The apprenticeship program sounds so exciting!!! So many young people today have little structure in their lives growing up, I've talked to a few seniors in high school who were still trying to figure out what they wanted to do. If there were more programs like this, I think it would have an amazing impact for many young people.
This Rivera series is special because Rico and Victoria are learning from and interacting with people, not just showing unattainable multimillion dollar boats. Make more like this.
Absolutely love this series. I think anyone who has been aboard a Riviera knows just how impressive they are but to actually see the quality and detail that goes into their production process is something else. Thank you for the tour guys ❤️
Couple that with how happy all the employees seemed despite you guys cutting off their music for the tour and how many people have been there for decades... there is no question that this is a quality boatyard

Good to see you learning more Aussie slang: Tradey = Tradesperson Sparky = Electrician Chippy = Carpenter Dunny Diver = Plumber Shiny Bum = Management (who sit on their bum all day) Desk Driver = Admin Clerk Ivory Tower = Where 'Shiny Bums' work separated from 'real' people. All said in good fun. I'm a retired Shiny Bum and one of my best mates is a retired Sparky. 😁

Riviera Yachts are second to none in my opinion. I am not a yacht owner but I do enjoy watching these videos of them, like watching videos of exotic cars. Riviera to me is like the Rolls Royce of yachts. Thanks 👍✌️☮️

I just received my 505suv after a long wait and can tell you that she, "Bad Habit" is amazing! During my wait, I really wanted to visit the factory, but never made it! This video of production is awesome! So proud to know that we have a superior quality boat built by superior quality people.

Riviera could not have a better advert for their boats than this video. Imagine what it would cost them to produce this "meet the company" video themselves. And it would never feel as authentic. Absolutely First Class.
This has been one of the best videos. It shows Riviera is much more than just a boat builder, but a builder of careers and craftsmen and women. Loved it.
Once again that was fascinating. I was quite impressed with the commitment to quality. Most impressive though was the obvious pride in product in each of the craftsmen you spoke with. Way to go Aussies!
I could watch these videos all day. It is amazing how the different builders set up the production lines. It is amazing seeing them also setting up apprenticeships, something we should have done here a long time ago. When is the Heesen and Feadship videos coming???😂😂

Fantastic job guys! Really enjoyable insights. Would show this Series to School students in Careers / Business lessons for the insights into career pathways & quality successful businesses. The yachts are fantastic but the story of the Company was just as good.

I wonder if other boat manufacturers and people like Alexi from Bering watch this and go...wow, surely they must be impressed with the way Riviera have structured the company. Obviously a lot of other manufacturers build offshore to save on labour and parts costs. The structure and quality of Rivieras work site is second to none, this is a reflection of the quality of their products that Riviera offers. You can see it in the staff that you interviewed that they really love their work and the mentoring that is offered to the staff from apprentices all the way up the chain to management is very impressive. A happy employee equates to a top quality product. This makes me very proud to be an Australian and especially a Queenslander. Well done Riviera. 🇦🇺

A previous comment on the first video noted your respect for the workers and thanking them for the interruption to their music and schedule. Another great video about Riviera. 15 years ago I was part owner of a Riviera M400 sports cruiser, it was a fabulous boat and perfect for Moreton Bay/Gold Coast Broadwater and short coastal trips.
Coming from a similar manufacturing background this was really interesting, thank you for bringing this one to us. Their positive company culture (effectively 'Our people are our strongest asset') comes across firmly and will help them overcome the challenges (good & bad) that come along - well done! I saw a few opportunities there to get to a productive zero warranty vision, but I'm sure they'll figure it out 🙂
What a great series. From the work ethic and attitudes on display, these folks take the zero warranty idea to heart. More companies should create the apprentice program of Riviera, it clearly pays huge dividends.
I just took a quick trip, via Google Earth, down to 50 Waterway Dr. and looked Riviera Yachts over. The Satellite view and street level shots are a few years old but that looks like a very water oriented neighborhood.
Hiya Vico, What a wonderful video, thank you both. I started my apprenticeship as a spark back in 1973; it was when I decided to be a smoker, and as you know, I'm now on my final countdown. They think about 10 months. Chippie for carpenter was the other main aka, also known as. Seeing a firm as dedicated to team and product growth is lovely. 30 years since they went there as an apprentice is a very long time, but it says so much about who the company are and that they have a human face. The apprenticeship program is a phenomenal opportunity. I think it makes Riviera Yachts that much more impressive as a yacht builder but also as a company. Doing it right !!!!
Totally deserving of a two part episode, if the stars align a Riviera is in the near future, out of all the trades you did visit, the skilled and underappreciated members in the upholstery department seem to have been missed, so thanks to all those hard workers that make all the things that give comfort to what you'll sit on, sleep on, lean against and generally give texture to that isn't fiberglass or timber :)

It would be interesting, VERY interesting to see just how many boat order Riviera has take after 4months of this video's release. I m guessing they have probably got 80 boats in build right now and another 100 on order! Great video guys. So well shot, edited and compiled!

Such a great, quality product on the world stage. I'm just a little depressed that I'm waay too old to do an apprenticeship!
The one advantage to being older I found was that after a lifetime of working and saving....can finally afford to buy a nice boat. I would find that more interesting than learning to install the same cabinetry every 18 days in a new hull or some such task. Don't get me wrong; building is fun and interesting and rewarding, but simply messing about in boats is very interesting.
