The 'Low Regret Rate' argument is so incredibly disingenuous - There is NO long term data on these horrific interventions being performed on children. DERANGED.

I think that argument is based on a study from about 2016 and it was still very early stages then. Plus I heard that there was no real reliable follow up on transitioners to see how they were doing or if they were happy with their situation.

@@andrewjoyner4133 It is based on a long term study (1970s-2010s) in the Netherlands but very flawed indeed. Its 1% regret rate is based on about 69% of the people that transitioned in the Netherlands in that period. The remaining 31% were "lost to follow-up" which could be anything from emigrated to unalive. Also, the comparison with hip-replacement is flawed: trans regret is defined as a full detransition, including all the surgery necessary to "revert" to your birth sex. But hip/knee replacement regret is defined as "not being entirely happy with the result" rather than taking out the replacement hip/knee.

Your essence is female though, because you are female. Robin's is male. He actually cannot have an 'essence of femaleness', because he'll never be female. The closest he'll ever get to it is 'confused essence of male'. He is simply a man who is convinced he is something that he's not.

Hips and knees are in no way reasonable comparison to your genitals. There over a 1000 families are suing the Tavastock clinic that sure sounds like a lot of regret to me.

All credit to the interviewee but he says he felt uncomfortable having to present to the world as male. The difficulty is that even post-transition, he still does present to the world as male. I'm sorry but it's true. Instead of presenting as male, he now presents as a male in a dress. It may feel different for him and he may feel more aligned to his desired gender and I'm pleased if that's the case. But it simply isn't reasonable to expect others to ignore the evidence of their eyes and ears. Plus this is an adult. Most people are not bothered by what adults choose to do. But children are a different matter.

Irrelevant. Andrew should have asked his guest to acknowledge mistakes in diagnosis, social contagion, the alarming rise in trans numbers. The harm being done, the fast tracking, the lack of questioning, the 'trans fixes all your mental issues' lie, big pharma corruption, medical mal-practise. With so much at stake mistakes MUST BE PREVENTED. As far as numbers of regret. I can imagine many dare not admit what they have done to themselves and struggle on in misery. Because to admit it may lead to self deletion.

I get it that he transitioned as an adult... but recent years (last 10 years ish or longer depending on one's home country) trans and gender confusion has been focused on children which has resulted in MASSIVE increases in the number of children identifying as the opposite sex and thus massive increases in puberty blockers and cross sex hormones being used on them. Many childhoods are being sacrificed

Once you chopped it off , your not sticking it back on again. That may explain why there is not a lot of de transition. There affectivitly is NO WAY to go back. Which is one reason why it should be serious and long term process and NOT how it is done now.😮

Why should it be done at all? The longest study out of Sweden, demonstrated no improvement long term and an increased self deletion rate 40 times higher than the general public plus additional physical health issues caused by the "treatments" themselves.

More and more young kids are detransitioning, this speaks for itself. If these children who are having this pushed on them, went to therapy first for a few years, you can bet your bottom dollar that most of them wouldnt go near this surgery. Its a trend these days to be trans amongst kids, its not gender dysphoria, its peer pressure and a trend. Thats why the first port of call for any child who gives into peer pressure, should be to see a therapist, not be pushed to have their body mutilated.

No, I suspect he's starting to worry, because the tide is turning, and the bullying tactics of trans activists and their refusal to discuss the gaping holes in their ideology, make them seem even more unreasonable and unhinged. Robin thought he'd turn up and get a few lies in, to try to muddy the waters. As a bloke in a frock who is convinced that being a confused male makes him a woman, he doesn't have any credibility to begin with.

Okay, let's try again from WPATH definition of GENDER IDENTITY: "GENDER IDENTITY [refers to] a person's deeply felt internal intrinsic sense of their own GENDER." Starting at Gender(?) and circling back to Gender (!!!). That should be clear now, that "GENDER IDENTITY" is "sense of [one's] own GENDER." P.S. He's a "barrister." Autogynephilia should have been at least mentioned for males, barristers or otherwise.

The problem with saying the regret rate is low is that those figures are probably 5 or more years out of date. This has become a craze, the number of supposedly trans children has increased hugely. Well done to GBNews for sensible discussion, basically giving someone airtime to explain without being shouted down. RMW strikes me as a sad person, having to turn yourself into a travesty of a woman in order to quell inner demons isn’t good. I wonder if research is being done into how to help such a person without resorting to surgery. Of course extremists would call that conversion therapy, and get it banned.

The only people being followed up and answering surveys are the people who are happy with their gender reassignment, and the data is out of date. The true rate of detransitioning in 2024 is reckoned to be between 25% and 33%.

Helen Joyce's book Trans, affirms the rights of Trans people and those who legitimately experience gender dysphoria. The issue is the medicalising of children and the loss of rights for biological women. The trans activists, many of whom are not trans are a very aggressive group. Joyce calls this out too.

He had it done so he supports it. He also gives a number for regret rates. I don't believe they do follow up 5 years post surgery. I think people who detransition don't go back to the clinic where they're were seen. Why would they?

Richie, the detransitoner interviewed later, said that had he returned the clinic, he would be recorded as a F to M transitioner instead of the reality, a male who transitioned to female and regretted it.

His brother also died of an overdose. Money was a psychologist who believed that paedophiles , or as he termed it, minor attracted persons was a normal variation of sexual interest. A hip replacement is needed because the hip is damaged, unlike an already healthy body that transitions, for a so called scientist he doesn't know that you can't compare like with unlike. To use ones own experience and generalise it to everyone else is akin to comparing the whole world to yourself, or measuring the whole world by your own life. It's narcissistic, because it doesn't seem to understand that every life is unique. Trans people are not carbon copies of each other, and neither are gay or heterosexual people carbon copies of each other. The easiest way to understand the self evident that I have outlined is to get out of yourself.

So he just said that gender has everything to do with secondary sex characteristics... which makes gender a biological construct and is directly tied to sex because ssc have everything to do with sex and nothing to do with gender(if we use the concept of gender that is used today).He said it himself... has nothing to do with the social constructs of gender norms/clothes/behavior/roles but everything to so with how one looks. Appearance is sexed and not gendered.

He keeps his male voice as it holds more gravitas in a courtroom than the high-pitched, squeaky, 'feminine' voice he mimicked and then said no one would take him seriously if he sounded like. Rather than a lack of courage or openness from his side of the debate being the reason why no other trans advocate invited came on the show, it is a woman, a tireless fighter for women and children's rights in this debate, who is blamed for why his friends didn't show up. He, then, is immediately a hero just for showing up. So sick of this classic mansplaining and women-blaming. Is there any way we can 'trans' away the mansplaining reflex? I love how he brushes over the lack of detransitioner data. Ex-Tavistock doctor Dr Az Hakeem is on record as saying that the data isn’t even collected, so we have no idea of the true numbers. What’s worse, if you’re a detransitioner and go back to the clinic to fix issues, they count you as a gender affirming care/trans success as they’ve ‘fixed’ your issue! Madness!

Listening to detransitioners is crucial in all of this. Ritchie Herron has said that he thought those who had been on puberty blockers actually 'passed' less than those who have never taken them. For him to say that is hugely significant.

Not sure what the point of having Robin Moria White on is? She transitioned in her 40s whereas most if not all the issue with the WPATH leaks have to do with the medical transition of minors.

Not the first "intellectual" to be wrong. In making men and women interchangeable we don’t expand our vision of the person, but severely reduce it. Childhood is no longer a time of dependence and innocence. The proper role of parents is no longer to protect children’s innocence. Good parenting means giving children guilt-free opportunities to explore their sexuality. Sexualising children is wrong.

For them to match you have to be able to define what your gender identity is though beyond feeling. I can say i feel sick, but it's because I've eaten too much chocolate.. where is a the because..?? you already know your sex so your halfway there... All I'm hearing is my gender identity is whatever I say it is, whatever I want I'm an adult so I get. They are coming across like children who are demanding to stay up past their bedtimes, while the parents are saying you've got school in the morning..!!
