I would truly like to believe your explanation, but other statues and carvings in the area and around the world with the same quality of stone and exposure to the elements still have noses. The decorative carvings which have the same material have deteriorated to a much lesser degree. These particular statues are only defaced in this way. There are others with the entire face chipped off, and cartouches with names chipped out for purposes of erasing a ruler from history. However, when many of these statues exhibit other characteristics which plainly display and represent their likely racial background (hair, lips, cheekbones, etc.) the explanation is, at best, still open for discussion and not lightly dismissed as a consequence of exposure to the winds of Egypt.

Forgot to mention that sites and tombs that were 'vandalized' were untouched on the inside and still had traps that had yet to be set. One of the most prominent features of a black man is his nose, there are statues that are in great condition everywhere but the nose. If grave robbers are the case, please explain the method and tactics they used to remove the nose. Its completely obvious. Statues with more black African feature are more disfigured. I have even seen this in Canterbury Cathedral in the UK where there are lots of statues. Lets not forget when most of these statues were discovered by Napoleon, this was at the height of the transatlantic slave trade and any thought that black Africans could be anything other than enslaved would have been unthinkable. @Reek Osama. To add to your post it is quite understandable and evident that the Pyramids in Nubia predates that of Egypt. The pyramid building technology may have started on a smaller scale as seen in Nubia in the form of prototypes and on pilot basis till the technology was perfected to reach the massive scale and enormous size as is found in Egypt today. I have read from somewhere that the Nubians rather learned the technique from Egypt which in my opinion is not true.

LOL Khemet doesn't mean black people. Khemet means the Black Land, which is what happens when the Nile receeds in August and leaves black colored land in it's place. If the Khemetians were actually black they would have represented themselves that way, and they did not. Just look at all the statues that are being removed and or destroyed in American in the last 10 years. Look at all the statues destroyed in the cultural revolution in the PRC. Academia said that the Pharaohs were Arabs and Europeans. But scientist recently did a CAT scan on an ancient Egyptian mummy, and the results proved he was Nubian, a Black Africa. If you want to go with the natural wear of the monuments, then more that the nose would have been effected.
