Yes they will. I’ve owned numerous tacomas and 4Runners and They all rusted out and broke down over and over. New Toyotas suck. Ask any Toyota guy. Literally have no issues with my chevys.
@@veikkovahasoyrinki3200 the average person will not be offroading every single day to get to work or when they're picking up groceries. Maybe once a year or twice will it ever see any offroad usage.
Toyotas are great but at eoughly 50% of original msrp for a car very likely at more than 50% through light repair life, this is bad finance. As an owner of many Toyotas, they certainly are reliable but don't fool yourself and overpay for used (and who knows how badly abused) Toyotas.
I have an original 1997 Toyoda prodo Right ,,26yrs old and no rush and Like new..Turbo intercooler 3.0L diesel.Great truck reliable.. Way better then American one..
My 4.7 v8 GX460 has 320k and runs well without spending much on it. Land Cruiser prado is more comparable to a Lexus GX then a 4Runner. Hell of a car. Just as confident in it as my hilux
Its a nice car, but the car is overpriced because its a full size toyota suv that are super popular right now specially in north america where they don't make as many of these.
Yes the 5th Gen 4RUNNER is worth the money, especially in the Limited trim with 3rd row. Unfortunately the new 4RUNNER will have a 4cyl turbo and hybrid battery/electric motor, so it wont be as reliable, even after 5 or so years of ironing out any flaws as compared to the 4.0L V6/5speed trans in the 5th Gen. 2017+ were the better years for quality as well. These may actually go up value with the 6th Gen release.
i would not pay 10 grand let alone 20k for it for how high gas prices are today. Plus insurance, registration and everything else that comes along with owning such a big car.
@@mosthated8190do you know that there are countries where gas is not a concern eh? I mean like AT ALL. If you're from UK or something it doesn't mean no one can afford gas
@@dust_gale3108 that’s not what I meant at all , I was referring to the MPG on the 4Runners . Here in California gas is expensive, I’m not saying he or anybody can’t afford gas.
I wouldn’t. Not old enough to be worth it. I’d probably offer $3,000 and that includes if someone did a bunch of money wasting things to it. Just because you put $10,000 in suspension on an old car don’t mean it’s worth 50,000 when you bought it it for probably $2,500 bucks of Facebook marketplace.
Definitely not the best value for a 4Runner. Especially when their reliably isn’t as well proven as the 2000s ones. Always looking for toyos with the mods I’d add anyway. Paying $2k less for a car with $3k mod that I’d get anyway is a steal
