I fell like people are mischaracterizing her as "dommy mommy" and all the devil imagery with her is going completely over peoples heads. she's going to appear like a "dommy mommy" because her whole thing is temptation

As an Aventurine fan, I would like to say that Jade didn’t enslave him, and I would like to clear up some misconceptions regarding both of them. 1) This seems obvious but I see so many people say it. Jade is NOT aventurines slave master. Aventurine’s slave master was a male and he’s dead because Aventurine killed him. 2) Jade not only prevented Aventurine from being sent to the gallows, but she also gave him money, status and some freedom (more than if he was an actual slave). Aventurine isn’t completely free, I know that, but Jade gave him a position where he was more free than he was before. 3) The ten stonehearts and the Strategic investment department have NOTHING to do with enslaving Kakavasha in the first place. The slavery is run by the Marketing development department which is led by Oswaldo Schneider. 4) Aventurine himself WANTED to have the opportunity to talk to Jade. Also finally, this one is up to interpretation honestly, but it’s implied that Jade does genuinely care about Aventurine (EG: her “about aventurine” line, or the fact that she’s glad he’s okay after the penacony mission, or the fact that in aventurine’s character story she dislikes the fact that people complain about aventurine because he’s avgin) If there’s any more common misconceptions feel free to add them

"Jade is a horrible villain" SHUT UP THAT'S WHY I LOVE HER (no actual hate btw I completely see why one can hate her) Hoyo playing into a character's evilness and not downplaying it is so refreshing and I will forever love that. And NO I'm not condoning her behavior. Jade is selfish, manipulative and downright sinister. It plays well into the symbolism of her representing the snake that tempts Eve. She is sin itself and it works so well. I really hope hoyo doesn't give her a sob story. But it also makes sense for her to have a complicated past since she is a multifaceted character. Idk I just hope the story does her justice.

Hating her character in the story is fine. I mean she's not a good person, you're not suppose to like her or root for her. She's literally the Devil as shown in her trailer. If you don't like her kit that's also valid. She seems like a future proof unit with not much use for current meta. But making hate post or commenting hate on things related to her is just stupid. Like it's pixels, go get a life.

as a bit of leverage for jade; ruan mei literally drove all of her creations insane to the point of suicide, and she tried making an emanator in the space station without regard for everyones lives, then asked us to clean up her mess. i feel like out of all of the "villains", ruan mei is straight up a monster. lets not forget all of the other species she created that she basically killed off because they werent good enough, so add (even if minor) genocide to that list. we even had to take care of her creations for her before she realized that maybe their lives are worth something :/

It's quite simple actually, all the characters released from Penacony were incredible, Black Swan, Sparkle, Acheron, Aventurine, Robin, Boothill and Firefly, but Jade remembers a little from 1.0 to 1.6, where the characters are simpler. Another issue is also their function, Herta and Himeko are cheaper characters, simple to build and that perform the same function as the character, so Jade doesn't add much to the account if you have them built. In my opinion, there are only two reasons to get the character, if you like her or liked her skills, she is not weak, but there are other options that are just as strong as her and cheaper.

Being unpopular because having no screentime in the game is understabdable. There is not much where you can base your opinion on. BUT it is possible vice versa. Robin was LOVED to death despite having 5 min screentime. I guess anime fans dont like adult woman who know what they want and would prefer some smooth "all world is full of flowers and help me senpai" type.

The problem with Jade is that she is POORLY written. She came at the wrong time because the Penacony story ended upon her arrival so she doesn't have a deep lore/backstory which helps in putting into perspective who she truly is as a character. People are still looking for a reason to why she is the person that she is now. Furthermore, her trailer should've been the catalyst for dropping hints of her past/story but it became a "dom mommy" fanservice instead. They could've started the trailer with a short backstory before she became a cornerstone but Hoyo decided to just make it all fanservice. AND this is the reason why a lot of people hate her. She is just empty as a character, but I am 100% sure that people would change their perspective against Jade once we get her backstory/reasoning behind her actions. Think about Ruan Mei as an example. She is also a morally grey character but people still like her because she has an actual story and purpose. Her lore basically says that she is someone who struggles with emotion and having empathy against others and that she is too immersed in becoming an Aeon therefore she has devoted her life to research. Her story might be simple but it puts into perspective to who she is as a character and that makes it easier for people to like her unlike Jade who has no depth yet as a character.

Yeah alot of people STILL mischaracterize Jade especially on twitter. The fact that she "bullies" Aventurine isn't even true 💀. She only "adopts" Aventurine into the IPC and I think people forget Aventurine is the one that chose to join the IPC and wagered with Jade. Even Jade was worried about Aventurine's condition in the end of 2.2 quest Now I'm not trying to defend a 2d character because I'm skipping her and she's not Kafka, but god DAMN do people like to hate and mischarecterize one

Edit: I also want to point out that Topaz and Aventurine who are currently very beloved used to be hated like her so jade just needs some time like they did. I don't think it's only one reason of her being a villain. Phantaylia, Ruan Mei(despite receiving some hate earlier is now beloved) and Kafka are well liked despite being evil or at the spectrum of Morally Grey. Jade showed up in Aventurine's backstory and said some bad stuffs as a villain. (and said something about a slave shouldn't have killed their master so that rubbed people the wrong way, and she didn't exactly saved him either as he's trapped with the ipc because she and diamond recruited him) IPC is already hated due to Topaz, Boothill and Aventurine's backstory too. Also yeah it's the 'dommy mommy' thing that has been used a lot in hsr so ppl got tired of it especially with the whip and the stepping animation. Some also said her kit, design and animations felt underwhelming compared to the characters we've received recently. She isn't a very fleshed out character either even in 2.3 so that left a lot ipc fans underwhelmed. Many didn't like that her lower design is just a skirt and heels from what i've heard. Her banner was also done dirty too with older 4 stars. I feel like Jade is just taking major L's mostly due to Hoyo focusing on characters like Firefly, Acheron and Aventurine who are obvious fan favorites, I'm sure she'll be more loved after a few patches later. Penancony characters has also been groundbreaking meta wise too so to have someone with an okay kit she's bound to be skipped.

People not pulling doesn't always equals to people hating on it. But yeah, jade just feel like a filler character, that's why it doesn't get that much hype.

People are disappointed at Jade bcs she can't do what Acheron and FF does. She's meant to be played in a dual dps lineup not a hypercarry, like her kit revolves in her leeching on a unit to get passive stacks for her fua to trigger. If i had spare jades, i would definitely pull for her. Jade, Himeko and Herta, if you have these three, you're all set for PF..

Ruan Mei is evil af once you read her lore. She wants to revive the same creatures that wiped out half the polutation in the universe, not to mention she gave her creations concinous and neglected them. Not only that, she did cruel experiments and gave whatever she was experimenting on abundance berries to keep them alive - like what was bro doing to them 🥲. And there’s some more messed up shit about Ruan Mei as well. But everyone loves Ruan Mei, just to show that this Jade drama is just a bunch of nonsense

I dont have a thing for getting wipped on. Got ptsd with that shit bruh since childhood 💀💀💀 (I'd also like to add that Jade's trailer definitely got me on the edge of my seat with huge discomfort.... And that's exactly what I love about her character because she actually got me on the edge. Something that I don't really react to at all much when it comes to character introductions so it's a W in my book 👍)

if we specifically talk about jade trailer, i think it's pretty mid/generic. it's the standard dominatrix female trailer but set in HSR world.

They released her too early. This should have been Sunday instead. We barely see anything of her at all in 2.3, and what we do see she's just kind of... "Hello I am manipulation lady". We get little glimpses of her having a deeper character, but we didn't get enough of her to see that. As a result I feel her release just feels dead. Like I said, personally I think we should have gotten Sunday now, and got jade later once we inevitably see more of her.

She just feels like a character that not a lot of people really need. She's only good in Pure Fiction, which is fine by itself, but PF is already arguably the easiest of the 3 endgame modes due to the fact that the best units are either free (Herta) or a standard character (Himeko). There's simply not going to be a lot of people that struggle in *only* PF as a result, and if so there's very little reason to pull Jade, especially when characters like Acheron and Firefly are also really solid in PF as a mere afterthought despite that not being their intended use case at all. Jade is a niche solution to a problem that very few people actually have in the first place, and even if you do have that problem you can probably resolve it in other means that have more generalized utility as well.

She's plain to the point that Hoyo thought they could sell her using her "Step on me" animation but failed, if she's meta outside PF, people will def pull for her. Even my friends who are supposed to be "thirsty" for her didn't bother pulling after they tried her using my account. I pulled for her personally because I'm planning on getting all the IPC/Heartstone members, and with a built Jade I tell you, I regret pulling for her cause she added little to nothing in terms of value in my account, Im already full-staring every content before her(MOC, PF, AS - even 1-tried the V6 of the DU).

E1S1 Jade haver here. No matter what I will always be an IPC collector. It's been fun using her with my Topaz.

I would say Ruan Mei is the most villain character in actuality. She just does not portray it like Jade

-Side character with barely any screentime. -Extremely niche unit literally only for one gamemode where at worst you miss out on less than a single roll of jades. -The little sparkle of relevancy instantly stolen by new Xianzhou characters. Gee I wonder why would be there close to zero interest.

Honestly, It kinda feels like there's an unspoken rule in the gacha community that female 'dommy mommy' characters can't be morally grey or evil, yet male characters can do the same and everyone's fine with it. (this is an opinion)

Think one of the reasons is also because she was announced where people were expecting to see Sunday, she just kinda spawned out of nowhere after one picture in the story.

I personally feel that her character is too bland, especially for someone to be one of the top ranking members of the ipc. It didn’t help that she was released wayyy too early, (her drip marketing came after 2.1, where we only saw one frame of her) Both the 10 stone hearts released have amazing backstories and lore, but they fell short on her. That said, i do like her design but she’s just too boring of a character to be hyped

here’s the thing, they mischaracterise her a lot. Many players hate her (mostly Aventurine fans) because she “enslaved” aventurine which is just straight up wrong. It’s in her LC that she cares for children a lot by donating a bunch of things to help them. Her clients chose to fuck their lives up themselves by trading almost their whole life for their desire. Otherwise they say her design is generic/basic/boring and mommy bait. Combat-wise she’s ok mostly excelling in PF but anything else she’s ok also i think that Jade’s trailer is one of the best trailers i seen (better than ff’s one that’s for sure imo)

First thing we see in the game is Kafka and Silver wolf luring the Antimatter legion to the Herta station, wich led to a bunch of researchers dying, and yet Jade making deals that, though really fucked up, are still consensual, is seen as unforgivable, let alone making up shit like her grooming Topaz just because she touched her hair. The double standards is crazy

I think there's an argument to be made for her being a little one dimensional and mono toned in term of characterization (since her personality is extremely troupey in my opinion) but I really liked her whole exchange thing in the story, I thought it was a cool idea and it seems like it'll come up again

For me I'd say the fact she's after both Firefly and Ruan Mei is a huge blow for her. These two are highly sought after characters and both can work well in pretty much any gamemode (especially since FF can apply fire weakness). Jade on the other hand is only really viable in Pure Fiction and sure she has some great synergy with the likes of Himeko, Herta, Blade etc I still wouldn't say it's that worth getting her.

Reasons why her banner ( can be wrong ) may not have so much pulls from people and will not be in a particular order: 1- Many people are broke like me on Firefly banner, got her E6 S1 with finally getting Ruan Mei cone. 2- Besides that, some people didn’t like her personality like you mention, what she did and more to some NPCs ( when literally Kafka has kill ppl for fun ). 3- Another is the one you mention, ppl where mad about how she treated Aventurine, i like Aventurine but that is all, beside him being the best shield support and send Gepard to retirement. 4- I don’t think ppl are tired of dominant mommies tbh but can be wrong still, maybe her design is what some people find out be meh 5- Sometimes ppl hate character because yes and that’s it. I don’t dislike Jade at all and believe me, wish to pull for her but too poor now and even willing to maybe think to get Argenti cause he is a unit i want but next patch brings a better Clara and more. 6- Her kit is fine, on PF with Herta and Himeko slaps so hard, even Jade with Blade hits hard too but is a kinda niche setup to make it work on other places, that and people now expect powercreep like Acheron or Firefly now. Anyway, i can be wrong and i’m okay with that, i can’t be wrong too so who knows.

Don't understand the jade hate for real. Firefly was just a girl that the game pushes to make it look like she is a GF. SAM was cool though so I still got her but the moment Jade was shown for the 1st time I instantly wanted her. I like her bonejade exchange it is cool and reminds of a devil making pacts and I have always been a sucker for FUA. I ended up getting her E1S1 since I wanted to play her outside of Purefiction. I understand if you don't like a character and skip but hating is a bit insane for a png.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think Jade would not be considered as forgettable if the entire story currently wasn't focused on Firefly because the game really, REALLY wants you to like her. It really feels like 'look at Firefly, isn't she cool, she's so likEABLE, PLEASE LOVE HER' - which had the opposite effect on me personally but that's neither here nor there. It's just unfortunate that we basically see Jade once at a negotiation table and then only get the dubious hint that she's a magical merchant and on top of that, it's in relation to SWEET LOVELY BABY FIREFLY, THE BESTEST, THE STRONGEST, YOUR FAVOURITE CHARACTER, RIGHT???!!?!? (exaggerating but that's how it feels when she doesn't appeal to you at all), so that probably turned people off of her even more.

I tried getting her for my blade. But I ain’t gonna be caught sayin Jade is a good person. Almost NOBODY in IPC is a good person. That includes Topaz and Acenturine. I still ain’t gonna forget that Topaz was tryna colonize Belobog at first, and I nobody trusted Aventurine.

Jade of course comes alongside the worst 4* units to pull for. All of them are free units and a lot of people (myself included) have E6 on at least one if not all of the units alongside her. I'd rather invest in the units I have then waste pulls getting refunds, and I don't like Jade in the little story she has had.

I just want all the FUA characters 😭😭, But not even I would get mad if I don't get her, It's just fun watching all the chaos on my teams

My main reason for pulling for Jade is because she's a 10 stonehearts member. We also share the same name. The dommy mommy aesthetics are just a plus. P.S. I got lucky and got her E1 in just 2 ten pulls
