I absolutely zone out when riders rattle off their sponsors. That stuff is plastered all over their bikes, their riding gear, goggles around their neck, sports drink in the hand, billboard behind them, on every tough block...I get it, sponsors need to be plugged, it's an expensive sport. I like when riders show their personalities though. AP is one of my favorites. The dude is always having a good time and laughing.

That is where cars are better for sponsors. The logos can be seen on TV much more easily. With dirt biked....not nearly as good.

When Chad Reed had his own team his interviews and podium comments were great. He was able to say what he wanted and not be so stiff and boring.

year or two ago During the pre season presser the 3 guys had all raced MXGP I would have asked what are something you like or dislike that the AMA or MXGP does (time qualifying or 2day race qualifying, keep your gate position or changes depending how you finish 1st moto) I don't think they would want to upset the AMA but you had 3 foreign racers to ask pros & cons about both to make thing better

The no helmet thing makes sense, I can identify a lot more riders while they are racing with full gear and helmet on than I can when when the camera happens to show a rider before a race. I’ve basically learned their number and bike brand, not actually who they are and what they look like. I obviously know what all the factory guys look like, but not much of the privateers.

That helmet thing is a great idea. My biggest gripe with the broadcast right now is that they don't show us where all the riders are lined up on the gate. The no helmet idea fits right into that especially since they are using drones now. Let's get it done!!

Yeah in other words tuck your shirt in. Tell us all your sponsors and don't stand out in any way. Suck all the personality out of the interviews. Sounds like a winning formula dude.

@@dmelson7502 I don’t mean that at all. Two people can have a very interesting and fun discussion on just about anything without dropping the F Bomb 10 times. I have great conversations all the time with cussing. What you’re saying is, they need cussing to make their interview interesting. I give them more credit than that.

The pressers are terrible and boring and the after race interviews are even worse. It’s so bland and so scripted. SHOW SOME PERSONALITY!!!

Reminds me off the key&peele skit with the football player saying "give it 100%" to every question. Except in this case it's the fault of the press for asking suck generic questions that can almost all be answered with a universal response.
