Why do Preachers Lie? | Carter Conlon 

I was looking for a message like this because I am concerned about a family member who is a pastor (for 13 years). We live in the same town and I no longer attend that church. The teachings that they adhere to is wealth, health and prosperity. Last night I stumbled upon 2 videos of his testimony online that were televised on local stations. I was appalled because he added things to his testimony that were flat out lies. In fact, the 2nd testimony was worse than the 1st one. What is so sad is that he didn't need to "embellish" his story because he was a drug dealer, heroin addict, 3 time felon and was in a jailhouse version of Islam called "Five Percenters" (which is a joke). I am so sad about this, and I needed insight. I thank the Lord that he lead me to this sermon. Pastor Conlon hit the nail on the head and I am thankful. Saints, please pray that God will deal with him, so many souls at stake. I hope he repents of this foolishness and that he's not too far gone.

This man is truly anointed, as was Pastor Wilkerson. Thank God for such passionate men of God. Bless us all, each who listens and is convicted and blessed by this Word. Amen. 😌♥️🙏🏽

I really appreciate Carter Conlon's preachings, because he doesn't soft-talk the truth. He calls it as it is, I really like the stearness and the truth. Please, like the wheels keep on rollin, also keep on preachin' the hard truths.

I left a person who was not a Christian and I finally have freedom with Christ that I didn’t have while I was with him. Pastor just said about being with someone I shouldn’t had and I should have left a long time ago. Amen. Don’t stay in a place where you can’t serve God. Leave and you’ll find freedom with God. I couldn’t pray enough or pray and get close to God while I was with that person. Now I know bc I had to get away from that.

I love how scripture is proven here just with the comments. Pastor Carter is a man of God. It's our job as a true born again believer to pray for Gods teachers. This is how you know u are with God u will love his people and pray for those lost. People only go against the word of God when they want to stay in sin

Thank you Pastor Carter for this Sermon. I’m a Bible based Christian and I have sometimes wondered about some of the Pastors I’ve heard Sermons from. Some of what I’ve heard didn’t sit well with what I discerned. Something told me not to challenge them but just bolt and stay away from that Church. It puts me to fear because I wonder what a slippery slope these men and women are on because they are leading their flock to hell.

Preachers lie when they fool themselves believing they are beyond temptation, and above reproach and/or correction, isolating themselves from fellow ministers that could help them or godly church members

Thank our good Lord for good men like pastor Conlon, Billy Graham and G Craige Lewis and many more like them. They do not sugar coat the truth and they preach God's word the way it should be preached.

This sermon is over four years old but as true as ever. America now stands at the very edge of judgement but very few Preachers are warning their Congregations. Blessings and Prosperity are the norm in most Churches. Any Pastor who dares to stand flat footed and preach the true Word of God will soon find himself preaching to empty Pews.

Pastor Conlon, in regard to your (likely correct) belief that God will pull out a list with every member of your congregation on it and go through it with you, one-by-one: well, firstly, I strongly suspect that He will approve; I can't imagine otherwise. But even if somehow He does not; even if the allures of NYC somehow overtook your preaching and your Congregation comes out looking less-than-stellar, I believe you will have no fear nor any worries, because after He's done with that list, He'll pull out a second list, filled with tens of thousands of names you've never heard (if not more), and all the people whom you have convicted, touched, inspired, moved, and otherwise helped bring to Christ via RU-vid and radio will be revealed, and the true extent to which you've been a blessing to the body of Christ will be revealed to you. Thank you for adhering to the Truth.

Pastor Conlon, Thank you, you are following in Pastor Wilkerson's footsteps by speaking the truth and hearing from Holy Spirit without the Holy Spirit, we cannot understand What God's wants us to be. Without Holy Spirit, we do not know how to pray or what to pray, we do not even know what to ask the Holy Spirit, what should we ask God for. My dear Lord, what a God we serve.

We learn from the scriptures how God deals with humankind. When we know Him and love Him, we will observe that He does rule over the whole world. Many of this generation have decided to be their own god and will find out that their thoughts and ways are destructive.

Is there a reason why your wife is a pastor? Did you not follow the Word of God?

It is not about just crying out to God and believing for your 'freedom' as is being preached here. REPENTANCE is necessary, it is not an option. GODLY SORROW works REPENTANCE. Repent and be baptized. FORSAKE YOUR OWN SELF WILL. Jesus said, DENY YOURSELF, TAKE UP YOUR CROSS, FOLLOW ME. Disciple's of Jesus Christ are the one's whom are set free. Free from what?? FREE FROM SIN. ALL SIN. Carter is given clear messages from God on a silver platter. BUT he is guilty of exactly what he describes. By his words shall he be judged. Those of you who do not know what I am saying had better dig deeper and learn to love the truth so you will not be given over to delusion and love for lies. He has an occlusion that makes it too difficult for him to see in the mirror. This is truly sad.

Here’s another church that worships on Sunday, that’s a lie, Sunday worship is a pagan tradition, they worshipped the sun god on Sunday
