podcast with his parameters of interviewing gangsters and what not is made possible by social media and he's probably smart enough to understand how this method is exploitive but doesn't care because he's chasing success. Sad but I believe this problem is a cultural issue writ large.
Context and your ability to mesh back with society matter for sentencing in this case. No one saying he’ll get off free but he could get less time if someone said he has it for self defense rather than committing crimes.
